Ashok - so ,do u want to spend a night with her .
What,asked a shocked Raman while tear flows from ishita's eyes hearing ashok's harsh words.
Ashok- yes if u want u can.he said ever so calmly ,like she is a piece of flesh nothing else which can easily be shared.
Raman- r u out of ur mind?she is ur wife.
Ashok- so what?she don't have any problem. Naa ishita.he said twisting her hand.
Ishita- please let me go.and for heavens sake ,stop this.I am ur wife.she said crying.her face turned red due to slaps and the pain he is giving her.
Raman couldn't take it anymore.he came closer and try to loosen his grip on her hand.
Raman- ashok stop it.u r hurting her.
Ashok- wow u r so concerned for her.then do this for her and me yaar.spend a night with her.
Raman was confused that what's going on.why he is hell bend on this.
Raman- OK.
Ishita look at him in disbelief and look away in disgust.Raman saw this and felt a prick in his heart.
Ashok- really.ishita go with him.
Ishita- no ashok.dont do this to me.I am ur wife.please please.she was crying and pleading,but her pleads were falling on deaf ears.
Ashok slapped her again.
Raman- stop doing this ashok.ishita come with me.
Ishita- don't u dare take my name.how can I expect something good from ashok's friend.u r as disgusting as him.
Raman hold her hand and took her to the bedroom.ishita was struggling to loosen his grip on her hand.but Raman was holding her hand firmly.
He took her inside the bedroom and locked it.then he leave her hand.she goes towards the table where a scissors was kept.she pick it and said- don't u dare to come near me.I will kill u.if my husband can't protect me.that doesn't mean I will let u touch me.I will kill u.
Raman was coming near her.
Ishita- I am damn serious.I will kill u.she said.her hands were shivering.
Raman was still coming close to her.
Ishita- OK I will kill myself.saying so she was about to stab herself when he ran to her and stop her from doing so.
She struggled in his arms trying to free herself but his hold was too strong.she was crying bitterly.
Raman- I am not going to do anything.trust me ishita.he said wiping her tears.
Ishita look at him,he look at her.they share an eye lock.she realised where she is.she pushed him and said- I don't believe u.if u don't want to do anything then why u tell him yes and came here.
Raman fell on bed,he got hurt with the headrest.
Raman- ahh,he winced in pain holding his head.
Ishita look at him and rushed to him.she saw blood was oozing from his wound.
Ishita went and take the first aid box.she applied cotton on his wound and said- I am sorry ,I don't want to hurt u.saying so she applied medicine to his wound and bandaged it .
Raman was looking at her.he was thinking how anyone can care for somebody's wound when she herself is so injured.she finished her work and was about to put the box back in place when he stopped her.he took a cotton and start wiping the blood around her mouth.ishita was looking at him in utter surprise. After that he applied cream on her red cheek.after that he said- now u can keep it back.
Ishita go and keep the box in place.now she understood that he is a good man.he will not do anything wrong with her.
She goes and sat on the couch.Raman was sitting on the bed.both were silent .at last she asked breaking the silence.
Ishita- why did u agree.
Raman- because I wanna know why he is behaving like this.I know him since seven years.I agree that he wasn't a very good soul.but today he was looking like a monster then a human.he was slapping u like anything.I just want to stop him.I thought this is a way to stop him.sorry I know my way is not an intelligent one.but it was a quick one.I am sorry.but please tell me why he is doing this to u.he asked concerned.
Ishita cried hearing his words.
Raman- ishita please don't cry.if u don't wanna tell I will not force u. But please stop crying.
Ishita- I am not crying for this.actually after many days I am feeling that I am a human not a commodity. All these days ashok was treating me like a commodity. Kabhi isko diya kabhi usko.aaj lag raha hai ki main bhi zinda hoon,insaan hoon.kisiko toh mujh par daya aayi.kisiko mere liye bhi bura lagaa(trying to give to anyone.today feeling that I am also human.someone felt bad for me also) she said crying bitterly.
Raman felt very bad for her.he don't want to but couldn't stop himself going near her to console her.he sit beside her and said- don't say like this.and please stop crying.he want to sooth her pain,hug her to his heart but hesitant to touch her.he was thinking what to do when she keep her head on his chest and cried.he wound his arms around her reluctantly to support her.she cried,cried and cried wetting his shirt .
He was feeling so bad for her but can't do anything other then consoling her.trying to lessen her pain.he also has tears in his eyes feeling her pain.after sometimes her cry lessen.he look at her,she was closing her eyes.like tired of crying.
Raman- ishita.
Ishita- hmm.
Raman- do u wanna say something.he wait for his answer but she didn't answer back.he thought she will not tell anything.he was about to say something when she said.
Ishita- its had been a month since our marriage.ashok was never a good man.I never want to marry him but being a rich man he convince my parents for marriage.he was too happy while I was too sad with this marriage.I can't see him as my husband but we got married.I was trying to adjust with my destiny when on our first night.he got to know that he is impotent.he was very disturbed but to be honest I was happy because I don't wanna share myself with him.but I supported him in every possible way .but he became worse from bad.he started drinking and beating me in frustration. When that was not enough he started bringing his friends to spend night with me .so that we can have a baby and nobody in the society came to know about his disability. I was ready to live with him for the whole life without any child, without any relationship. But how can I allow anyone to tarnish my dignity.is this society is more important then his own wife.u r the ninth man he asked like this.everyday a new man.I have to fight with them to save my dignity.and when they goes without fulfilling his wish,he beat me everyday cruelly.she said sobbing.
Raman- why don't u tell ur parents about him.
Ishita- tell about him to appa. But he said now I am not their responsibility anymore.I have to tackle with my problem myself.
Raman was stunned to hear this.
Raman- and ur mother.
Ishita- my amma is not alive.she died when I was five.my step mother doesn't love me so much that she will stand for me.moreover she is happy that I am living in hell.
Raman didn't understand how the poor girl is going through all this.he so want to sooth her pain but couldn't as he didn't know how to console her and make things favourable for her.he simply patted her ,she closed her eyes seeking his warmth.soon she slept feeling safe and secured in his arms.
He picked her and place her gently on the bed.cover her with a quilt and was going. But he turn back and look at her.she was sleeping like a small baby.Raman smiled at her innocence.
Then he saw her red cheek due to slaps.his blood boil .he was determine to reach ashok a lesson.he don't want to but couldn't stop himself from dropping a feathery kiss on her forehead. She smiled in her sleep and he smiled seeing her first smile .
After that he came out only to see ashok passes out after drinking heavily. He glares at him and went outside the house determined to save ishita from this mess.
