Pay parity issue: Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapur got Rs. 4 crores each for Fitoor
Next week's big release Fitoor seems to have solved the pay-parity issue. Apparently, both Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur were paid Rs 4 crores each for the film.
Says a source, "Katrina is senior to Aditya Roy Kapur. So it was felt she should be paid on a par with Aditya Roy Kapoor. In fact Aditya would have been paid much less. Since he is producer Siddharth Roy Kapur's brother he got the kind of money that he wouldn't have otherwise demanded and got."
The Fitoor director Abhishek Kapoor has been paid Rs 10 crores.
Says a trade insider, "Wonder what qualifies Abhishek Kapoor for the Rs 10 crores fee that he has demanded and got for Fitoor. Rock On and Kai Po Che were hardly the kind of raging successes that would justify that kind of remuneration."
A trade insider who wishes to go unnamed says, "There is very little interest in Fitoor except Katrina Kaif. But her chemistry with Aditya Roy Kapur is absolutely thanda."
