Why is purab so self absorbed?

While I too have appreciated a Abhi-Purab scene elaborating on Purab's loss, I do not think it means Abhi doesn't care about Purab's loss. Abhi himself is going threw ugh a lot of stuff. He doesnt even have feeedom money love anything. He didn't want Purab to feel bad by visiting MM or coming to meet him there. It is inconsiderate of Purab too to keep lying to Abhi even when he himself has lost so much. That is why I feel Purab tries to bring up BB's death everytime. If he is so much heartbroken why show off? Why can't he just grieve? Why he needs to do some drama here to fulfill BB's mission.

alu drama started few epis after bb's death,i didn't see abhi contemplating purab loss in those epis.
yes, purab is not right in keeping facts from abhi but doesn't mean abhi's behaviour towards his friend is right. Maybe he needs to concentrate on others loss a bit.
i am not sure of his tactics but his i lost my wife speech is atleast helping abhi getting out of a funk.

How much more dense can Abhi be? Purab is showing how to be committed to the person he loved when BB was around and when she's gone. He's handling himself and his priorities so responsibly. He's spelling out what Abhi should be doing for Pragya despite his grief and it's all wasted! The wrong guy/couple is getting screwed in this show!

Neha I was so confused when I saw that you were the thread maker with this title...but then I read your first post and I so agree!!! How dare Mr Khanna think his individual loss and pain matters at all??Why should he ever bring it up in conversation? How can he even care to feel it himself when it's clearly so unimportant? Likeee honestly. What a selfish fellow.

Why should Purab care about his dead wife? Who was she after all . He should bother more about his screwed up friend , who is wallowing in self pity . He is The Abhi after all.
