I think this will depend on whether Kavita is hiding after the murder or she is roaming around!!

If she is roaming around, then it is like she is too over confident that she won't be caught and hence there are chances of her blackmailing Sanskaar.

But if she is just shown hiding after the incident, then that cannot happen
