Our avid readers would have recently read a story about ace Director Nissar Parvez and creative genius Alind Srivastava joining hands to form a company Peninsula Pictures. We had also hinted to them making a show for Zee TV, a Bengali family drama with a slice of thrill and mystery..

Yes, Vishkanya is the same show!!

Now giving you an inside scoop on the show, the story will be about a particular family who will have a lineage of few Vishkanya's being born in their family, without them being aware of the girl's extraordinary powers. In this family will be born the female protagonist, who would be drawn into a revenge tale in the midst of a blossoming love story...

Now to the lead cast...

Credible sources tell us that seasoned actress Rohini Banerjee who was last seen in shows Saas Bina Sasural and Chhanchhan will play an extremely important role. She will play the character who will draw the female protagonist into the revenge tale.

We hear that the lead cast (boy and girl) are still to be locked. However, handsome lad Ankit Gupta who won all hearts as Parth in Sadda Haq is a strong contender to bagging the male lead's role.

Our source further states, "Ankit Gupta has a bright chance of playing the male lead in Vishkanya. However, nothing has been finalized on papers yet. The team is presently working towards locking the main girl who will play the Vishkanya."

When contacted, Rohini Banerjee refused the buzz stating, "I really do not know what you are talking about."

Ankit Gupta remained unavailable for comment.
