Walking On a Dream
Bedroom of a beautiful penthouse, at 8.00 Am
Kunj & Twinkle were sleeping in each other's embrace. As a cool breeze blew across Kunj's face he slowly woke up & saw her sleeping peacefully beside him. With her head rested on his shoulder, keeping one hand on his chest, his angel, his love, his life, HIS Twinkle!!!! Kunj carefully took her hand, he turned towards her & gently kissed on her forehead & said in a very soft tone, "Happy birthday meri siyappa queen." Sensing Kunj's touch, Twinkle smiled in her sleep, she pulled the blanket over herself, turned to other side & again went into deep sleep. Kunj smiled at her cute gesture. He couldn't help but stare at her.
It was Twinkle's 1st b'day after their confession and last night they came back home very late after a hectic day. They were so tired that they fell asleep the instant they hit the bed so now Kunj decided to make this day special for her & got up from bed with a determined look on his face. He had planned a perfect day for her and had brought her away from home with that very aim.
At 8.30 Am
Soon the morning sun was at its full glory and the rays filling the room disturbed twinkle's sleep. She woke up & saw that Kunj was not beside her so she shouted in a sleepy tone "Ummm, Kunj? Kaha ho tum?"
Kunj shouted from outside "Twinkle utho aur jao jake fresh ho jao"
Twinkle in a same sleepy tone answered back, "kkuunnjj! Tum kya kar rahe ho? Aur waise bhi mujhe abhi aur sona hai!"
Kunj again ordered her, "Twinkle, utho jaldi warna ankhein PK jaisi badi badi ho jayengi! Aur jao fresh ho jao! Mai abhi aata hu." And then she heard the sound of Kunj giggling. She was sleepy and so couldn't think straight. But one thing she knew for sure, Kunj wouldn't let her sleep any longer so half-heartedly she got up and went towards the washroom to freshen up."
When she came out wiping her face, what she saw was like a bolt out of the blue for her. Kunj was standing in front of her with two bowls of milk & muesli! She said mischievously, " Don't tell me Kunj ,ki aaj tum bhi breakfast mei milk & muesli khanewale ho. Tumhe toh ye bilkul bhi pasand nahi hai na. Aaj kya suraj pashchim se uga hai?"
Kunj smiled & answered slightly bowing down,"Ji nahi, aaj meri eklauti wife ka b'day jo hai."
Twinkle was literally shocked, when she realised that she had almost forgotten her very own b'day! Seeing her expressions Kunj understood what she is thinking, so he teased her "Now don't tell me that you've forgotten your own b'day. Badi mehnat ki hai yaar maine. Agar pehle bata deti toh time bach jata mera."
Twinkle made a puppy face but the very next moment she realised something else. She said pretending to be angry. "Eklauti wife se kya matlab hai tumhaara Kunj Sarna? Aur kitni biwiya hai tumhaari? She twisted her nose & turned her back towards him." It was the cutest little sight. For a few seconds kunj just stood there staring at her.
By now, Kunj had kept those bowls aside & went hugged her from behind. "Oho Twinkle, maine toh mazaak kiya tha. Aur waise bhi mujhse ek nahi sambhalti. Do ya teen kaise sambhaalu? Tum ek hi kaafi ho." He turned her towards himself & found her already smiling. Seeing her smile made him smile too.
He then kissed on her forehead & said with utmost love "Happy birthday Twinkle!" Twinkle blushed & hugged him. She was feeling so safe & complete in his embrace, while he caressed her hair. She wanted the time to stop then and there. She always felt so calm when with him and it always managed to astonish her.
She broke d hug & cupped his face & with moist eyes she said "Thank you Kunj, thank you for coming into my life & making it so special. I love you." Kunj with a smile said "I love you too Twinkle."
Kunj broke the hug and continued, "Twinkle, ab tumhara ye senti session khatam ho gaya ho toh breakfast kare ! Bauhat joro ki bhook lagi hai."
Seeing his cute face Twinkle chuckled "Haa,.. haa chalo, waise bhi milk aur muesli, wo bhi khud Mr Kunj Sarna ke haath se, aur wo khud ye khayenge, aisa mauka to roz nahi aayega."
They both laughed & sat together in the balcony, eating away, talking & talking a walk down the memory lane. After so many weeks they had gotten such a peaceful time alone. Finally things were going smooth for them. They wanted to enjoy it to the fullest.
Twinkle was so happy & lost in Kunj's company that she didn't even realise that since morning no one had called her to wish her. Actually it was Kunj, who had kept both of their phones switched off, as he was planning lot of surprises for her. Unware of what the day had in store for her, twinkle kept looking at her Kunj with nothing but love in her eyes.
