CHAPTER 11: WHEN YOU CAME IN MY LIFE AGAIN
"Carefully Ranveer!" Ishani said ,supporting Ranveer by his shoulders while getting down from Audi Q7.
"Ishani! Really I'm fine! Don't worry about me." Said Ranveer, looking at ishani, whose face spoke how much she was worried. Ranveer was getting annoyed but he knew that ishani would not allow him to do anything else apart from rest. He wanted to talk with her, watch her innocent smile that had power to bring warmth in his heart. He wanted to give her every happiness of the world every moment. But for now he was helpless before her.
Ishani glared at Ranveer and he knew what was coming to him.
"You better be silent, Ranveer. Leave this matter to me. I have seen enough of how much fine you are. Now let's go inside."
Ranveer chose to remain silent over this as lily got out of the Audi. Saurabh drove car further to park near the house.
The fresh breeze of air coming out of trees if empress, linden and london plane around the house welcomed them. The garden around the house was well maintained and efforts taken could be easily seen by the beauty of house. Though it was not a big one but Still it was eye catching.
Ranveer looked at house which captivated his mind as Ishani supported Ranveer by shoulders to help him walk. Saurabh parked the car as all silently went into the house, lily leading them.
"Welcome to our home! I'm happy to meet you Mr. Ranveer. I know our home is little bit smaller but I hope you would like it."
Lily said, sounding as welcoming as she could be. She was feeling nervous having such a successful businessman in her home. She directed them to the sofas kept in living room.
"Don't feel nervous, lily. I am like your elder brother. And what is this! You are hoping that I would like it? No,I love it! " Ranveer said, smiling and faking anger at lily, cheerfully. He sat down with ishani sitting next to him.
"Actually I must thank you for everything you have done so far for ishani. " Ranveer added greatfully.
Ishani smiled along with Saurabh who had entered before few moments. Saurabh also took a seat opposite to both of them.
" Yeah lily. Your home is really sweet and neatly maintained. But I must say I am not surprised at all. After all this is the beautiful and lovely home of equally wonderful girl!" Saurabh said ,admiring the beauty of the house.
"Thanks, Saurabh." Said lily, blushing by the praise.
"Lily, why don't you show me your home? After all I'm your guest today!" Saurabh suggested to lily, smiling and winked her ,giving a quick gaze towards ishani and Ranveer.
"Oh yes! Really I almost forgot that! So let's see my house. Ishani, why don't you go to the room with Ranveer? He needs rest and we are going to take a walk around the house." Lily suggested.
She quickly understood what Saurabh hinted at.
"Ranveer, come with me. You should take rest now, seriously. " paying no attention to ranveer's frowning ,ishani continued, " Lily, when you are done with Saurabh, let me know. Saurabh if you don't mind, I want to talk with you for a while."
" yeah sure! I am ready whenever you want to. But for now I think someone is waiting desperately for me. I'm such cool guy!" Saurabh said ,trying to hide his grin.
Ranveer chuckled at this, but quickly brought serious expressions on the face when he saw ishani giving angry stare to him. He instead started pretending to scold Saurabh.
"Saurabh, stop flirting. It's not been even a day since we have come here."
Saurabh again tried to hide his grin at this but as he glanced at lily he fell silent. She was looking really disturbed.
"Hey! I didn't mean it. Come on! I was joking. Ok, I'm really sorry here! I shouldn't have said that." Saurabh said guiltily as he watched expressions of lily.
Lily looked upset. She gave a dead pan look to Saurabh. Saurabh who had already assumed that lily had taken it seriously, was by now feeling terribly sorry.
'I knew that! this habit of mine would put me in trouble. And look! What has happened now. ' Saurabh snapped himself mentally.
Lily took a look at everyone in the room for once.
Then she started to giggle loudly, sounds of her laughter roaring in the room.
Saurabh who was annoyed with himself, bemused ,stared goofily at lily's laughter. Ishani and Ranveer too,were bewildered to see lily laughing all of sudden.
"What! Why you all are looking at me like that?" Lily asked them barely trying to control her giggles.
"Oh,come on! I was also joking. And look! You got really scared."
Lily continued to grin as other three understood that lily was only playing prank on them. She was not really upset. Tension in the room got dissolved as everyone had joined her laughing heartily,Saurabh being first of the three.
"Seriously! You nearly gave me heart attack. You were joking and I was worried here! I have some very bad experiences with it. " Saurabh said with sigh of relief.
"And ishani, you don't have to ask me to talk. You can talk to me whenever you want. "
Saurabh said.
Ishani smiled at him.
"It's very nice of you, Saurabh. We'll talk when you return."
"Well,what kind of experiences?" Lily asked sounding interested.
"Oh, leave it. I will tell that some other day."
"Interesting. I'll wait for the day. By the way, don't you think we were going to show you our house?" Lily reminded him.
"Oh yes! Ishani now take my friend for rest. Let's go, lily!" Saurabh stood up to go with lily.
Saurabh and lily left the living room as ishani held Ranveer by shoulders and they started walking together towards Ishani's room.
"Ishani, I don't think I will need to rest. I'm feeling pretty good. And seriously you should stop worrying!" Ranveer said.
