Subh Asubh- Breaking of the Dhanush and Kings insulting words

I watched the episode once again today and I felt I need to touch upon this topic also from yesterday's episode. Those unkind words the kings spoke when the Dhanush was broken. In those unkind words was the anguish of a medicore society, who were happy that the exceptional among them was not able to complete the task.
Not a single moron sitting there could move the Dhanush an inch. Then came a man who not only lifted the Dhanush, but the Dhanush couldnt handle his power and it gave away. Instead of acknowledging this feat the idiots immediately jumped and started making statements. One said the condition of swayamvar is not met, other said Ram has insulted the Dhanush, third said Ram has hurt their pride, fourth called it asubh and one idiot went as far as to say Sita will be unmarried her whole life.

I couldnt understand why the morons couldnt challenge Ram, the way they were challenging each other and telling the winner will take Sita's hand. Those morons were telling they will not go till the swayamvar is complete. Why no one challenged Ram for a duel and put the same condition. Whoever wins will take Sita.

Reason was Ram hurt their pride for sure. Their victory was in Sita remaining unmarried, that would be the ultimate insult to Janak. They were willing to break the rule of the swayamvar, but they couldnt see someone more eligible, some one more qualified, someone more cultured and well behaving was going to get the hand of Janak Nandini without completing the condition.

This is what is called the tyranny of majority. A group of medicore people, with old ideas and old power equations who doesnt want any change. They will make noise. They will break rules, but they will impose the rules on good ones by their tyranny.

I was very much happy that neither Janak nor Ram fell to their bait. Janak like a noble king took command of the situation very well asking Ram to speak. And Ram clearly spoke his POV highlighting the importance of swayamvar. With his speech, he clearly gave Janak an option to take a stand even if the rule of the swayamvar was not completed. And Janak rose to the occasion choosing him eligible to be his son-in-law and asking Janaki her opinion. And she explained it quite well. He has understood Purusharth very well and he knows to prove his strength a man need not subjudicate a woman and she is willing to accept him as her husband.

Once Janaki told her decision no king can speak anything. Because it was swayamvar. Her decision ultimate, irrespective of the condition.

Actually Ram took Sita as his wife without completing the condition of swayamvar set by her father, but in real sense of swayamvar 😆😆. With his sweet play of words once again he shut up the tyranny of majority. He broke the physical rule, but didnt break the real rule of Swayamvar. And only Vishnu can do that. To break a rule and to ensure no one understand that something is broken. Maya, Moh Maya. Each passing day I am enjoying the Maya of Ram.

PS: Guys it is going to be a busy weekend for me. So today's analysis I will try to put tomorrow, but sometimes it will be Monday. Do bear with me

The contradiction is simple and magnificent shruti..
and thanks for explaining it-

The morons kings have treated Sita as an trophy...for them sita was a simple...trophy who has become thier maater of prestige...

and for that the can even insult sita if it was required...as after the revelation by raavana that sita was not actually janaks daughter...the moron king got en golden oppurtunity to hide thier flaws for them it was nor or less a big ticket of gaining sympathy and pride as if the king could lift the dhanush and could win..sita so that king will be famous that inspite of such a big revelation the king has so guts..so aacept an adopted girl..hyyy what a work of big glory😕 ..give me a break!!...

Moron king taken sita as an material a trophy where as...Rama treated and taken her first as a human than as women and wife and thats where the big fat contradiction lies...!!😊

another well written post di
yesterday ram proved that women is not a commodity that could be bought , sold , won and left , she is an individual and need to be respected for the same .
on the same day I was watching karna in which draupadi was delivering the same speech that she was an individual a human and not a toy to be played .
coming back so definitely that bow needed to break down to break the mentality of individuals .

Great post Shruti, yes the Kings were indeed morons, who made it an issue of their ego and prestige and forgot the essence of the swayamvar.
And so, as their egos were damaged so they hit back at Janak and Sita! But they also depicted the reality of most of our real life interactions - we too spend most of our time reacting to our perceived feelings of pain, insult, anger, etc etc.

That is why Rama is so special - what he is doing is actually very very difficult for humans to do, though he makes it look like the simplest way to act and behave!
