Hey everybody! Here's a weird story from my side.. don't drop in with much expectations as its not a super good story. Just a simple story. And sorry for that silly title. .if u hv suggestions after reading the story.. please do let me know.

Yayyy! My first OS ever.
Was it their last day together? That's what had been processing non stop in Raghav and Kalpana's mind. They were thinking of every way possible to get themselves together. But anything won't work. And they had already convinced themselves to accept whatever destiny had written for them. Because if, after their trials to be together doesn't work, it simply means that they are not the ones made for each other. It all depended on that God, who was sitting up there and taking care of us. He is the one who decides what's 'good' and what's 'best' for us. And as a matter of fact, 'best' stays, and 'good' leaves. So only the unfolding time will reveal if they are just 'good' or 'best' for each other. So here, meet them, Mr. Raghav Singhania the only heir to the Singhania Group of Companies & Ms. Kalpana Jadhav, Princess of the billionaire Mr. Vitthal Jadhav. They both were billionaires, born with a gold spoon in their mouths. They were rich but not spoilt. Their family values were beautifully embedded in them. They were unusually beautiful, internally and externally. They were so focused on their studies since childhood that their parents social status and power never mattered to them. The only aim they had in their minds were to get their parents proud of themselves. And they achieved it. They both used to live in Mumbai but had never encountered each other on the personal front as their companies were the biggest rivals in the market. They studied in different schools without ever meeting each other. Though they knew about each other since their early days as media used to give a whole lot of coverage of these two families everywhere, ranging from newspapers to TV. So these two read and saw about each other quite often. They were the respective toppers of their schools. Never ever proud of their wealth, humble and down to earth kids with a soft heart. They never fell into something known as love until they arrived at their college in New York. They were in the same batch. And both had qualified their entry tests and got the admission without any illegal donation. It was one of the most prestigious colleges in the world. And there they were, at the University of New York. They were focused on their career and studies, just like before. And when they subsequently started loving each other was a thing none of them knew. It all started just as a crush & then looks, the personality and the intelligence had them falling for each other. But they tried their best to brush away this feeling of possessiveness and care and almost everything towards each other. Until that day,
*FLASHBACK*
University's Annual Day-
Kalpi - (screaming in pain) Leave my hand for God's sake Raghav!! Leave it I say.
Raghav - (Dragging her forcefully with his nails dug into her skin) Oh really!!?? You get hurt too? But I guess you know hurting people better!
They then came up to the terrace of their University when Raghav flung Kalpi away from him.
Kalpi - (stumbling, protecting herself from a nasty fall which Raghav would have caused) What the hell are you up to Raghav? Feel like killing me?
Raghav - (roaring) No!! God damn it!! No!! I feel like killing that Augustus, Augustus Waters (Name taken from the book, Fault In Our Stars)!!
Kalpi looked on confused and shocked.
Raghav - (now softening with his extra rough tone) Yea, I want to kill him!! Just because he's been so so close to you these days!! What happened to me Kalpi?? Wasn't I your friend?? Why did you even need him?
Kalpi - (stuttering with her words) I..I..Ra..Ra..Raghav didn..didn't mea..mean to hurt you..rr..really.
Raghav - (breaking down) Really? You didn't ever mean to hurt me? Then why had you been ignoring me since days and was always found around Augustus?! And today, you crossed your limits!! I hated the way you were dancing with him..
Kalpi - But why Raghav? He's my boy..boyfri..
Before Kalpi could complete, Raghav had kissed her roughly, stopping her from saying anything further.
It was all too quick for Kalpi, so she stood motionless.
When they were breathless, Raghav rested his forehead on her's and said, in a whisper, "Don't you ever say that again an..and.. I love you. That's what I had failed to say since days, but now I have and now I don't care a damn about anybody you be in a bloody relationship with. We are done. Good Bye."
Raghav broke away from her and without even making an eye contact, he turned to leave, crying slowly, when he heard a soft voice from behind.
Kalpi - Don't you wanna wait for my answer? Or okay, you really don't care about me anymore? Seriously Raghav?
