Riya was being such a hypocrite person...she herself has done everything when she was in love...it was Shivam who restrained everything, else she wudve even molested Shivam...such a perv she was after marriage, that she ruined all the house work just doing eye-sex with Shivam...
and now she is scolding Preeti as if she herself was a saint...giving ultimatums, showing attitude as if Preeti is in love with Riya's boyfriend...what a rubbish female lead she is...

and than slapping a grown up sister-in-law...most horrible pathetic thing done by a pathetic person

Simply put, Preeti is an immature, insecure girl who needs Nimmi to hold her hand. It's always the quiet ones like her who are up to mischief and hide stuff from others. She doesn't really think things through and when Riya gave her an ultimatum to tell the truth to the family within 24 hours she felt cornered and is lashing out at her. She is petrified for her family to know about her relationship with Mohit. Yet for a moment she never considers how she plans on marrying the man without her family knowing about it. Nimmi the nitwit, aids her with her lies and cover-ups. She is the next generation Shanti Devi in training, she plays from the same rule book as her grandmother.

Maybe Riya has a point, Mohit may bail on Preeti bec' his family wouldn't approve of his choice if he wants to get back in good terms with them. Could it be she ends up marrying Vyom after all and Pari will be after her husband?

Let's not even talk about Pari...her name doesn't fit her personality of an alley cat. 🤔

whatever preeti n nimmi doing, this love life saga will affect only Preeti and her life the most...Riya didnt need to act as bossy Shanti look a like and give ultimatums...and the slap was the worst thing to do...had she just explained things to preeti nicely, preeti wud have never back-answered her...but she showed her attitude...forgetting what all she did, in her love story...

she preaches so much bt not lying, didnt she lie about some JAi person to make Shivam jealous...she even got a bouquet delivered to her name, supposedly sent by this Jai...so everything is fair, if she is doing it, but others cant...right ?

she even lied to Sarla bt the medical camp thing, but that is ok, cause she did that to get the evil sarla's truth out...but with preeti she was very wrong, and she invited the rude things what preeti said to her...i wish kaushalya had scolded her some more for trying to slap a grown up preeti

There is a huge difference between Riya's activities to get Shivam jealous (they were harmless really) and what Preeti and Mohit have been up to. Mohit moved into the Srivastav home as Chunnilal. Preeti not only kept quiet about it but was secretly meeting him in their home at night while the family slept.
Riya raising her hand at Preeti was a faux pas on CVs part goes against her character sketch. Riya did not cross boundaries when they wanted to marry Shivam that questioned the character of the family or it's members.

Preeti can't argue she didn't have time to let family know. Why didn't she tell her mother that she loves so much that she was in love with Mohit? Preeti asked Mohit to ask for her hand in marriage, so when he moved into the house, she should have come clean to Shivam or Cowsalya, the two people she trusts. Instead she calls Nimmi who eggs her further into her silly behavior🤪. Preeti was always one bulb shy of a dozen, immature in her choices.

Living under Shanti Devi's rule these young girls of today were not given an opportunity to see the real world. They act like little kittens on a hot tin roof around their Dadi, lying and hiding what's going on. Cowsalya who was trained at a young age to be Shanti's puppet didn't know any better either. She believed letting Shanti rule will keep peace in the family. The girls got the short end of the stick.

When someone enters the family and shows them the real world it is bound to cause resistance. How will Preeti and Nimmi cope when they do marry into families that don't live like the Srivastavs? They fear to speak their minds, when they do they get scolded that they are forced to lie and hide.

Riya didn't have a problem with Preeti/Mohit romance, she had a problem with Mohit's lies and moving into the house. She has a valid point. Mohit was lying and Preeti was playing along. Preeti had snuck around at night to meet Mohit both outside and inside their home. In a small town that is frowned upon and it's the girl's character that is questioned. Preeti was blindly falling into Mohit's plans whether his intentions were right or not is yet to be seen. Immature and naive girls often get trapped into a so called romance by sweet talking guys who snare the girls with professions of love and these girls lack self-esteem and the worldly knowledge to understand when they are being targeted the victim.

Preeti has managed to cause public embarrassment for Raghav, though she didn't realize her trip to the radio station would cause a huge commotion. The girls acts then thinks and is sneaky in her ways.

Cowsalya has to take some responsibility for her behavior, she has raised girls who lack self-esteem and are insecure and immature.

Btw, why do Indian serials promote getting a girl married at very young age (sometimes at 18 and 20) whether they are ready or not? These girls are shown being immature and marriage is no child's play. I guess they do that to create the drama factor but socially it sends a terrible marriage to marry a girl off whether she is ready for the responsibilities or not.😳

Riya could have informed her husband. She made one effort and kept quiet. He was there with her afterwards. She thought she can handle the situation single handedly. By giving ultimatum to them and by not allowing them to talk, she made nervous Preeti to run to the radio station and blurt out.

there are ten thousand faults in preeti, nimmi kaushalya...even the panditji that visits them...but all that doesnt absolve riya of the high-handedness with which she behaved...

one would think she wud be the only person to understand, cause she had to beg on the wedding day, to marry shivam as she loved him only...she also also has a fair idea of how strict dadi is, and how raghav is her yes-man...so instead of understanding their situations n the hurdles they are facing, she chose to behave in a stern way, like a parent...

there were loads of other ways, without pressurizing preeti...she cudve told mohit to leave asap...and come back with his parents to propose wedding...she cudve told them that lets talk to raghav n he will understand n accept...

its her attitude that drove preeti to the radio station...

and what boundary's were they crossing...if u ask my POV, what Riya did was much worse...cause she didnt need to...she wasnt facing any big hurdle in her love story...to behave like that...lying to ur love, making him jealous without reason, isnt right...she even visited his house on the pretext of selling washing powder...as for mohit n preeti, they know dadi isnt gonna accept mohit...mostly cause dadi cant see preeti n nimmi happy...and since his parents arent with him, there are less chances of raghav accepting him...so all they wanted was to impress dadi so that she can make raghav accept him...was it so difficult for her to understand ?

so the rights n wrongs in this is very relative...but yes, riya's behavior varys a lot...she is always polite in-front of rani, sarla, amit...even when they are abusing her own family...but with preeti n nimmi, she gets this extra attitude n rudeness...always cursing nimmi n now attempting to slap preeti...
