Hey everyone! Am back again with the next update! First of all I want to apologize for how late I was last time. And I hope I made it up with the romantic update last time and a longer update this time! Another really important thing I want to mention is that I want to end this FF soon. As much as I want to continue writing updates for COL, I think it is almost at the point where I am dragging the same things over and over again. So I will try to wrap this FF up soon! And now here is the next update...
The first thing she wanted to do as she felt something happen inside of her, she wanted him to be right next to her and live this moment with her. Her excitement of this experience only grew twice as much as before when he was next to her showing his excitement and happiness of these small moments. Cherishing this memory, she closed her eyes loosening her body in his arms...
After staying in their hug for a few moments, he patted her head softly and then looked at her to find her eyes closed. His lips curved into a smile seeing the happiness in her face and the excitement she had just shown moments back. This was what he had really missed in the past few days. But now as she wouldn't let go of him and continued to keep her eyes shut, he quietly whispered to her...
"Ishita, did you fall asleep again?" She opened her eyes and looked up at him to find him close to laughing at her and she playfully smacked his arm as she sat up straight.
"Raman!"
"What? All I'm saying is get up now so I can get dressed and you should also change. Don't you want to meet Ruhi now?"
"That's what I was going to do anyways." She exclaimed and got up walking away to the bathroom leaving him to laugh happily at her adorable behaviour. He almost felt like he was explaining things to a child when talking to her at times, but he enjoyed it nonetheless...
Then remembering what he had told her, he got up, quickly put on his clothes and went out to see his daughter wondering how she slept without him or Ishita. He wasn't surprised to see his mom trying to handle a cranky Ruhi when he walked into the living room. Seeing him, both of them seem relieved as Santosh handed Ruhi to him while his daughter leapt into his arms without waiting another moment.
"Like father, like daughter! She is just like you were as a child!"
"I wasn't like this! She's like you; full on dramebaaz!" He exclaimed as he served himself breakfast and placed Ruhi in his lap.
"Not at all! Anyways leave all this, where is Ishita and more importantly how is she now? You came late last night, is everything alright?"
"She's back here now and getting ready. And she's much better now." He began to eat himself and feed Ruhi while his mother sat down across from him.
"Hmmm, I called to ask yesterday, but she was sleeping." He choked on his juice and began to cough remembering what happened at his in-laws while Ruhi and Santosh looked at him confused. As he calmed down, he tried to act normal and got serious...
"Yea, she was tired and had some weakness too. So please don't let her do anything at all today. This isn't the first time this has happened, so I don't want to happen again. And if she doesn't listen, then just bring out your evil mother-in-law form."
"Idiot! I am a very nice mother-in-law, alright?" His mother scolded him much to the enjoyment of his daughter who clapped her hands seeing her dad's face.
"Absolutely, don't say anything to my Mummyji!" Ishita came from their room giving Santosh a hug while Raman looked on astonished.
"Your Mummyji?! Great! That's why it is wise to not mess with your mother and wife!" He claimed dramatically and in the same moment, Ruhi who was excited to see her mother back, waved her hands frantically at her accidently hit Raman's face.
"And your daughter!" He said with a sigh while everyone laughed at his expense as Ishita took Ruhi from him placing a kiss on her cheek.
"And you still want one more!" She laughed at him as she sat down with Ruhi on her lap while he pretended to ignore her remark and continued to eat.
"My baby! Did you miss Mumma?" Ishita cuddled Ruhi closer to herself kissing her head while Ruhi reciprocated the same love to her by staying close to her.
"Not at all. She did a lot of masti with Papa instead!" Raman exclaimed.
"Haw Ruhi! That's not fair, whenever Papa comes you forget about me." Ishita animatedly talked to Ruhi getting a whimper from Ruhi and a sad face. Both her parents realized they were going to be a lot of trouble if they didn't stop the crying before it started. So Raman quickly got up and walked over to Ruhi...
"Stop making my baby cry Ishita."
"I didn't make her cry, you started it." And they began to argue like children keeping their eyes on Ruhi watching her slowly smile again and laugh at her parent's argument. Seeing her cheer up, they both kiss her cheeks making her squeal even louder than before and attempt to say something that was impossible to comprehend. However they seemed delighted at the fact that she was so excited and jumping in Ishita's lap.
