Sita Meets Ram- Short story
Sita returns to Mithila from Maharshi Vishwamitra's ashram. All the girls reach their antahpura. Sita is so quite even though Urmila Mandavi and Sruthkeerthi are quarreling among themselves. This went along for few minutes. Sita didn't respond. Her sisters are surprised with her strange behaviour. they stopped quarreling and asked their sister as what happened to her. Sita came back to senses and said nothing. She walked out and saying that she wants to stay alone.
Sita starts walking into forest in Mithila
Sita reminiscing what had happend a day before at Maharshi Vishwamithra ashram. Sita and her sisters were playing with children. Ram reached there but he was at a long distance that he could not see Sita properly. Ram and Lakshman witness Sita and her sisters but were unaware of their identity. Ram and Lakshman decided not to go into ashram but wait outside and protect. Maharshi Vishwamitra entered ashram and announces that all are safe inside the ashram and orders everyone not to go anywhere outside the ashram. Sita resumed playing with children.
There Ram and Lakshman were sitting under a tree. Just then one old man offers them some pudding in a mud pot. ram being generous accepted the offering and expressed his gratitude. Ram finished drinking the pudding first and identified then painting work on it is similar to the work on cloth Sita tied to Ashwamedha horse. Ram realised that young girls trying to cheer up the children were none other than Sita and may be her sisters. he decided to meet Sita and express his gratitude to Sita for feeding their horse. He then dropped that idea as it was akward to do so and decided to focus on his work.
Sita was tired of playing and decided to sit down. Sita her sisters and children sat down. Sita decided to tell a story to everyone. Sita during her childhood listened to adventures and wisdom of Ram. Unaware of the fact of Ram's presence Sita was telling them about Ram and greatness of Raghukul. she went on for a quite long time at the end of the story everyone started cheering SRI RAM JI KI JAI HO.
Ram who dozed off for a moment woke up and was surprised to see people cheering for him. He wondered if Sita knew about him But how?...
The croud stopped cheering all of the sudden when a old woman suddenly fell ill and fainted. Sita immediately ran towards her to help. She sensed something wrong. She went to Maharshi Vishwamitra to seek help but he was in penace. She decided not to disturb him abd swiftly ran out of ashram towards the huge waterfall to fetch water and medicine. her sisters stopped her but in vain.
There Ram witnessed everything. Lakshman was sleeping. He swiftly ran in the direction of Sita with his bow and arrow.
Sita reached the waterfall collected water and also some medicinal leaves. Ram was still searching for her. He decided to call out for her. He didnot do so as he was not sure whether she was Sita or not. He was searching her anxiously. Sita is on her way back to ashram. Atlast Ram noticed Sitas footprints and assumed that she may be walking back to ashram. He increased his pace to reach Sita.
Marich and Subahu witnessed Sita walking back. They decided to attack her. Subahu created darkness in the forest with his magical powers. Sita is frightened but kept walking. She heard different voices and thunder bolts. she knew it was Rakshas maya. Ram then saw Sita far down the way. He ran for her rescue. Subahu was irritated with Sita's behaviour and attacks her with an arrow. Ram swiftly stops the arrows with his ones. Sita was then praying lord with her eyes closed. Ram ran swiftly stood infront of sita to defend her. he used his powerful arrow and shot Subahu. He screamed and then the darkness disappeared. Marich ran away.
Sita opened her eyes and saw a person standing in front of her. Before she could say anything Ram turned around and asked her if she was okay. Sita was lost in Ram's eyes she kept mum.Ram realised that she is Sita by her attire. Ram thanked her. Sita didn't understand what happened. She didn't knew it was Ram. They both walked back to ashram and everyone praised Ram. They cheered Sri Ram Ki Jai ho. Then Sita got to know it was Ram and she now understood why Ram thanked her.
She saw Ram smiling at her and she replied with a smile.
Now Sita came back to her senses and realised that she is wandering in jungle and decide to go back to her Raj bhavan, Sita still cannot forget Ram's smile and smiled at her foolish behaviour
