Talent-hunt on DD
Reality show Kalakaarz will be hosted by Hussain and Shraddha Nigam
Hussain Kuwajerwala and Shraddha Nigam are coming together once again. A few years back they hosted Kucch Kar Dikhana Hai, a reality show on Star Plus. Now, the duo is set to recreate the magic with yet another reality show called Kalakaarz, to be aired on Doordarshan.
Nigam confirms the news. Commenting on her upcoming assignment, she says, "I haven't begun shooting for it yet. But it will be fun, as I have hosted a show previously. I don't need to prepare myself as I have hosted a reality show previously. I am pretty spontaneous."
Prasar Bharati deputy director general, Vijaya Laxmi Chhabra, talks more about the show, "Auditions have already started in thirteen centres across the country. We have received an overwhelming response from contestants. Around a lakh and a half people have registered with us to participate in the contest. The talent hunt will be judged by veteran actor cum filmmaker Amol Palekar. The weekly show will be launched on November 13 at 9.30 pm. It will run for sixty episodes, at the end of which two winners will be declared. The winners will be offered roles by renowned film producers and will also be given roles in Doordarshan serials."
Kalakaarz will be produced by Ajay Sharma's Unit Box productions.
