Actor Iqbal Khan (IK), aka Ishaan Hooda, shares his thoughts with Ikyatha Yerasala (IY) on the end of Pyar Ko Ho Jaane Do, what he plans to do next and more...
Fans of Sony's Pyar Ko Ho Jaane Do (PKJHD) are heartbroken after the show's not so happy ending. Ardent admirers of Ishaan (Iqbal Khan) and Preet (Mona Singh) can't stop expressing their disappointment over the fact that they won't be watching Ishpreet's sizzling romance on the telly anymore.
Iqbal Khan, who played the role of Ishaan aka Rizwan, speaks about his experience with PKHJD and how he's grateful to his faithful fans for their undying support for the show, that was abruptly pulled off air...
IY : Tell us about the tragic ending of PKHJD. Were you expecting a sad climax?
IK: I wasn't expecting a regular kind of ending for the show because from the first to the last frame, we have always tried to be different. I was expecting something different and that's how it was.
IY: Heartbroken fans of the show cannot stop mourning on social media platforms. What would you like to tell them?
IK: I want to tell all my fans " thank you and I love you all. The effect the show has had on everyone only proves that our hard work has paid off. The love people have shown towards my character is overwhelming.

IY: What are you going to miss most about PKHJD?
IK: From the cast and the story, to the way I have acted in the show " I am going to miss everything about PKHJD. It has been the most satisfying show for me creatively and has been a great journey. The whole experience has been very different, amazing and pure. Hope my next show is even better.
IY: Content driven programmes hardly run for long on television and it's always the saas bahu shows that dominate screen space. What's your take on this?
IK: I don't believe that is true. I think whenever the content is good, it always works. In this case, the channel did not take the show seriously. I feel that if the same show or something similar was on another channel, for example Colors, then its fate would have been different.
IK: What's happening next for you? More work or a break?
IY: I have never planned anything. Of course, I have been working non-stop for the last six months " 12 hours a day, plus two hours of traveling! So it has been pretty hectic. I want to take a break " maybe for a couple of months and then get back to work again. You have to give time to your family, maybe take them out somewhere. Family is important, everything has to be balanced, so right now it's family time.
IY: Good luck, Iqbal. A special hello to you from your Twitter fans .
BTW, we love the way you love your family!