Raghav - Yes I don't care about you, and I know what your answer will be so there's no point in waiting. (his back still facing her)
Kalpi - Oh.. Mr. All Knowing, then you must be even knowing what will happen the next moment? Hun? (She asked with slight naughtiness in her voice)
Raghav turned slowly totally confused. And the moment he turned fully, Kalpi ran with all her strength and getting onto her tip-toes she kissed him madly and possessively. This time Raghav was utterly shocked and didn't know how to respond and chose to let her do instead. After a few seconds, Kalpi stopped and said, "I love you too Silly." while staring at his wet lips. Raghav couldn't wait further and kissed her himself this time, and this one was responded by both, savouring each other fully.
Now, they were standing pressed to each other, with Kalpi's arms in his neck and his hands on her waist, looking straight into each other's eyes.
Raghav - Augus..?
Kalpi kept her finger on his lips.
Kalpi - Ssshhh..!
Raghav - But I want to know.
Kalpi - Okay then, look, It was approximately seven weeks back that I realized my growing love for you that had been forever there since I saw you in this college. I literally didn't want to accept this love or tell you because I feared that you would even break the friendship between us if you didn't feel just the way I did. And Augustus, he's one of my best friend Raghav, just like you, caring and reliable but not THAT handsome though! (Raghav gave a smirk at this) I told him about you and my feelings and my fear. So he asked, what help could he do in that. I asked him to be my boyfriend so that you stay away from me. He resisted a lot but at last he agreed half-hearted. He always insisted me to convey my feelings to you as Augustus always had this gut feeling that you loved me whenever he saw you staring at me with pain and at him with jealousy. But I would never believe him. Stupid I was. And the drama went on with me distancing and ignoring you and Augustus being my boyfriend in front of the college. Then the Annual Day came and it was me who forced Augustus to dance and I am really sorry about that. By the way, who's that Hazel, (Name taken from the book, Fault In Our Stars) you keep hanging out with? Hun? (She asked while raising one of her eyebrows)
Raghav - (smirked) Oh, she? (He asked messing his hair with his hand)
Kalpi - Yes she! (Pouting)
Raghav - Same story Kalpi! Jealousy and all. I kept her as a fake girlfriend to make you jealous and she's nothing more than a best friend Kalpi. She helped me a lot.
Kalpi - Good. By the way, I let you in a secret, Hazel & Augustus love each other and are really serious about their relationship.
Raghav - Really? Wow. That's great news. It seems like we'll be swapping partners to turn our fake relationships into real ones! Haha..
They both laughed at this together.
Kalpi- Very well.
They laughed until they heard a voice from the gate of the terrace.
"*sighs* Thank God!! Everything's well between you both now. Now please spare us!?" said Hazel in a relieved yet pleading tone.
"True Hazel, we want some 'we' time now! And you both, please please for God's sake leave hold on us!" pleaded Augustus.
Raghav & Kalpi chuckled.
Raghav- Of course, you both are free now.. & we are extremely sorry for all the inconvenience we caused you.. sorry!
He said so while sliding his one hand in his pocket & the other went encircling Kalpi's shoulders, who was standing beside him.
Kalpi- Raghav is right. We are extremely sorry for that stupidness of ours. And thanks for being such good friends to us..
Kalpi & Raghav smiled.
Later, the boys & the girls hugged each other. (i.e. Raghav & Augustus, Kalpi & Hazel).
The day ended with Raghav & Kalpana returning to their respective homes (they lived alone while their parents were settled in Mumbai itself).
It was just 2 weeks later that their college life would come to an end.
They were happy about it, but somewhere they were not ready to go back, because they feared they may lose each other.
*FLASHBACK ENDS*
It was evening & tomorrow was the day Raghav & Kalpi would return to Mumbai.
They were at mountain top, while they stared down at the gorgeous city. They were leaning on the front of the car, fingers entwined & Kalpi's head on his shoulders while Raghav lay his head on hers.
They were discussing what they would tell their parents about each other & when.
"I don't want to go Kalpi. Please don't leave me." Raghav mumbles while pulling in Kalpana closer.
"Even I don't want to leave ya.. but that's for good no? We'll tell our Mumma & Papa about our relationship & get married really soon! Don't worry." She said with a smile.
"As if, Mom & Dad r gonna readily agree! They r RIVALS in business!!!!! Why don't u understand that simple thing! They'll eat our head out if they know about us!!!" Raghav said with annoyance lingering in his voice. He continued, "We'll hv to play safe with them.. slow & steady wins the race!"
