both were immensely loved

had brilliant performance by a lead

and both dealt with dependent women who were in a shell and how they explored themselves and emerged stronger

i find both of these similar in genre and theme

which of these did you like more?

Loved both, but I instantly connected more to EV. I think coz it's so common these days for kids to be condescending to their parents just because they aren't as tech savy, cool, or fluent in a certain language as they are.

English Vinglish because of Sri. I am biased for that woman, she is a GODDESS on screen.

I couldn't really get into EV. I felt it was too boring.

I liked queen though. It was a well made movie.

Both the movies actually but voted for Queen. heart break is common these days and Queen very sweetly taught how could you be happy even without that stupid guy by your side. Loved it.

English Vinglish by a country mile..It is possibly one of the best films to come out in recent times..And how fabulous was Sri Devi? Kangana may be a great actress but Sri Devi in that film sorta showed why she is still better than most ppl in the industry as far as acting is concerned..Better direction, better acting and of course these two-

This is possibly the most underrated semi love story to come out of Bollywood 😆 They had so much chemistry its insane cos they din as much as touch each other 😆

Sri is a fabulous dancer..But notice how well she underplayed that aspect and danced like how a normal house wife would at a family function..That right there sets her apart from most actors in Bollywood..

English Vinglish was beautiful. A journey of a woman exploring her own horizons and making friends was great. Plus, the speech at the end of the movie was 👍🏼 I cried so hard. Khushi ke aansu! 😭

It's like a Sophie's choice moment for me to pick the best of the two. Both fabulous movies with marvelous leads. I admire them both and they did full justice to show the state of women at two different stages in life.

I liked Queen a tad bit more. I did come out of theatre rooting both for Rani and Shashi.

I'm still mad at the award ceremonies 😡for giving a royal ignore to the best performance by an actress that year. Sri for EV.
