Apart from Delhi, I guess overall metro cities are still safer in India specially Mumbai. You can go out at 12, have a icecream and comeback by auto in Mumbai. In Kolkata somewhat around 10-10:30 is still okay. Chennai and Bangalore I haven't explored much got back to place within 9 pm and roads were pretty crowded at that time. Only in Delhi I see girls are in hurry and want to leave by 6 pm at any cost.

bt the most noticiable trend is that now most cases are gang rape..
as if ppl know if sin committed in gang then one can escape easily
second most alarming trend is now rape is also revenge rape..
someone has a problem with a brother or a father..make the daughter or sister
pay..these two situations very rattling..
n third is even a child knows lower court to higher court to supreme court
journey takes 12-15 yrs so no one actually cares a damn abt law ..
within 15 years all circumstantial evidences are conveniently destroyed/distorted..
so criminal cases are nothing bt a sere waste of time energy n money..

Lol talk about exaggeration. Rape and molestation happen everywhere not just in India. I live in a city in India where I travel by public transport and return home from work @ 8:30-9:00 pm, so far I haven't faced any untoward incident, maybe I'm lucky or alert of my surrounding. Nice to know people who faced such unfortunate incidents have moved out of this intolerant, abusive, filthy country and made their abode in perfect places.

Lol. People here are behaving as if Delhi is the worst place to live in. I have spent considerable amount of time in Delhi as well as other cities in India. And no Delhi is not as horrible as people here are making out to be. I have travelled late nights in public transport including buses, mini buses mostly filled with guys but have never been harassed. Not just buses, even autoes, cabs take you to your destination pretty safely. Yes, there are remote areas where it is difficult to go during midnights and the reason is that Delhi doesn't have a specific state culture where like say Chennai or Bangalore or Hyderabad. There's a lot of migration that happens as people from various areas go there for work. People in media and social networking just paint an image for their benefits.

Otherwise Delhi is home for truck load of state and central govt employees, shit load of MNCs, thousands and thousands of labourers, some of the largest central universities for under grad and post grad and you don't expect all of this shiz to run smoothly without any safety. And certainly not all of these people run back to homes at 6.

I don't deny the fact the Nation highways on North are scarier than the NHs on South though. In the case of former ones, you need hockey sticks/bats in your cars.

And what's with this ZOMG! India is so horrible bullshit. 🤪