"No. You need it. whether you say yes or no doesn't matter. Ranveer, you must not be so careless for yourself. Please, do take care of yourself ,at least for me." Ishani flared up.
She knew that Ranveer hated to be confined to bed. Even when it was need of an hour. He was always the one who simply choose to ignore his health and plunges himself in anything of his interest.
"Ok. I'll listen to you but you too,have to listen to me.whatever I will say you will have to do it. Deal?" Ranveer asked ishani, smiling.
They took the door to left and walked down the corridor.
"I'll do as you say ,fine? Now please take some rest Ranveer!" Said ishani ,tired of the fighting over the topic. Ranveer was such a fool sometimes.
Ranveer smirked at ishani.
"Ok then! First thing I want is to see the smile on your worried face which is my biggest happiness. And that too, every time I will see at you." Ranveer said softly.
He had always felt immense pleasure when ishani got over concerned for him, her love for him crystal clear through her eyes. But that wasn't something he wanted to see her like.
Her smile was what he really wanted to witness.
Ishani smiled at Ranveer, staring into his eyes which were flooded with love ,like hers. They slowly stopped in the way ,lost in each other's eyes. Their eyes spoke volumes even though they were silent. How easy it was for them to read each other through the eyes! They could feel the the same love and longing for each other ,reflecting in their eyes.
It was ishani who came to her senses first as she felt Ranveer's legs slightly wobbling. She smiled to herself blushing as she diverted her gaze at the door. She opened the door of her room and entered with Ranveer. Ranveer pouted as ishani separated herself from him to get a glass of water.
"So Ranveer, I have done what you wanted. Now you will do what is needed." Ishani said looking triumphantly at Ranveer. She poured water from jug kept on into the glass.
While Ranveer unwillingly advanced towards the bed covered with pink bedsheet of floral design, ishani made him drink water.
She helped Ranveer get on the bed and sat beside him. While Ranveer lied down on the bed, ishani covered him up to chest with soft quilt of purple design on light blue.
"Ishani, I am not finished yet. I want you to be here when I will wake up from my nap. Not only for now but forever. I want to open my eyes just to see you every morning.I love you and I want you by my side. Forever. Will you?" Ranveer asked lovingly to ishani, pulling her gently towards him. He cupped her face, which was staring at him innocently. He had always loved that look of her's. It was very this expression which had stolen his heart and made it's beats fluttering when he had seen her for first time.
Ishani too,cupped his face, her eyes brimming with tears, she said,
"Ranveer, I love you too and I will always be there by your side.To live without you is like living without soul,living without anything worth living for. Ranveer you too, promise me that you will never leave me. I have lived without you, dying every second. I...I will die if I lost ..lost you."
Ishani's voice crackled as she poured her heart out.
"Shh..! Never even think of it again! I am not going anywhere." Ranveer swept her tears gently from cheeks.
"I have come here for you and I promise that I will not leave you alone. I have done a mistake and I'm not repeating it at any cost. Ishani, you know I can't see you crying. It pains me more than anything else. "
"Ok, I'll not cry." Ishani said smiling through the tears.
"Let's sleep now. You are clever huh? Trying to meddling me in your talks, aren't you now? " Ishani said faking anger at Ranveer.
"Oh really! Am I? And what about you said just? Let's sleep!" Emphasizing the last words,Ranveer said mockingly, smirking at her.
Ishani blushed at this. Smiling with her face crimson, she dabbed Ranveer on shoulders.
"We had made a deal, remember?" Ishani quipped.
"Ok, I was just going to sleep. You interrupted me first." Ranveer blamed her.
"What? I interrupted you! Who was it to pull me first?" Ishani retorted.
"What else could I do? Who told you to look that beautiful!" Ranveer smiling naughtily.
"You're...! Enough. Now no more arguments! You will sleep and that too,now" ishani warned Ranveer emphasizing last word.
"See! I'm arguing? It was you who started it and real culprit is blaming..." Ranveer fell silent as ishani glared daggers at him.
Ranveer quickly closed his eyes. He knew that if he continues it further ishani would beat him for sure.
It was good for him to sleep at the moment.
Ishani smiled at Ranveer. She had always loved to fight with Ranveer over silly things. Everything was becoming more and more beautiful. It was like heaven had returned to her life once again. Till the moment she met Ranveer the world was meaningless for her, life was punishment for her. But when Ranveer came everything changed. She got her reason for living, dreams, happiness and of course the person who would stand with her no matter what happens, who was the only person with power to heal her,who was the only person with whom she was in love crazily. And now when he had returned in her life she felt so alive, something she hadn't experienced in these years.
He was her everything and for him ,she was his everything. Ishani looked at the Ranveer's endearing and innocent face. Ranveer by now had fallen asleep. She caressed his face lovingly. His carefree look had a entirely different aura about it which enchanted ishani. She couldn't take her eyes off his face. She was the luckiest one in the world to have him as her love. And today God had granted her greatest happiness of her life.
She knew that there were so many things unsaid between them,so many things to be explained that would decide the course of their future but she wasn't afraid of them now that Ranveer was with her. Alone,she had been not able to tackle them but with Ranveer she could do anything. She definitely didn't know what destiny had in mind for her in future but for now she knew that only thing she could do and that was out of her control, was to love Ranveer more and more.
