You obviously are new to Hindi TV serials, ain't you?

In Hindi TV, a girl has no duties towards her mom once she's married - she belongs exclusively to her sasural. That duty falls on a ghar-jamai, if there is one, in the absence of a son (who, if there, is a supporting role to the heroine).

Rather, it's the duty of the heroine to be a crying, self sacrificial lamb who does everything from cooking right down to police work herself. The supreme sacrifice would be to take on a villainous role to destroy all sympathies that all relatives have for her - which is what Pragya has done here. If she were to suddenly reveal all that to her mom, her mom would STOP hating her, in which event, how does she continue to sacrifice?

Already, by sending Aliya to jail, she's lost one of her main torturers, who made her look good by making her life a living hell. Now you want her to tell her mom the truth so that her mom wouldn't suffer so much? But how will Pragya be hated less if she took your silly suggestion? 😈
