Money Matters!

Considering the pots of money corporate houses have lost on big-budgeted movies in the recent past, they have join forces and arrived at a unanimous decision. If news circulating in the film industry is to be believed, they have decided that if the leading man of a film holds any rights pertaining to the movie (satellite, music, overseas rights etc), no corporate house will have anything to do with the film. In other words, they will not touch a film whose rights have been given or sold, with a bargepole. When they deal with or buy a film, they are going to make sure all the rights to the film vest with them. Hmmm.

PS: Salman, Ajay have the satellite rights of their films

SRK, Aamir usually take territory rights

Ooo. Good decision. I think satellite rights are one of the safer means of claiming profit, on which these actors lay their hands.

But Salman has the satellite rights..lets not forget PRDP's poor performance. If producers lose a part of their income why will they go for a film?

I think its a good decision..At the end of the day, they are the ones who are investing money in the film..And music rights, satellite rights etc. are safe means of earning money..So these actors will block all the safe ways and let the PH take all the risk? How unfair 😆

And SRK anyway has his own PH know..And they have started distributing too so why will it affect him (apart from the limited number of films he does for other ppl of course 😆)?

But don't these people acquire these rights instead of taking fees? Then if they are directly paid the money, the budget will shoot up, won't it?

I thought they get paid a certain amount plus also get these rights and/ or profit sharing? II don know..I guess Salman has the satellite rights for his films thats why he doesn't get paid for his films..NC said something on those lines..Am not sure 😆

Yes Salman's fee is the satellite rights. But he publicizes that he is working for free.

Yes it won't effect him much unless he starts doing films for other PH apart from RCE and YRF.