But then, her tears returned when he got ready to leave again. He found it to be the worst part of his day when he would force her hand off his shirt and leave, but then he didn't have to worry too much because Ishita was there. She was there to take care of his precious belongings; herself and their kids. Kissing them both goodbye, he was stopped by Ishita who quickly reminded him of her checkup appointment asking if he could make it and apologizing for not telling him earlier. Promising to come home early, he left home much happier than he had been yesterday...
~~~~~
Later that evening, he sighed as he stepped out of his car looking at his briefcase stuffed with project files and a presentation that was due tomorrow. He held his head wondering how long it would take him to complete everything and decided he would have to stay up late once again to finish off his work. But a smile appeared on his face thinking what sight would welcome him back home and why he had come home earlier today.
However he was unaware of the pair of eyes that watched him from afar. Ishita had been waiting for him to come home and was out on the balcony when she saw him drive into their driveway. Excited she wanted to call out to him when she saw he wasn't as happy as he could be. Even from the far distance she could see the turmoil on his face and when he looked towards his pile of work, she understood he had a lot on his hands and not enough time in his day. Then as he walked to the door, she noticed his slow walk and slumped shoulders expressing his fatigue.
She quickly checked the time and knowing they could spare a few minutes before they had to leave, she rushed to the kitchen to attempt to make him feel a bit better. She started to make him tea and thought of what she could do to make things easier for him when she heard the front door open...
"Hello!" He put on a cheery smile and greet her while immediately rushing to his daughter taking her into his arms and turning back to Ishita.
"Hey! How's work?" She smiled back at the duo watching how excited the two got whenever they were together.
"Good, but what are you doing?" He asked noticing her in the kitchen as he sat down on the couch loosening his tie.
"Just making you some chai."
"Leave that and sit down. I told you no work today."
"It's a 10 minute thing. And I have been resting all day, so I will do this." She told him sternly leaving him no choice, but to do watch her work away in the kitchen.
In a few minutes, she handed him a mug of steaming hot chai and took Ruhi from him as she sat down on the seat adjacent to him. He sipped on the chai and closed his eyes leaning back on the couch. She felt her stomach churn seeing his tired state, so placing Ruhi on her play rug, she sat next to Raman. Softly caressing his forehead, she ran her slender fingers through his hair smoothing the lines on his forehead. He slowly opened his eyes, gave her a smile and sat up straight as he continued to drink his tea...
"Raman I was thinking I should go to the checkup alone."
"Why?!" He looked at her confused and surprised.
"I mean Mummyji is not home, so we have to take Ruhi with us, and there she will only bother you. So maybe you should stay at home and watch her while I go." She made an excuse.
"It's okay I don't mind watching her. Anyways I want to go. I need to talk to your doctor as well."
"But you look tired, you need some rest." She hinted at what the matter was.
"I'll get some when we come back. Don't worry about me."
"Why shouldn't I? Look at yourself, you're exhausted and you have a huge pile of things to get done. And I know you won't say anything and stay up later to do everything, but I don't like it."
"So that's the matter. Ishita, I'm fine and I will manage everything." He tried to reassure her while she simply put her head on his shoulder and wrapped her arms around his stomach...
"I don't want you to not take care of yourself properly while taking care of us." She sadly told him her concern over his well-being if he was going to continue being the way he was now.
"Ishita, are you okay?" He asked softly to which she only nodded positively.
"Don't worry too much. I'm okay and I've done this my entire life, I am used to a hectic schedule. It's my normal routine baba." He assured her he would be fine while he tried to hide how overwhelmed at her concern for him over such matters.
Every person he had met till now only told him to work, to earn, then to work harder and earn more. She was the first person who asked him to spend time with his family, to take care of himself and not to stress. He hugged her tightly once more as he shut his eyes thanking God for giving him a wife like her before he parted away from their hug...
"Now I'll just quickly freshen up and we'll go for your appointment." He got up to change.
"Only on the condition that I'll drive while you work. I don't want you working past midnight anymore. I need my teddy to hug when I sleep."
"But driving isn't good for you. What's the need to drive, especially when I can?"
"I'll be fine. It's my normal routine, you know." She took his words and told them back to her surprising him and letting him know she was in a stubborn mood, so there was no changing her mind at this point. So he left to change into his casuals with a tiny smile lingering on his face...
~~~~~
She drove them to the clinic while he worked on his presentation constantly keeping a check on her and seeing if she was okay while driving. She smiled knowing his attention was divided into all different things like her, his work, Ruhi, what her appointment would be like and probably numerous other things. She shook her head understanding that was one thing she could never change about him. Instead she was brought out of her thoughts when he sternly asked her to slow down and be more alert. She listened to him and focussed on her driving while hoping he would do the same for his work...