Kalpi glanced at him with a loving gaze and said, "I understand Raghav.. I really do. We'll play safe, okay now? I believe in u my Rags! Things will eventually fall in place, just believe in God!" She pecked Raghav's nose and snaked her arms in his neck while he encircled her waist.
"Yes, I believe in God Kalps! He is our only saviour now.. hope we get married soon my Love!" He said while kissing her cheek.
They hugged each other close & warm for a few minutes, then they left for their homes in Raghav's car.
The sun shined, marking the arrival of new day..
Raghav & Kalpi were busy getting ready & packing their things up. They both were quite messy at it, to be honest.
It was 9am, and both were sitting together at the airport's sitting area, all nervous.
"I was not this nervous even when I had to sky dive!! God knows what's happening to me." Raghav said while tapping his feet non stop.
"Same here, I was not this even nervous when I kissed u the first time!" A blushing Kalpi said.
Raghav looked at her chuckling as Kalpi tried hiding cherry like cheeks.
"U r so adorable."
Kalpi looked up with a blushing smile.
They heard the announcement of their flight & went on board.
After they had seated themselves quietly, they passed a look at each other, giving a warm & comforting smile to the other.
They were indeed in the same flight but sadly not beside each other. Raghav was sitting adjacent Kalpana, but in a different row. Her's was a window seat & his was a aisle one.
They kept glancing each other time to time just to confirm that their loved one was there with them.
The flight landed in Mumbai at 4pm the next day. (Time difference between the cities!)
They got off the plane & went to collect their baggage.
After collecting it, Raghav took her to a lone corner & without a warning kissed her gently, pouring in his doubts, nervousness & fears. Kalpana didn't resist & rested her one hand on his neck while her thumb caressed his jawline & her other hand caressed the back of Raghav's head. Raghav had his one hand on her waist & with the other he cupped her cheek. Their tongues moved together, savouring each other fully. When Kalpana sensed Raghav getting rough, her hands automatically tugged his hair a little. Raghav moaned again her lips while Kalpi smiled.
After breaking the kiss, Raghav wiped his face with the help of his shoulder and wiped Kalpi's mouth with his thumb.
"Good Bye then." Raghav said with glassy eyes.
A tear left Raghav's eye, unknown to him.
Kalpana immediately kissed that away.
"Hey, don't cry.. you are my strength Raghav. And please, I don't want to be ur weakness. Make me ur strength!" She said consoling him, looking deep into his eyes.
"Okay, Ms. Strength! I won't.." He promised, kissing her forehead.
"Good Bye." She said.
"We'll be back soon."
"For sure. Good Bye." He said.
And both of them left separately, so that no one sees them together & start putting up things about them.
They sat in their respective cars & drove off to their homes.
Both of them had a emotional welcome in the house as their moms hugged & kissed them repeatedly while the fathers looked on happily. The families were overjoyed having their kids back to them.
The day passed with Kalpana & Raghav enjoying the pleasures of a family while they missed each other horribly.
At night, they video chatted to each other & fell asleep with him or her on their mind & their dreams.
It was morning again. The birds chirped waking up Kalpi. Whereas Raghav got up irritated with the sun light entering his room.
It was a peaceful morning, until..
At the dining table, 8am (Jadhavs):-
"Morning Baba!" Kalpi said hugging Vitthal from behind as he read the newspaper, waiting for her.
"Good Morning Princess!" Vitthal exclaimed, tapping her cheeks gently.
She smiled & took her seat.
Kamla arrived with food and settled down on the table with them, while the servants served them.
Midway the breakfast,
Vitthal said, "I need to do some important talk with you beta." While he glanced Kamla nervously, who gave him a weak smile but also assured him with her eyes.
"What is it Baba? You look tensed." Kalpana said softly as she kept her hand on her father's.
Vitthal gave a nervous smile and continued with a shaky voice, "Oh, it's nothing beta. We just wanted you to meet a boy we have selected for u, for ur marriage. Will u?"
"What?" Kalpana muttered heart broken as she withdrew her hand from her father's as fast as she could. Vitthal was sad thinking he had upset his daughter.
"He's a nice boy, beta. He's amazing. Once u meet him, ull like him too.. please meet him once. For ur Aai & Baba?" Kamla tried explaining.
