NO ITS NOT!!! Its a frame to frame, dilogue to dilogue, scene to scene copy of manichitrathazhu. Chandramukhi was nothing but a stupid spoof of manichitrathazhu!!...and before you ask me if I've watched the movie yes I watched it in all the languages and I've watched the former one nearly 10 times and still cant get over it!!! And bhool bhulaiya is way better than chandramukhi. It not as good as manichitrathazhu but its certainly nothing like chandramukhi. OKay?

It is frame to frame remake of Malayalam superhit Manichitrathazhu. Priyadarshan has acknowledged that. Chandramukhi was copy of Manichitrathazhu and didn't even acknowledge it so they were sued and did out of court settlement.
