Rating spiked with my entry in Swaragini

Nikita Sharma of Do Dill Ek Jaan who is now doing Swaragani on Colors had a long wait before after her debut Life OK show wrapped up. " I guess the break was destined for I did try for a number of projects before on Sony and Star but they did not materialize. Sometimes I did not like the character for it was not panning out the way I had wished it to be. I also signed a movie, even completed one schedule but unfortunately it too got shelved . I had a number of options but being quite choosy I did not want to do anything just for the sake of working . Also I am not game for cameos . My biggest requirement is that my character has to be performance oriented and Kavita is just what I wanted. "
Here added, "I wish to clarify that Kavita is not negative. Whatever stuff she might do is out of love for Sanskaar ( Varun Kapoor). You need to appreciate the fact that fate was not kind to her. She had been in coma for five long years due to her mother. She has just got up and is naturally not been able to digest the fact that her love interest Sanskaar has subsequently moved on. She thinks he had forcibly married Swara( (Halley Shah) and subsequently divorce also happened. She is a victim of circumstances rather then the traditional vamp who creates bad happenings."
She also has no qualms with certain fans questioning her entry ." Obviously they were used to watching the romance between one particular set on screen couple. But they need to remember the ghost of Kavita had always been here for Sanskaar had come here to take revenge only . She is just back in the flesh now. "
"All said and done I am happy that my track has created the necessary buzz, our ratings have gone up from 2.8 to 3.1 TVR. Over time I hope my character is loved and appreciated by the audience as the other characters ." ended Nikita
