Should the directors who fail to deliver w/ SRK be considered the worst of the lot??

Consider the resources they have at their disposal:

1.SRK the megastar...(Even his stinkers where directors f@#k up make 350 Cr+ WW...(CE & HNY (& maybe DW)case in point)

2.A list Star cast: SRk almost always manages to rope in an A list actress for the project

3. Strong production Values: Even his Dog$H!#s such as Ra.One & HNY had VERY stong production values, budget no bar

4.No interference: We hardly hear interference stories from SRK's directors (neither sr. nor jr.) although they all maintain that he is extremely hardworking & energetic

5.Global P/F & Robust Promotions: His movies get released in the remotest of places & get tremendous buzz & are heavily promoted

Inspite of all these leverages, directors such as farah, rohit & Anubhav Sinha never managed to even make a passable movie!!

So how bad they must really be??

& how bad is SRK in judging talent when he could have backed a lot of indie directors & made GREAt movies, he choses these LOSERS to back them hence keeps hurting his BRAND value !!!

PS: it's damn hard to remain a fan of this guy...he keeps testing ur faith towards him!!!

It must be tough days for a lotta SRK fans!!!😡

SRK thinks it's easy to cash on Masala movies that's y he was obsessed with Farhan Rohit till nw
But some wr he realized content n Gd script is necessary that's y he did raees

Hope he stops crap movies n focus on movies like swades, CDI type movie rather than crap hny like

i watch it 5 times in theatre with my children because nowaday who make such pretty movies with extreme sanskar in them?i wanted my children to see movies like movies i used to watch when i used to watch movies
after watching ratan prem my chilren touch my feet even before going to washroom for susu
when they go to washroom for potty i make sure i make them taste curd and sugar

i only wear lehengas at home now and when my husband come i change into little black dress

Agree!!!

But what p!$$@s me the most is that inspite of EVERYONE saying it, this guy doesn't seem to learn...

Imagine if he hadn't pushed 4 DW, He could have released Raees on Christmas...& then SLB would have had a fight on his hands...!!!

But this guy just wants to prove that he is smarter than the rest...Even if that means digging his own grave!!!

So true .. if a director can't deliver a good film inspite of the maximum publicity and a-list actors one can get, then they obviously are the worst of the lot.

But honestly it's not that SRK just chooses these directors for their talent. He chooses them because SRK just wants to break records and show that his films can make more money. And good that it hasn't worked in his favor. I sure hope it doesn't works in anyone's favor. Even a masala film has to have some fun and good in it for people to get entertained. A crap film should not work just because it belongs to a popular genre.

Well...taking your comment on face value ...I sure as hell hope so...

Anyway SRK has signed movies w/ Almost all good directors working in the IND... MS, RD,GS,ALR,IA so almost everyone worth his/her salt will be working with him next...Even if half of these movies hit their mark, SRk is safe for another decade...BUT that doesn't absolve the directors who effed up all their movies in these years!!!

All these directors he has worked recently have their own brands. Not necessary when two big brands merge, the product has to be great. If two big forces join, they can make a bigger force if both are in same direction, cancel out each other if they are opposite. RS has his own audience who love comedy and action, SRK's fans love romance. KKKG was typical Sharukh-Kajol romance. CE was mainly RS type of movie, where Sharukh surrendered his lover boy image.

In DW, both forces collided. SRK-Kajol fans came dissatisfied, as there was not enough romance. Whatever was shown, it was too fast. But for RS fans, film was too slow 😆. (RS himself admitted in his IV. The film had to be "stretched", because it had to "accommodate" SRK-Kajol romance).

As I said before, DW experience was like eating ice cream in a roadside chat shop. It did not satisfy both audience. DW is an answer to Bernard Shaw's fear about a hypothetical child from a beautiful dancer. "What if the child inherited my beauty and your brain?".
