We finally saw the telecast of Filmfare Awardslast night, and wrote down what we thought about it. We weren't the only ones writing our thoughts down though, the editor of Filmfaremagazine, Jitesh Pillai did the same, and boy did he have a some strong words to say! Here are a few interesting excerpts from the editor's post-awards note-

A gentle word of caution for our teeming star aspirants... It takes a world of merit to ensure front row seats. And one should have the charm and grace, not to mention a body of work, before aspiring for a seat there. We look upon the awards as a celebration of cinematic excellence but some, sadly, perceive it as a display of their so-called clout in the industry. You don't get an award because you're powerful but because your work merits praise. There is a whole process in place " the masses vote for their favourites, based on that the nominations come up and then a jury of peers decides who the first among equals is. And it's not the end of the line if you don't win it this year. One should have the largeness of heart to clap for someone else's win, to appreciate someone else's efforts. Otherwise what's the point of applauding an artiste?
