Each year brings with it new changes and methods to make this world a better place. There have been so many new developments that sometimes it's hard to keep up with them. The year 2015 has been one such year. In the blink of an eye, the year has passed us and here we are, waiting for the arrival of the new year. But the past year did had it's moments which left impact. Women and their toll had a role to play there as well.



Women Empowerment! We've heard so many debates and discussions about this topic. There are people who agree with it, there are some who don't and there are some who agree to disagree. Women empowerment is just not about empowering women and making them look better in the society. That's the misconception. Empowerment truly means to bring forward what is right and is in need of acknowledgment. And if it happens to be women, let's go for it!


For the first time in the history of Saudi Arabia, the women gained the right to vote in the national election which goes on to show the wrongs are needed to be reformed and make a differenceto the nation with the unity of gender. Women have been seen as the weaker gender since decades and have been put down by the stereotypical society.
Watching a tennis game on TV for enjoyment is amazing, but what is even more amazing is to see a female tennis star shooting through the tennis court with such effortlessness that puts many a male athletes to shame. Sania Mirza proved yet again that that being a woman is no excuse to not pursue your dreams. The tennis star was awarded with one of the most prestigious award of sports; Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award! Kudos to you, lady!
A music sensational Adele, rose to fame after giving back to back successful albums. Often the target of body-shamers for her "overweight", she rose above it all and gave the critics a cold shoulder. The year 2015, Adele's latest release "Hello" received a huge success, further establishing her stand amidst the critics and the society. She's the real role-model, and we love her!
The unknown warrior queen Syeda Ghulam Fatima came to light, fighting for the rights of bonded laborers in Pakistan, being on the battlefield even when her own life has been threatened time again, bearing her wounds like stars of her achievement. Her determination became the awe of many and her story raised almost $2 million to help her cause.
2015 didn't end without the next generation taking center stage. The epic moments when the femme fatale feminist, Emma Watson voiced her opinions to her and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai getting together to present a strong picture of female empowerment is fresh and will go as a bright light into the unknown of the coming year.


We have come a long way from affliction and injustice done upon the women and we have yet to go very far. From Hilary Clinton running a second time for the Presidency in 2016, to Amal Clooney fighting her way through courts for justice, we have a lot to look forward to in the coming year.
These are only few of the names of the women who have made a difference in the society in 2015, and we also acknowledge every single woman out there, striving herself to success.

With the new year coming, here is what you should know, that women have endured and thrived through grim and dirt and we resolve that this way of contentment will end henceforth.Womanhood will be championed as woman would deem proper, with no pompous of expectations and no promises of righteous forever. Accept that women are humans with needs and faults and that is what life is, fighting to achieve it all.
