Despite a minor tiff, Kareena-Saif's two-month-old relationship has not run into trouble. In fact, Saif has been showering her with gifts including a solitaire diamond ring and neckpiece

Of late, Saif Ali Khan is making frequent trips to posh jewellery stores in Bandra. The actor, who is taking renewed interest in women's jewellery, has been generously gifting his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor with solitaire diamonds. A source close to Saif informs, "He usually buys jewellery from his jeweler friends in Bandra. He has a keen eye for good pieces of jewellery. He has purchased a few diamonds for Kareena worth a few lakhs very recently."

The story goes that Saif has fair knowledge about precious and semi-precious stones, thanks to sibling Saba Ali Khan, who is a talented jewellery designer. Apparently, Saif had purchased heavy white gold sets in the past only to realise that Kareena prefers the minimalist look. Ever since, he has been picking up diamonds of various shapes and sizes for his pretty girlfriend.

A source close to Kareena says, "Kareena has a very different taste when it comes to jewellery. She prefers to wear minimum jewellery. Chunky rings and heavy sets are a complete no-no. She loves solitaire rings and neckpieces."

Talking about Saif and Kareena's rock-steady relationship, the source adds, "Saif loves to gift his near and dear ones. He has bought Kareena a one karat diamond ring amongst a few other things."

A salesman from a lavish store in Bandra on condition of anonymity confirms that Saif has been looking for specific-sized diamonds rings. He says, "He told us that it's for a very special lady and he gave us the ring size also."
