Indu Daasi: Didi, this Tannu is going to give birth to Abhi's baby. But I really don't like her. Hope the baby will not be like her and the baby is born okay. Can we get those test vest done to make sure all is well?
Daadi: Indu, what are you talking about?
Indu Daasi: Didi, my brother's daughter lives in Canada. She tested something for her baby before it was born. They found some problem and fixed it also. Some DNA test they did.
Daadi: What is this DNA?
Indu Daasi: Something important, Didi. From what I know it can help police to catch thieves and killers even using a hair strand. I saw it in "CID" serial also. You know one lady was lying about the father of her baby. And she got caught using this DNA. Kamaal ki cheez hain Didi, yeh DNA.
(Daadi wonders what this DNA is and talks about it with Pragya, Purab, Rachna and Aakash. Pragya explains to her what DNA is but then also brings up how Aaliyah had made some fake DNA proof. Now that Aaliyah is away, they hatch a plan using DNA. Daadi calls up the family doctor from City hospital and asks her to come visit her for a routine check up. When the doctor visits her, she explains Tannu's pregnancy problem and the doctor herself hatches a plan. They call Tannu and Abhi and tell Tannu that they will take her baby samples to screen for genetic disorders so that any problem can be detected early on and treated. Tannu is hesitant but gives blood given Daadi and Abhi insist showing concern. Two days later, the doctor calls Abhi. Abhi goes to meet the doctor).
Doc: Abhi, we have something to discuss. There a possible life threatening problem with baby's DNA. We have tested the mother's DNA too since we had the blood, but looks like the problem might be in your DNA. We need your samples to compare. If they match, then we can see if this is really a problem since you seem to be doing fine.
Abhi: Oh, No! Take my samples and I hope whatever the problem is can be treated.
(Abhi gives samples and two days later, the doctor calls him again to her office).
Doc: Abhi, we actually have a problem here.
Abhi: Yes doctor.
Doc: We did the test 3 times to confirm. Yet we have the same results.
(Doctor shows the report to Abhi and explains).
Doc: This is baby's DNA. It's a good match with the mother's but it does not match with your DNA at all.
Abhi: What does that mean?
Doc: I am sorry to say, our reports say that you are not the father of this baby.
Abhi: What nonsense, doctor? Did you do your tests right?
Doc: Abhi, we did the test three times to compare mother's and your DNA with the baby's. There is no match at all between yours and the baby's. If you don't trust us, get it done somewhere else. You can sue me if any lab finds a different result. Get the real father of the baby so that we can compare his DNA to address the problem.
(Abhi drives home thinking over and over about what he just heard from the doctor. He thinks back to the times he did not believe Tannu to be pregnant at all. Of course he didn't remember ever making this baby, never meant to make it too. All he was going by was Tannu's words and a proof that she was pregnant. Abhi boils with anger with the realization that Tannu had been playing him all along. He decides to call her out on this and does not even realize Nikhil present in her room when he starts to lash out on her).
Abhi: How dare you do this to me, Tannu?
Tannu: Abhi what happened? Why are you so mad?
Abhi: I will kill you right now, woman (holds her by arms and pushes her away).
(Nikhil gets concerned for Tannu).
Nikhil: Abhi, what are you doing, man? She is pregnant.
Abhi: Yes she is. But who knows with whose child? How dare you keep on lying to me about it Tannu? Pragya was right, you were only marrying me for money, and you were using this baby right?
Tannu: Did Pragya tell you this? She fed wrong information to separate me from you, Abhi. Don't believe her. This baby is yours.
Abhi: Mine? Say it again and I will cut your tongue off. Good that Daadi made us get a DNA test done. Look at these reports. Doctor tested my DNA because they found a life threatening problem with baby's DNA. They wanted to know if it matches with mine to address the problem. But it doesn't Tannu. Now just..
Nikhil: What happened to my baby? What is the problem?
Tannu: Shut up Nikhil.
Abhi: Your baby?
Nikhil: Yes my baby, enough of this drama, Tannu. Yes the baby is mine but this woman wanted to marry you, Abhi. I don't care anymore Tannu. I just want my baby to be safe. Abhi for the sake of baby, can you tell me what the doctor told? What is the serious problem?
Abhi: Nikhil you? You also lied to me about it all this while?
Nikhil: Abhi this is not the time to talk about it. I am so sorry for all this. Now help me save my baby. I beg you. Tell me what is the problem and how can I solve this.
(Nikhil frantically goes through the report).
Tannu: Nikhil stop this drama..
Nikhil: (slaps Tannu) You stop this drama, woman. I tolerated you all this while but not anymore. It's a shame I slept with you that night and thought I loved you. Now just give me my baby and get lost.
(Daadi walks in with the doctor and Pragya and announces that there is nothing wrong with baby but it was a way to make Abhi realize the baby was not his and expose Tannu. Abhi throws Tannu and Nikhil out of the house and locks himself in his room. Pragya and Daadi decide to finally explain everything to Abhi).
