Jasmin walked onto set with a tired smile. With a bare minimum of sleep, her eyes were almost closed. Yet she didn't mind. It was a small price to pay for being such a great show. Jasmin loved playing Twinkle. She was such a beautifully written character. In such a short time Tashan-e-Ishq had gathered many followers. The thought of them brought a smile to her face. Jasmin loved the show, she loved the cast and the plotline. She'd always wanted to be an actress and she was living that dream now.
"Oye siyappa queen," the familiar voice had her smiling. Onscreen or off-screen, he was the one guy she trusted the most on set. When she'd joined the show, she'd initially been afraid that they'd pair her up with a "unfriendly" co-actor. Sidhant was the opposite. He was the definition of friendly; always making her laugh and keeping a smile on her face.
"Kya hai?" Jasmin asked, turning around with a smile. He looked like he always did; the epitome of perfection and just drop-dead gorgeous. No wonder he had such a high female fan following.
"Apni friend bol raha hoon. Uss mein kuch galat hai kya?" Sidhant asked innocently.
"Hmph," it was almost impossible to win and argument against Sidhant. Sometimes Jasmin wondered why she even tried.
"Hmph," Sidhant mocked, a small smile creeping up his face.
"Sidhant," Jasmine warned.
"Jasmin," Sidhant teased.
"Uff," Jasmin groaned. Sometimes they were worse than their characters.
"Uff," Sidhant copied. He was holding his laughter in but it was all about to spill/
"Main na," Jasmine started, "Main na tumse baat nahi karungi," and with that she walked away.
"Jasmin sorry," she could hear him laughing behind her. It almost brought a smile to her face; almost. He was teasing her was he? Well she'd teach him lesson. She wouldn't talk to Sidhant all day unless he found a ravishing way to apologize.
-----
It had been two hours since they'd started shooting and Jasmin was already tired. All through the shoot Sidhant had tried apologizing.
"Jasmin sorry."
"Oye siyappa queen maaf kar do na."
"Please maf kar do."
"Promise mein phir se nahi karunga."
"Jasmin. Twinkle. Please maaf kar do."
By the 5th attempt she'd forgiven him. Yet if he could tease her, then so could she. Jasmin wouldn't forgive him until he did something big and unforgetable.
"Jasmine kab tak mujhse naraz rahoge. Kitni bar sorry kehchuka hoon main. Ab toh maaf kardo pleeease," Sidhant whispered into her ear, as they got ready to shoot another scene. Jasmin secretly smiled but faced Sidhant with a coy look. Raising one eyebrow she took her spot on the set. Sidhant sighed to himself.
Ab toh tujhe kuch grand hi karna parega. Lekin kya? Soch Sidhant soch.Sidhant knew Jasmin. She liked big and bold gestures just like Twinkle. He hated Jasmin not talking to him. It made him feel alone. Something had to be done.
----
"Jasmin," Jasmin turned to see Zain standing there with a smile on his face. He had a note clutched in his hands.
"Voh kya hai?" Jasmin asked curiously. Zain smiled deviously.
"Khud hi dekhlo," he said coyly before taking a sit opposite her. Jasmin shrugged before stashing the note into her bad.
"Ab nahi paroge?" Zain asked, suddenly alert.
"Bad mein parlungi. Abhi parne ka man nahi hai," Jasmin said cheekily.
"Hello meri darling dosto," Jasmin suppressed a smile as Sidhant placed himself down next to her.
"Hi Sid," Zain said and then looked at Jasmin expectantly.
"Zain isse kehdo ki jaake kahi aur baithe. Main abhi bhi isse bahut naraz hun," it took all of Jasmin to not take her words back as she saw Sidhant's face fall.
"Thik hai. Mat karo mujhse baat. Mujhe bhi tumse bat nahi karni hai," Sidhant said crossing his elbows.
"Zain isse kaho ki mujhe faraq nahi parta hai agar voh mujhse bat kare ya na kare," - Jasmin.
"Zain isse kaho ki mujhe bhi koi aitraaz ki yeh mujhse na baat kare," - Sidhant
"Zain isse kaho ki jhut na bole. Isse bahut faraq parta. Bas ego thoda zyada hai, "- Jasmin
"Zain isse kaho ki mera ego pe comment karne se pehle apne ego pe kabu rakhe. Vaise " - Sidhant
"Excuse me Mr. Sidhant Gupta lekin mera koi ego nahi hai. Aur agar hai bhi na tumse toh chota hi hai, " Jasmine said, this time directly addressing Sidhant.
"Dekho ego pe tum gayi pehle, mein nahi. Toh mujh pe blame mat dalo," Sidhant said standing up.
"Tumhe sach se itna taklif kyun hai?" Jasmin asked, also standing up.
"Mujhe sach se koi taklif nahi hai? By the way jhagra tumne shuru ki hai,"Sidhant said taking a step towards her.
"Maine? Maine? Maine jhagea suru kiya hai? Aaj subah tease kisne ki?"Jasmine said, taking step forwards herself.
"Itni choti si bat ko lekar kab tak naraz rahogi meri ma? " Sidhant asked taking one more step.
"Meri marzi," Jasmine said as she took one step. They were nose to nose now.
"Hmph," both of them said together, before stomping their feet and walking away.
Zain watched the two of them leave with an amused smile.
"Mujhe kisse kya kehna tha?" he asked to the wind.
----
Jasmin was livid again. How dare he call her egoistic? She was currently pacing her dressing room while cursing Sidhant to the depths of Tartarus. Suddenly she remembered the note in her bag.
Gently she pulled it out.
Costume room me ajaao please!!
-Tumhari biggest fan.
Jasmin felt a smile erupt on her face. This biggest fan could be anyone but no doubt they'd have a beautiful set-up for her. Excitedly she scurried towards the costume room. As the door appeared in front of her, she felt her heartbeat race. Grabbing for the door handle she pulled it open. A waterfall of jasmine petals circled around her. As the blur of white faded, Jasmin got a chance to look at the room properly. It had been decorated with red and pink hearts, each saying sorry. In the middle there was table, draped in jasmine petals. She walked towards it cautiously. Right in the middle, there was picture of her but what made it special was the border. The border consisted of a picture of Sidhant, pulling his ears in a gesture of apologizing. The word sorry was inscribed underneath it..
"Sorry," a voice whispered in her ears. Jasmin twirled around to find Sidhant holding a bouget of jasmines.
"Yeh accha hai. Pehle kuch bura karo aur bhir itna sweet kuch karo ki main naraz hi na reh pau," Jasmine said, making both of them laugh. Suddenly music begun from nowhere.
"May I have this dance?"Sidhant asked, placing an outstretched hand in front of her. Jasmin smiled as Sidhant pulled her in. They danced in silence until Jasmin remembered something.
"Vaisey eh aaj subah ki liye sorry hai? Ya bhir kuch time pehle ke liye?" she asked sweetly.
"Subah ke liye off course. Kuch time pehle ke liye toh tumhe sorry kehna chahiye na," Sidhant asked as he twirled her around.
"Sidhant!"
"Jasmin!"
What happened next, well that's for me to know and you to guess. 😛