Kalpi stood up.
"No, I won't! ! I just won't! ! I am not ready for it yet!! Moreover, I want to set up a career Baba!! I don't want to become a mere housewife! ! Please try & understand this!!" Kalpi almost shouted, as a fear of losing Raghav lingered in her mind. She feared it, a way too much to think beyond.
"We r not telling u to marry him Princess, just meet him once.. we'll respect ur decision if u don't like him. And if u by chance like him, then we'll just do the Roka and let u both decide when u both plan to get married. We r not forcing u beta, please try understanding us too.. just once, please?" Vitthal said with hope in his eyes.
While Kamla looked on at the father-daughter duo. Kalpi had kept shaking her head in a no involuntary, all the time. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she passed a last glance at her parents and left for her room, running.
"I broke her heart. I broke my Princess' heart. " Vitthal said dropping on his chair while holding his forehead regretfully, at the verge of breaking down.
"No my dear, no. Ur Princess will understand, she's not stupid after all she's ur Princess." Kamla consoled Vitthal while rubbing his back.
Kalpi entered her room & closed it with a thud, bolting it. She slowly slipped down against the door, breaking into sobs.
She was afraid, afraid to lose her Raghav.
She just couldn't imagine her life without him, so living without him was a different chapter of its own.
She cried until she slowly fell into slumber on the floor.
Vitthal had left for work with a regretful face. Kamla had decided not to disturb Kalpi, giving her ample time to understand & rethink.
Meanwhile..
At Singhanias (9am) in the living area :-
The breakfast was done.
Raghav was cheerfully going through the day's newspaper when a voice drifted to his ears.
"Me & ur Mom need to talk to u Raghav. It's something important." Harivansh said.
"Yes of course Dad. Please." Raghav said with a smile, but a bit confused.
"I'll take it to the point Raghav, its about ur marriage son." His Dad said.
"We just want u to meet a girl." Gauri continued.
Raghav jumped up with a angry face.
"What? No!!" He yelled.
"But she's a beautiful & intelligent girl Raghav. .please beta, meet her once! Ull not regret it." Gauri said with a warm gaze.
"No means no Mom! I am in no mood for marriage & stuff.. I mean, look at me.. how young am I! I don't even hv a career!" He said bitterly.
"U hv the whole of Singhania Group of Companies to urself! What more do u want?" Raghav's Dad reasoned him.
Raghav chuckled with a annoyed tone & left from their.
He went up to his room, stomping his feet all the way up.
He was enraged! At a bad level. It was not anger to be honest, it was insecurities related with his & Kalpi's relationship. And what may come, he wasn't ready to lose her. He bolted the door & sat on his bed, shattering the glass vase on the floor that once lay on his bedside table with a rough sway of his hands.
Anger took a toll on him, but it was soon replaced by sadness, fear & insecurities. He dropped a tear or two and lay flat on his back. He took out his phone from his pocket, and stared at its wallpaper lovingly.. it was Kalpana's photo. One, which was clicked by him secretly, unknown to Kalpana. He smiled a bit & after placing his phone on his heart, he fell asleep slowly.
Here, Harivansh had asked Gauri to make Raghav meet the girl in any way possible. Make him agree at any cost & himself left for an important meeting. Gauri had accepted her husband's words & decided to talk to Raghav, later that day because he must be dangerous to deal with right now.
After a while Kalpana had woke up, & the first thing that ran across her mind was that she to inform Raghav about the happenings. On the other hand, Raghav had just woke up to & was going through his & Kalpi's pictures in his phone's gallery to calm his pacing heart. He thought to call her up after a while, so that she doesn't notice the uneasiness in his voice, which he currently carried. He needed a little bit more of self time to analyse & work out things. Moreover, he didn't even want to spoil her day with this piece of news, but little did he know, her day was already spoiled to its worst.
His phone ringed, he read the caller's id "Kalpi" He mumbled & picked up in the first ring itself, sensing it was something really important otherwise she wouldn't hv called him at this hour.
"Hello." Raghav said.
Kalpana lost a tear or two hearing his voice.
"Hello Raghav." She said as normal as she could sound.
"Hey? What happened? Why r u crying?" He said with a worried tone.
Kalpana gasped, thinking how did he get to know that she was crying. Maybe, that's what we call love.