Soon they were seated in the waiting area of the clinic and he was once again a busy man. But this time he was doing what he loved most, being there for his wife and daughter. Ishita rested her head on his shoulder and shut her eyes for a bit while Ruhi was on his lap resting herself on his chest playing with his shirt again. He kept one arm around each of them adoring what he was being blessed with in the commotion of the place. His reverie was broken as he heard Ishita's name being called out. Gently shaking her shoulder, he got her up and they all walked inside...
Her checkup went great and she was happy to find him working on some emails when she returned from the examination room. He pulled out the chair for her to sit as they began to talk to her doctor. She held Ruhi and listened while he talked to her doctor about her falling sick often. After they spend a bit of time talking in detail about her health, they left after he was assured she and the baby were absolutely fine...
On their way back home, she continued to drive and told him about how she felt the baby's slight movements throughout the day. He listened to her with undivided attention for a change as his only focus was to be able to live the experience through her words. His enthusiasm grew as she told him that the doctor said the baby would start to kick in about a month or so. All throughout the ride, they continued to talk about the baby as he told her he had gotten his design for the children's nursery and she kept on telling him that she was really feeling the changes in her nowadays.
However there was one person in the car not enjoying how a baby was getting more attention than her, and it was their Ruhi. She got really grumpy by the time they reached their home and the couple realized the same when they tried to get Ruhi out of the car and she was not happy like she had been before. Seeing her cranky mood, they spent their entire evening with her.
Ruhi sat in the center of the bed and Ishita was busy playing with her while Raman was working, but still talking to the two of them. Later Ishita fed her a snack as Raman took a small break from his work to be with his daughter. Soon it was time for dinner which Raman wanted to skip, but was forced to eat by Ishita. They decided to eat in their room as Santosh wanted the same tired from her own day. Their small family ate together as Ishita was busy feeding Ruhi while Raman was eating himself and feeding his wife.
Finally their princess had forgiven them as she fell asleep in Ishita's arms instantaneously once Ishita began to hum to her. Raman watched the sight from his chair remembering Ishita and Ruhi's first meeting and the same sight in front of him. Only the difference was he had cried then wishing for Ruhi to have a mother who would do this for her, and now he smiled since this was an everyday scenario...
An hour later, she closed her novel and checked the time. Seeing 10pm on the clock, she looked over at him. He yawned as he removed his glasses reaching over for some water. She got up and walked to him stroking his hair once again. Bending over as he looked up, she pecked his forehead...
"Come on, go to sleep now. It's getting late."
"I'm almost done. Just another half hour."
"Promise?"
"Pakka! Not like you will sleep by then."
"I won't, I'll only sleep when you come to the bed. So now it's up to you how much rest I get." She smiled and went back to bed. He knew she meant her words and quickly wrapped up whatever work he could before he shut off the few lights he had on and got into bed at exactly at the time he promised he would.
She had her eyes shut and looked as if she was sleeping, so he quickly kissed her, Ruhi, and the baby goodnight. Then removing his glasses, he lay down in bed and shut his eyes placing one hand over her head and over Ruhi making Ishita smile faintly before she finally decided to sleep...
~~~~~
The next morning she woke up to find him about to leave. She thought she had overslept, but when she checked the time to see 6:45am, she questioned him on why he was up so early.
"I have a meeting at 7:30. So I need to leave now."
"You should have told me last night. Your breakfast and tiffin is not ready yet." She sat in the bed.
"Don't worry I'll eat out."
"No, that's not good for you. I'll make something really quickly." She got out of the bed only to have him hold her shoulders stopping her.
"I don't have time Ishita. And you need sleep."
"I like doing this for you. And you don't even have 15 minutes?"
"Okay, but I'll help you too." He helped her up as she agreed and they both headed out quietly to prepare food for him.
The next 20 minutes was quiet yet chaotic in the kitchen. Considerate of his sleeping mother and their sleeping daughter, they tried to make as little noise as possible, but she couldn't help but burst out laughing as he got flour all over his cheeks trying to help her. And he accidently dropped an empty bowl while admiring her wholehearted laughter as she was laughing so hard that she held her stomach with one hand and the wall with the other. She tried to scold him with her eyes, but she couldn't hold back her laughter for a long time.
