Such a moving, subtly emotional, lovely couple of gems, chapters 45 and 46 were! So many lovely little nuggets of---for want of a better word--wisdom. 🤗 🤗
I loved that bit in chap 45, about Lakshya suddenly realizing the depth of Ragini's love for him. And the realization humbles him---which was understandable---and also, which was the brilliantly profound part--makes him feel a twinge of something. Envy? Wistfulness? A bittersweet pang?
That realization was so superb, Bubble---hats off to you for putting that in. That to feel such love was a benediction for the person feeling the emotion. The recipient of such love is fortunate, of course, but it is the person feeling it whose heart is filled with that glorious emotion. That understanding was so very lovely!
Liked the warm banter at the dining table, and Lakshya certainly did raise a few laughs with his typical sibling way of half proudly, half snidely dissing his bro! 😆 And Lakshya actually discusses business in your Fic! Acquisition of a high end printing firm, no less!! 😉
Bubble, I know I've mentioned this before, but I can't resist repeating it: how much I feel the Lakshya in your take is better than the serial one. In the serial, he was preyty much anchorless, purposeless and immature. Whereas in your fic, while he is definitely not as focused and determined as Sanskaar, he has his own strengths too.
And that insight into individual natures was a nice little nugget here. Sanskaar---brilliant, driven, diligent and hard working at the office, likes to slack off and relax once he arrives home. He does like his wife to fuss over him, and give him little snacks and water in hand. 😆 😉
Lakshya, less stellar in terms of his work commitment (perhaps he would get there in time), is more handy in terms of fending for himself at home. (Of course, the one in your fic, the one in the serial is equally at sea in both places! 😛 🤣). So he can whip up a decent upma and pasta---good for him. Pasta is one of my favorites, BTW. 😉
The same subtle beauty continued into Chap 46 as well. Ragini going out to "see off" Lakshya, and then spending an hour and a half talking in the corridor---typical hubby--wife behavior when the wife is seeing off hubby from her maika. 😉
And Lakshya's frank revelation to Ragini, that he had Swara's happiness on his conscience as well---was touching, as well as reassuring to Ragini. She'd always obsessed incessantly that Lakshya still desired Swara, or could not get over her. But what he's feeling now is far more subtle, far more responsible. He wants to see her finding happiness and contentment, in a loving married life with Sanskaar.
Shomi's reactions here were so moving, so maternal. She came through as a genuinely wonderful person, who desires all happiness for both her daughters--her birth child as well as her step child. A very mature, understanding and forgiving woman. Thankfully, not as unrealistically mahaan/ doormat-like, as in the serial, either. 😛
The superb insight in this chapter was the little wisdom about love, which Shomi imparts to Ragini, in typical mother to daughter style. That she should just love Lakshya, deeply, happily, without clinging and nagging and expecting and equivalent reciprocation from him.
As she so beautifully said, love is a deeply potent force, and can be irresistible to the recipient, when the person displaying all that love does so unconditionally, selflessly and warmly. Lakshya would reciprocate in time, and all signs are, that he is already beginning to do so.
Superb, Bubble. Now I do hope for the next couple of chapters, in your inimitably subtle and lovely style, on SwaSan. 😉 I got to know from Lakshya that they are roaming around in a haze of romance and pheromones, do let us know more about that!! 😆 😳
Love,
