Do people actually believe Alia is dumb?

Hey everyone!

I'm sure all of us know about the famous Alia jokes which swept the nation an year back. Loads of laughs were had out of Alia's 'dumb as a doorknob' image.

The question though is- do people actually believe she is dumb?

I, for one, think she is an extremely shrewd and smart girl. She has successfully used self-deprecatory humour and her 'dumb girl' image for publicity. After all, there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Honestly, I even think she faked that goof up over the President's name on KWK since she knew it would bring her attention.

This also brings me to the question- does Alia play dumb 'cause she thinks intelligent female celebs are not too popular with the audience? Does it give the public some perverse pleasure to think a star lacks few grey cells? Is it a case of not wanting someone to 'have it all'?

Anyway, do you actually think Alia Bhatt is dumb?

I don't think anyone can survive & make it big in BW being dumb. So Alia is definitely not dumb. Also, there's a difference between being dumb & being ignorant of world affairs or even basic things like the president's name.

I agree. BW is a cutthroat world and I don't think most of these actors are 'dumb'. They are quite shrewd and quick. Intelligence can be of different types. Emotional intelligence is very important.

I have seen that the audience gets some perverse pleasure by calling actors/models dumb. Is it because it's difficult to tolerate a beauty with brains combo?

I wouldnt say she's dumb. But I would call her ignorant and not well read, hence probably why she answered the questions KWK as she did. As someone pointed pointed out earlier, you need emotional intelligence, strength and shrewdness to survive in Bollywood (and having a family name is also a big factor). Her PR team can be called intelligent as they really played up on that interview. People knew who she was before KWK but after the episode she became a household name and the whatsapp chain messages, AIB video and other PR strategies had a major role in this.

as for the kwk thingy i doubt if it was nt scripted as they know
the questions that would be thrown..kjo being the mentor i bet
was helping alia to build her brand of "innocence" 😉

the dumbest are those who can not rise above I me myself
n spends hours projecting themselves as victim n believes
the world will be fooled to believe their innocence 😆

in short no one in Bollywood is actually innocent ...
connecting with ppl requires the skill to manipulate n influence
audience's psychology ..to own befitting advantage..
n each of these stars have that talent so all are super intelligent
n good salesman/woman without the mba degree 😆

the prerequisite for being a bollywood star..never had "being a GK champ" as a requirement anyway😆
