NARENDRA MODI visited Godhra on the day of the burning of coach S-6 of the Sabarmati Express. His outburst provided the first sign to Sangh workers that the time to corner the Muslims had come

THAT VERY NIGHT, top BJP and Sangh leaders met at Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Godhra, and gave the green signal for an all-out assault on Muslims across the state

A STRATEGY was devised on how to shield the attackers from the law after the riots. Prominent lawyers were briefed and senior police officers taken into confidence. The cadres were told Modi was squarely behind them

THE MOBILISATION of the under castes, something the Sangh had been engaged in for years, dovetailed into the deep penetration Hindutva already had among Gujarat's higher castes. Godhra provided the perfect spark to fuse them together

FROM THE very outset, the police played partisan, often joining the mobs. Officers who tried to do their duty found their hands tied. The complicity was led by then Ahmedabad Commissioner PC Pandey, who ensured compliance by a swathe of junior officers

WEAPONS, FROM BOMBS to guns to trishuls, were either manufactured and distributed by Sangh workers themselves, or smuggled through Sangh channels from all over India. The Bajrang Dal and the VHP already had a large cache of firearms and daggers

BJP AND SANGH LEADERS led the bloodthirsty mobs through Ahmedabad's bylanes, Sabarkantha's villages, Vadodara's localities. The police stood guard to the mayhem

BJP MLA MAYABEN KODNANI drove around Ahmedabad's Naroda locality all day, directing the mobs. VHP leaders Atul Vaid and Bharat Teli did the same at the Gulbarg Housing Society. None of them ever went to jail

FIRE WAS THE MOST FAVOURED weapon in the rioters' hands. That cremation is considered un-Islamic fuelled their frenzy to burn. Petrol and kerosene were lavishly used, as were the victims' own gas cylinders

BABU BAJRANGI reveals he collected 23 revolvers from Hindus in Naroda Patiya. He called VHP general secretary Jaideep Patel 11 times and informed Gordhan Zadaphia, the then minister of state for home, about the death toll

GOVERNMENT COUNSEL before the Nanavati-Shah Commission, Arvind Pandya, himself worships Modi and describes Justice Shah as "our man". Nanavati's own report on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots is gathering dust till today

What's ur initial reaction?- What was done is done. It's history now. Why Do they have to release the tapes now since they were recorded in 2002. I Do support it though. but it was bad that they accused all the gujarati's of doing it

Are the sting operations of any use to the society? Do the Sting operations have any impact? As you can see the television. yes

My initial reactions - not surprised, it was already told many times before. If I remember correctly Modi was denied to visit USA because of his involvement with Gujrat riot.

About impact - not so sure about it's impact, but surely we get to know few hidden facts.

Biased - Depends from which angle you watch it. For supporters of the group/person, it will appear biased. They will have their own sentiments and logic. I don't know whether "TAHELKA" or these operations always works for or against some. I would support sting operations.

What's ur initial reaction?

definitely not at all surprized

Are the sting operations of any use to the society? Do the Sting operations have any impact?

mostly janata is unbiased unlike politicians who shamelessly came on tv to defend themselves with childish and silly facts

Are the sting operations biased?

these operations are to bring out truth n reality be it from police department or politics or law n order or the biased domination of gender in the society - it mostly depicts reality, the harsh reality thats why not all can accept it whole-heartedly... the operations are biased as they cannot be sold or done for extra money, profit or gain - this may be the only matter of concern for those who believe in measuring every single thing in universe with some amount of $

Sting operations are mostly biased for the party that has funded the media carrying sting operation, any unbiased sting operation is reliable....

In this particular case all people knew that it was modi's creation of riots and still he was selected for next elections as CM, so this news doesnt affect the people of gujarath.... however the media brought this news just before elections and hence there is a chance of modi using it as a weapon of opposition to gain votes.... i would say wrong timing 😊

my initial reaction:..yes they are sad but about time for the truth to be out.

Their impact:Sting Operation are a success in our Country. The power of the media by writing or showing shall continue to prevail. This way the useless politician or the corrupted judiciary system will not be able to deny our right to information.Rather will be forced to let the truth come out. I fully support them as the truth about us and our leaders comes out in the open. They are eye openers.

Are they biased: Our TV media has a strong fiancial backing from investors plus with so much competition in this field among channels, they all try to come out clean and hence i highly doubt that they are biased.

Are the sting operations of any use to the society? Do the Sting operations have any impact? They definitely have an impact and it is useful too as it reveals the truth (read: Only if the operations are unbiased) But the sting operations are also used for purpose of politics.. Why would they want to release this tape now? Was it because Gujarat elections are near?? Such questions create a suspicion among the people as to if these sting operations are true or not.. Moreover, those who are used for revealing the truth can also be biased and might have got corrupted.. So, its hard to believe too..

Are the sting operations biased? Certain sting operations are too biased.. Though they reveal the truth, they definitely create suspicions too..

One more thing I would like to point out - Now that everyone are aware of the sting operations, it is tough to believe anyone.. Even if general public visit the officers, they might fear that a sting operation is being played on them.. 😆