He couldn't help but approach her with the intention of throwing flour on her, but before he even started his romance they were in for a reality check of the time when his phone rang. Looking at time, he realized he had to leave, so they rushed in the next 5 minutes to finish off what they had started. Luckily in the end, they were able to make him a breakfast to eat in the car and a lunch that was decent and edible, she thought as she threw out the rotis he burnt.
As she was cleaning up the mess they had made together, Santosh came outside rubbing her eyes to see Ishita working in the kitchen. She walked over to the oblivious Ishita and seeing the calm smile on her face, knew that something sure had happened this morning between her and Raman.
She shook Ishita gently and brought her out of her thoughts. Embarrassed to see her mother-in-law so suddenly while she was in his thought with a goofy grin, she excused herself to her room where she got a call from her Amma. She had called to invite all of them over for dinner that same evening and to ask about how Raman was doing.
The thought of that night made her turn pink, but as her mother talked about the dinner, her thoughts were diverted and she began to chat away with her Amma until Ruhi woke up. As they both got ready for their day, Ishita called up Raman to inform him of the dinner they were invited to, but he didn't pick up. Assuming he was busy with his meeting, she left a text and went out with Ruhi for her breakfast...
At the dining table, she told Santosh about her Amma's call who agreed for the dinner right away. She soon got on the phone with Madhavi asking if she needed help and began to talk about other things as well. Meanwhile Ishita checked her phone to see if he had replied and surely he had...
"When do we have to go?"
"8. Will you be able to make it?"
"Yep, I'll be home at 7. Be ready."
"Do you have a lot of work to do? You can skip, they all think you have a cold anyways.😆"
"Who gave me that cold?😉"
"😳"
"I still have the bruise that my wild madrasan gave me.😉"
"So you got your revenge that night itself.😳"
"How?!😲"
"Do you really not know why I am wearing a full sleeve kurti?😳"
"And what about the nails marks on my neck? Do you realize how hard they are to cover?! Poor me, such a wild wife!😭"
"Raman! Chee! So shameless!😡"
"You started it with the talk about my cold!😆😉"
"Stop it, go concentrate on your work be home on time!"
"Bye!" She put away her phone when it buzzed again. Picking it up, she smiled reading...
"Blue saree hanging next my suit plz."
~~~~~
Putting a sparkly pink flower clip in Ruhi's hair, she stepped back and looked at her daughter. She was ready in her pink dress and black leggings. Ishita got out her jacket and put it on as she called out to Raman asking if he was ready. When she didn't get an answer, she walked out of the bathroom with Ruhi to find him all ready waiting for them.
She stopped in her tracks seeing him clean shaven and in the new blue shirt with grey suit she had ordered for him while he was in no better state than her. When she stepped out in the sky blue saree draped around her curved figure and shoulder length curls, he was stumped in his stop and couldn't stop staring at her through the mirror. The simplicity of the saree with a thin silver border defied her and the sight of her blushing as she noticed his gaze made him want to pull her closer and be with her leaving the dinner.
He turned around and walked to her, taking his daughter into his arms. Kissing her forehead, he pinched her cheeks getting her attention...
"My girls look so beautiful today! Just breath-taking" He told her and looked at his wife as he said the last bit making Ishita move away to the vanity before she turned more crimson than she already was. He quickly went outside and handed Ruhi to his mother asking them to get into the car while he and Ishita would join them in 2 minutes. Smiling cheekily at her son, Santosh told him to take his time leaving him ruffling his hair in embarrassment...
He went back to their room and locked the door getting Ishita's attention. She dropped the lipstick she was applying and looked at him through the mirror. He went up to her and hugged her from behind resting his chin on her shoulder.
"You're all set to kill me?"
"Raman..." She stretched his name in the shy tone he loved most.
"What Raman? I didn't know I was setting myself up for this when I asked you to wear this."
"We're getting late." She tried to wriggle out of his grip.
"We will be late if you ruin my romance." He moved her bouncy curls to one side.
"This looks better." He exclaimed as he ran his hands across her back fiddling with the dori of her saree.
"No Raman, it took so long to get ready." She pouted faking anger making him peck her cheek.
"I'm not doing anything, I'm just helping." He picked up a diamond pendant she had placed in front of her. He placed the cold diamond on her neckline and wen to hook on the necklace. Coming closer, he closed the hook with his mouth as she closed her eyes feeling his warm breath on her cold bare neck. Enjoying the effect he had on her, he picked up her stud and began to put them through her piercings.