She cried even more, thinking how much he cared & she just wasn't ready to lose him.
"Ra.. Raghav,.. Baba.. said" She couldn't say more, she broke down.
"What happened to Dad? Ok, listen.. I m picking u up from ur home, right away.. get ready." He said, sensing that she needed him bad.
"No don't come here. Aai will doubt. Meet me at the cafe near my house." Kalpana mumbled.
"Okay, take care. M coming." Raghav said & cut the call.
Kalpi washed her face & after taking her sling, she left in her car.
She reached and took a seat in the cafe and ordered one strawberry smoothie & one orange juice. Strawberry smoothie was something Raghav loved.
She knew he would take time to arrive as his home was far away from this cafe. She sighed at this fact.
She was halfway through the juice when Raghav finally arrived.
"Hey." He said huskily, giving a quick peck on Kalpi's ear from back.
"Hey." She replied, smiling from her eyes & lips.
"Oh wow! Strawberry smoothie!! Thank u." He thanked her giving her a warm smile.
She too smiled in response.
After taking a sip of his smoothie, Raghav said, "Now would u please tell me that why did u shed ur precious pearls?" He pouted after asking.
Kalpi chuckled seeing his pout, "Ya don't do that! U look embarrassing!"
"Okay, I won't. Answer me Kalpi."
"Uh, okay. So..."
Kalpi told him each and every happening of the morning. While Raghav listened on seriously.
"So that's what happened." She said, sighing heavily.
"Really? Same pinch then." He said, a bit lost.
"Why so?" She enquired.
"Um. . Because my Mom & Dad said the same thing. They want me to see a girl."
"What?!! God!! I don't wanna get married to somebody else other than u Raghav!"
"I know, I know sweetheart. . So, we'll tell our parents about us tomorrow!"
She looked on with shocked eyes.
"H.h.. how? Will they accept?" She asked with fear lingering in her beautiful eyes.
"Yes, they will. They would hv too." Raghav said smirking at his plan.
"Promise Raghav?"
"Pakka waala."
They both smiled & after hugging each other, left for their homes.
Another day passed.
Next morning, Raghav & Kalpana left their homes early in the morning, without informing their family.
They met and decided what to speak, how & when.
They revised their dialogues with each other.
Kalpana had to meet the boy at 10 am.
At 9 am, after searching the whole house, a worried Kamla called Kalpi.
"Haan Aai. Bol."
"Where r u beta? We'll be having the boy's family within a hour."
"Yes I understand Aai. I'll come soon. Actually, my friend Raghavi met with an accident Aai. So I am with her. "
"Oh.. so sad. By the way, who's Raghavi beta? I never heard her name before. Do u want me to come over?"
"Oh no Aai, no need. We hv her family here. And Raghavi. .she's my new friend Aai. U don't know about her. I'll tell u about her later. Okay Bye. I'll come soon. Don't worry."
And without waiting for a response, Kalpi cut the call.
"Who was Raghavi?" Raghav asked from behind.
Kalpana turned slowly & met his dark gaze.
"Oh so bad! U don't know about ur female version Raghav? Who's name is Raghavi? Hun?" She winked and kept her arms on his shoulders, looking into his eyes naughtily.
Raghav pulled Kalpana against him & whispered, "Then u also must be knowing about ur male version 'Kalpit' ".
Kalpi glare at him with her doe shaped eyes.
"U told ur Mom that u r out with Kalpit? "
"And u told ur Aai that u r out with Raghavi?"
They both burst into laughter at the silly names they had made up and then sat in Raghav's car.
They chatted away the whole time.
Raghav had switched off his phone while Kalpana had numerous calls from her Aai & Baba.
She glanced the time on her watch, it was 10am.
"Time to go." Kalpana said and Raghav nodded, starting the car's engine.
Gauri was all worried and kept on calling Raghav to know about his whereabouts but all in vain as his mobile was switched off. She had called each and every friend of his but no one knew about him. When Harivansh asked about Raghav, she lied that he would return soon as he told her on the phone because she knew how angry would Harivansh get on knowing about his son's careless attitude. She was guilty though.
The car screeched to a halt in front of the 'Jadhav Mansion'.
Kalpi gulped hard & passed a nervous gaze at Raghav.
He gave a weak smile and squeezed her hand a little comforting her.
