The Katrina Kaif-Ranbir Kapoor alleged split shocked not only fans but also industry folks. While certain reports claimed that Ranbir's proximity to former lover Deepika Padukone was the reason behind the split, others revealed that is was Katrina's decision to promote her upcoming movie 'Fitoor' on a TV show hosted by ex-flame, Salman Khan that irked Ranbir, so much so that he decided to move out of their supposed 'love-nest' in Bandra. However, there's another twist to this alleged high-profile breakup. According to reports on Spotboye.com, Ranbir's alleged proximity to Alia Bhatt is what caused the reported break-up. The report claims that a highly placed source revealed that Kat felt her boyfriend's fondness for Alia went a little over the top at a party hosted by good friend Imtiaz Ali, and that Kat's insecurities grew so much so that she was allegedly hoping that her good friend, director Ayan Mukerji will drop Alia from his upcoming superhero project which stars Ranbir and Alia in lead roles. There seems to be too much speculation over the reasons for the alleged split between Ranbir and Katrina. Though at the moment the two don't seem to find it necessary to clear the air, we hope they do so to put an end to the rumours. Here's hoping the two get back together soon since they make a great pair.
