So, there must be something wrong going on. These are the questions that are equivalent to understanding the working of universe .. we are not that evolved yet to figure out such stuff. 🤣

The only thing I can think of is even though she has been in the industry for 8-9 years now, but she hasn't done too many films. So, not every producer has yet lost their money on her. Hence, some bakras still offer her roles.

Sonam did well in Saawariya and Delhi-6...From then on it was quite a downhill though!

However, comparing Abhishek with Sonam is really unfair...Abhishek is a good actor with bad script choices and lazy upkeep...If he decides to give it all it takes, he can do wonders...How can you discount his stellar performances in Yuva,Bunty aur Bubly and Guru? And not to forget his debut performance in Refugee...

what has she achieved? Nothing really. I don't care about her fashionista tag. But I do feel after her the actresses in bollywood started caring about their appearances a lot more. All of a sudden being a style icon, a true style icon is important.
I don't like Sonam as an actress but I admire her for doing different and interesting movies. Sure the movies don't turn out too well and her acting doesn't do the movies any favor but still they are unique movies. Many of her movies are women centric. They are about her. Even if you are Anil Kapoor's daughter and some things come easy to her, I have to give her credit for that. And as someone already mentioned, she is not the first star child in bollywood. The list of failed star kids is probably longer than the ones who made it.