At 11am
They were enjoying this quality time together. Twinkle was about to ask something but she was interrupted by Kunj, " Dekho aaj ka pura plan decide ho chuka hai. You just follow what I say. Aur koi bahaana nahi chalega samjhi?"
Twinkle was surprised "But Kunj?"
Kunj said in a commanding tone "Yeh tumhaare pati parmeshwar ka order hai."
Twinkle said crossing her arms, "achha? Pati parmeshwar?"
Kunj understanding that he had unknowingly invited trouble, joined both his hands and said, " dekho ab maan bhi jao. Yaar badi hi mehnat ki hai maine." Seeing kunj like this made twinkle laugh out. She replied with a big smile on her face, "Yes sir"
Kunj smiled, "That's better, now get ready! Hame ek ghante mei nikalna hai." Twinkle was about to ask him something again when he stopped her midway and said," bola tha na ki kuch mat pucho. Just follow my orders." Twinkle shrugged of her shoulders & went to get ready.
After an hour or so they were in a car. Kunj was smiling to himself thinking of Twinkle's expressions when they'll reach their destination & Twinkle was confused yet excited as she knew that her loving hubby was an expert when it came to giving surprises. She had butterflies in her stomach. She couldn't wait to find out what he had planned for her.
After a half an hour, the car stopped & Twinkle was pleasantly surprised to find herself standing right in front of her house. Kunj had purposefully taken a different route towards her home. Both of them were greeted by nanaji & Twinkle's mom with a broad smile on their faces. They took them inside. Twinkle asked impatiently, "Hold on everyone! Ab koi mujhe batayega bhi ki ye sab ho kya raha hai?"
Babli came running and hugged Twinkle & said teasingly "Di, Ye sab toh jiju ka idea tha. Kyuki pichle kuch dino se ham sab aap se mil nahi paye the issiliye jiju ne hame pehle hi phone kar ke bata diya thi ki woh aap ko lekar aaj yahan aa rahe hai. So hum sab ne lunch ka plan banaya hai."
Twinkle had tears in her eyes. She went to Kunj & held his hands & said in an overwhelmed tone " Tum mujhe itni acchi tarah se kaise samjhte ho Kunj? Thank you so much. Iss se achha gift koi ho hi nahi sakta tha mere liye." Kunj wiped her tears away & replied "No more tears, just smile. Chal ab ja sab se mil le."
Twinkle smiled. Nanaji & leela were the happiest people that Twinkle got such a caring & loving life partner. Leela was relieved to see them both so happily in love. She felt that she had made the right choice for her twinkle.
Twinkle quickly went up to everyone and demanded for her gifts. Everyone wished her & gave her lot of gifts. Twinkle asked Kunj "Where is my gift Kunj? Sab ne gifts de diye. Tumhaara wala kaha hai? Waise maine kaha tha ki yaha laakar tumne mujhe sabse achha gift diya hai par I still want a gift Kunj." Kunj said with a naughty smile "Have some patience Siyappa queen." Leela informed everyone that lunch was ready and everyone gathered around the dining table. They feasted upon the delicious lunch made by Leela which contained all of twinkle's favourite items.
Around 4pm
Kunj & nanaji were in the living room. Nanaji held Kunj's hand & said "Thank you puttar, hamari Twinkle ka itna khayal rakhne ke liye." Kunj said with a smile "This is not fair nanaji, kya Twinkle sirf aap ki hai? Meri kuch nahi ?" He paused & then continued in assuring tone "Woh meri zindagi hai nanaji & I promise ki mai hamesha uska aise hi khayal rakhunga. Marte dam tak." Nanaji smiled, kept his hand over Kunj's head & said "Rab kare ki tum dono ka yeh pyaar hamesha aise hi bana rahe."
On the other side, in Twinkle's room, Twinkle & Leela were chit chatting with each other. Leela cupped her face & said with tears in her eyes, " Beta mai tere liye bauhat khush hu, ki tujhe itna achha life partner mila hai joh tujhe hum sab se bhi jyada pyaar karta hai. Aur aisa life partner har kisiko nahi milta hai. Issliye iss pyar ka, iss rishte ka, aur Kunj ka hamesha khayal rakhna aur hamesha uska saath dena." Twinkle hugged her mother & replied getting emotional,"Ji maa! And thank you maa joh aapne mere liye Kunj ko chuna. Woh sachi mei bauhat achha hai." Meanwhile,Kunj came inside & asked teasingly " Kya ho raha hai maa beti ke beech mei? kahi Twinkle meri burai toh nahi kar rahi hai na?"
Seeing him Leela broke the hug, quickly wiped her tears away & said with a smile "Arey na puttar, hum toh bas aise hi. Aur waise bhi uski itni himat kaha ki mere ladle ke khilaf kuch bhi kahe." They all laughed at this. After spending some more time there, twinkle and kunj took leave from there with nanaji's and leela's blessings.
