Move aside Dhoni, Deepika's real knight in shining armour is none other than King IT WAS interesting to see Shah Rukh Khan take up the fight from Deepika Padukone's end when the latter was bombarded with queries regarding her 'love' for Indian cricket skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Dhoni may have shed his locks to look like John Abraham recently, but Shah Rukh Khan was still sporting one. So when Deepika was confronted with a query on whose hairstyle she loved best, she pointed out to Shah Rukh who was standing beside her. The following query was about whether she was in love with Dhoni or whether this was a publicity stunt to promote SRK's home production 'Om Shanti Om'. Though indignant, Shah Rukh preferred to handle the media well as his film is also up for release. "Films are work for us and we worship it. We will not do anything as bad as wanting to promote a film by using such stories. I am also a part of the media very much like you and we will never do anything like that to promote our film. Deepika is very new to this profession and does not know our wicked ways. So please don't ask her such questions as she will never be able to answer them. I am like you guys and know what to answer and what kind of questions to expect as well," says Khan. SRK normally does not like negative stories done about his film, but with his film's release just round the corner, he dare not take 'panga' with the media. King Khan knows to play his cards just too well.
CRICKETER MAHENDRA Singh Dhoni seems to be going places ever since he skyrocketed as Indian cricket captain and then won the Twenty20 cup for India. After the Deepika Padukone link up comes another link up for him, this time with Piggy Chops —Priyanka Chopra. Even as stories of Priyanka's alleged marriage proposal to Harman Baweja have hardly stopped doing the rounds comes this bomb of her link up with Dhoni. Priyanka when confronted with the question looked stunned as if a beamer and not a bouncer were bowled at her. "I really don't know Dhoni. I do know of him though," she says.
Priyanka is also quick to acknowledge the fact and endorse Shah Rukh Khan's views that one needs to start living with the media and the stories that are created around them. "Honestly speaking, gossip has become a part of the profession that we are in and we need to know to live with it," she says. Not long ago Priyanka had told us on how excited she was about India winning the Twenty20 cup. "The boys put up an exceptional show in spite of Dravid, Sachin and Ganguly's absence. Dhoni's captaincy was fantastic. He supported the team very well," she was heard gushing. And now this. Well there's no smoke without fire sometimes. And that fire sometimes is just a spark. Eh, Priyanka?
