It has nothing to do actually. I personally dont like women in shorts n exposing dresses but these bollywood women have themselve associated it with freedom. Something like " now I can choose to wear whatever I want , mere kuch inappropriate publicly phenne se ab kisi ke izzath ka janaza nahi niklega" but I petsonally feel associating nakedness to freedom is imature.

The shorts she is wearing says she and rk have broken up. Katrina used to avoid wearing shorts atlest in mumbai when she was with rk. Shorts even says that she is no trying to woo salman again. Or she would have worn more fuller clths in public place. This even reminds of deepika, when rk and dp brokeup. That was first time dp started to wear shorts in public with sid malya on her side. Katrina is enjoying her new single status. She is in no plans to get hitched for soon I guess.