The moment they sat in the car, Twinkle just hugged him from side & kissed on his cheek & whispered into his ears "Thank you kunj. Waise pehle hi hug kar leti par ghar pe chance nahi mila." Kunj smiled & said "It's not over yet Mrs. Sarna! Just wait & watch." Twinkle was so happy that she held his arm & rested her head on his shoulder as they went for a long drive.
8.00 Pm
Finally, they returned back home after a long romantic drive & the trail of surprises started again when Twinkle switched on the lights. Her eyes widened in shock when she saw that the entire living room was full of heart shaped balloons & a big cake, beautifully garnished with strawberries, which was Twinkle's favourite, was waiting for her. She moved a bit further & saw a dining table full of yummy dishes. She turned towards Kunj, who was standing at the door folding his hands and wearing his most awesome smile. Due to excitement & happiness Twinkle was not able to speak anything. Words failed to escape her throat. She just ran towards him & hugged him as tightly as she could. Kunj also hugged her back with the same passion.
After few moments they broke the hug & before Twinkle could say anything Kunj put his finger on her lips & said "Shhh kuch mat kaho." Then he held her hand & brought her to their bedroom & handed her over a box, when she opened that box she saw a beautiful dress of Light blue colour which was Kunj's favourite colour. Kunj whispered into her ears "Get ready Twinkle" & he went to make arrangements for the cake cutting.
When Twinkle came out wearing that dress, Kunj just couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was looking breathtakingly beautiful. He kept staring at her like a total fool. When she came nearer to him he blurted out, in a mesmerised tone, "beautiful." Twinkle lowered her eyes & blushed heavily at that comment. Then she cut the cake and offered a piece to Kunj. After having done with that, she impatiently asked him," kunj ab toh mera gift de do. Wait nahi ho raha."
Kunj took out a velvet box from his pocket & held in front of her & said "Sorry, tumhe itna intazar karwanne ke liye, ye raha tumhara gift." Twinkle excitedly opened the box & she was stunned. It was a diamond studded silver bracelet! She moved her hand over it & said with teary eyes, "It's beautiful! But Kunj it must be very costly. Itne expensive gift ki kya zarurat thi?" Kunj took that bracelet made her wear it & said "Now it look even more beautiful." Twinkle felt herself turn crimson.
Then Kunj switched off the lights & forwarded his hand asking politely "May i have the pleasure of dancing with such a pretty lady?" Twinkle slid her hand into his. Kunj pulled her closer & Twinkle put her hands around his neck & they started dancing. The divine moonlight through window was working as their spotlight. Twinkle was feeling so lucky & blessed to have Kunj in her life. She was lost in his eyes who were full of love for her.
Kunj was about to say something but Twinkle stopped him & said pretending to be angry, "Bas ab ek aur word nahi! Subahe se order pe order diye ja rahe ho aur mujhe kuch bolne ka mauka hi nahi de rahe ho! Ab mai bolungi aur tum sunoge" Kunj made a puppy face & Twinkle continued with smile " Koi kisi se itna pyar kaise kar sakta hai? Thank you for making this day so special. It was my most memorable birthday. Ab tum batao tumhe return gift mein kya chahiye?"
Kunj tucked her hair behind her ear & said lovingly " Kuch nahi bas tumhari ye sweet smile joh mujhe sukoon deti hai aur tumhara saath joh mujhe himmat deta hai." Twinkle looked at him with tears & smile but blushed a little. Seeing her blush Kunj asked her teasingly "Tum ne kya socha tha? Haa?" Twinkle hithim lightly on his shoulder & then they proceeded towards the dinner table.
After dinner Kunj gave her a box of her favourite chocolates. Seeing it Twinkle asked naughtily "Ho gaya ho toh ab sone chale ya abhi bhi kuch baki hai?" Kunj replied with a mischievous smile " Nahi iss saal ke liye itna kafi hai" They both burst into laughter & went to their room.
They changed & lay down on bed still hugging each other. Twinkle asked Kunj innocently "Waise tum ne ye sab arrangements kab ki?" Kunj replied" Actually maine Babli ko sab samajha diya tha. So jab hum long drive pe the tab ussne aur uske kuch dosto ne milke ye sab kiya" Twinkle replied" Toh iska credit toh Babli ko bhi jata hai" Kunj replied "Ya ofcourse, but idea toh mera hi tha na." Twinkle pinched his cheek & said "Haa baba tumhaara hi idea tha." They kept on talking like this and soon fell asleep in each other's arms. The moon shone bright in the sky as though it was smiling looking at this adorable couple.