"Don't worry. Everything will be fine. Trust God." He said.
Kalpana nodded & smiled.
They got off the car.
Raghav came & stood beside Kalpana.
Their fingers entwined.
Passing a glance at each other and then moving towards their destination slowly with baited breaths.
They were going to press the door bell when Raghav noticed the door open.
"Strange." Kalpana muttered & moved inside with Raghav.
She found her Aai settling the cushions on the sofa, alone. She didn't find anybody else in the room.
Without looking up, Kamla said, "Tu aa gayi beta? I was waiting for u on--" her words were left incomplete when she glanced Kalpana with a boy.
"Kalpi, ye sab kya hai be--"
"Aai, this is RAGHAV, RAGHAV SINGHANIA. And.. and, I LOVE HIM A LOT. We both just can't live without each other. We met in the college & fell in love. Please Aai, I don't want to marry someone else because I LOVE ONLY HIM & ever would. Please Aai.. accept us."
She said without a break ultimately breaking into tears. Her tears bit her cheeks as she spoke the truth, the whole truth.
Raghav immediately wiped tears away & holding her from her shoulders said, "Please Mom, please accept us. We r sorry we kept this truth from u all. Because we feared that our families will tear us apart, which can't let happen at all. Our families never had a good relationship because of the business rivalry. Which was the reason behind our fear. I LOVE HER A LOT, I just CAN'T IMAGINE MY LIFE WITHOUT HER. SHE'S MY EVERYTHING. I PROMISE TO KEEP HER AS MY QUEEN. Please don't say no our alliance." He said out aloud as his eyes brimmed with tears, ready to cascade down.
Kalpi looked up at him & hugged him tightly.
"Seems like our Son is bitten by the love bug Gauri, that too badly." He chuckled at his words as Harivansh made his way down the stairs with a smiling Gauri & Vitthal.
"Not only ur Son Harivansh, my Daughter too.." Vitthal mocked.
"Just look at them, how adorable they look together Kamla ji.." Gauri said going over too Kamla.
"Yes Gauri ji, they r beautiful together." Kamla replied.
Raghav & Kalpi looked on with shocked & confused faces, they just couldn't believe what they saw.
Were their families actually together? That too so happily?
"Mom & Dad, u both r here? How come?"
"And Aai where's the boy's family u wanted me to meet?" Raghav & Kalpana asked together.
"My dear, we r the boy's family." Gauri said walking over to Harivansh. While Harivansh, gave a smile and continued, "And my child, there stands the boy. Right beside u."
"Him?" Kalpana asked pointing her finger towards Raghav, confirming once again.
"Yes." Harivansh said in a calm tone.
The parents saw their children jump with happiness at this news, their tears invisible as they hugged each other as if claiming their right on the other. Raghav & Kalpana were on top of the world knowing that their parents had chosen what they had chosen for themselves. But a question was still left unanswered to them..
"Okay, now u both must be thinking that how did we get so close? It's like, how did the biggest rivals get so close? Hai na?" Vitthal asked.
Raghav & Kalpana nodded together, awaiting the answer.
"Well, it was two years back, when u both were in New York. .completing ur studies. An important project came to the country, and all the country's leading companies were fighting to take the deal, so did we, the Singhania's & the Jadhav's . It was a project which would make u crores in a jiffy. .so nobody wanted to lose it u know. One day, I got a call from the dealers, & do u know what did they say? They asked me to join hands with the Singhania Group of Companies, and take the deal. A tough choice no? Ego or money? A similar call was made to Mr. Harivansh. We had tensed up days, deciding what to do as we were given a week's time, after which some other major company would be handed over the project. We both didn't want to lose it too. So, we met on the 6th day and discussed things out, agreeing to the coalition of the companies for this project. We bagged the project & became one of the most successful business families. We not only earned profits, but also great respect & friendship from each other. And when did we become such great friends, is still a mystery. Moreover nowadays, our companies collaborate with each other on almost every project. Then one day, when we were discussing about our kids. . We knew that u both were studying in the same college. And when did our talks reached till the marriage thing, we didn't know ourselves. So now, the conclusion is, that the Singhania's & the Jadhav's r inseparable & u both r getting married soon." Vitthal completed.
Raghav & Kalpana who were listening on intently. .loved the whole story. But, the last line further more.