As he brought his face closer to hers, she rubbed her cheeks against his inhaling the scent of his strong aftershave while he enjoyed her fragrance of jasmine that took over his senses. Losing their control, they were pulled closer to each other. Kissing each other's face, their lips slowly met pulling them into another passionate kiss. Their kiss was interrupted by yet another phone call of his, which she found to be the perfect moment to leave the room and head outside since they would never make it to the dinner if they didn't stop now...
~~~~~
They arrived at the Iyer house in time, thanks to the phone call from his office, and were warmly greeted by Mihika. However all their faces fell as they saw Mihir sitting in the living room talking to her father. As they removed their shoes and greeted everyone, Ishita held Raman's hand making him look at her. He gave her a faint smile while she apologized with her eyes. He shook his head asking her to smile and told her this was going to be a usual thing from now on. Happy Raman would be able to handle his anger and handle seeing Mihir, she pressed his hand with a wide smile on her face.
The rest of the evening went by in a flash as there were numerous conversations to be a part of all evening, and the person who enjoyed the most was Ruhi. Getting pampered by her aunt, uncle, and grandparents the infant had the best time much to the happiness of Ishita and Raman who saw the excitement on everyone's face as they were with Ruhi. Standing in the corner away from the excitement, Ishita held his head leaning on him as she looked at her family's happiness...
"Raman, everyone's so happy. It seems like everything is just falling into place now."
"You're right, it's not perfect but it's lovely." She knew he referred to Mihir.
"Do you think everyone will love this baby as much as they love Ruhi?" She caressed her bump while he placed his hand on top of hers.
"Why not? Who has any reason not to?"
"Mihir..." She voiced out a new born fear realizing not everyone was like Raman and his mother.
"You know, I'm sure he realizes you're pregnant by now. And surprisingly he hasn't said anything about it. So even if he doesn't like this baby, it seems like he won't dislike him or her either."
"You actually said one good thing about him!" She looked up at him surprised.
"I don't hate him Ishita. He isn't a bad person, but I'm just hurt by everything he's done. "
"I love you for this." She caressed his cheek.
"For what?"
"You can't seem to hate anyone. You can be angry, but not hateful." She quickly pecked his lips which was caught by Mihika as she called out to them.
"Come on love birds, let's eat dinner." The two parted their hands and walked over to their family. Raman took Ruhi from Mihika as he told her...
"Says the girl who was cuddling her boyfriend using my daughter as an excuse."
"Jiju!" Mihir and Mihika looked at him shocked while Ishita and the elders tried to hide their laughter.
"Mihika!" He mimicked her voice before everyone headed to the dining table for dinner as they laughed at the banter of the two.
Dinner was loud as everyone had their own conversations going on again as they ate. However the room went silent when Madhvi and Santosh talked about Mihir and Mihika's marriage.
"Marriage?!" Mihika choked on the water she was drinking making Raman laugh and Ishita glare at him.
"Who said anything about getting married?!" She asked her Amma.
"Well you should soon!"
"Soon, but not now and please don't talk about it for at least 3-4 years. I'm too young for marriage now."
"Really?! I thought you were Ishita's older sister!" Raman teased her making the table laugh while Mihika stuck out her tongue like a child and then seriously addressed everyone.
"I'm telling everyone right now. I don't want to get married yet. I have my career, my college, and a social life I want to enjoy before settling down. And I think the same goes for Mihir. We will happily tell all of you when we are ready to get married. Then you all can do all the grand things you want to, but not now. No one talk to me about getting married before I am 26!" She announced to everyone to which everyone at the table agreed to eventually.
But something about what Mihika said made Raman's thoughts wonder away from the table as he looked at Ishita and her life till now. She was only 24, his wife and now almost a mother to 2. He wondered whether she had dreams and ambitions like Mihika that she gave up on because of her pregnancy and now this marriage which meant mothering Ruhi as well...
He was in those same thoughts all throughout the evening which Ishita noticed as well. She noticed how he was thinking about something and keeping quiet the entire evening and even as they drove back home. Finally they were in the 4 corners of their room and they had both changed, put Ruhi to sleep, and were ready to go to bed themselves, she asked him what was wrong...
"Raman is everything alright? You seemed so lost after we had dinner. Are you feeling okay?" She came closer to him.
"I'm fine..." He pulled her into a side hug still in his own world.
"Something is going on in your mind, what is it? Something serious?" She cupped his face with one hand and made him face her. He was looking into her eyes and knew he could lie. So he simply asked her the question that had been bothering him all evening...
"Ishita...do you feel like you have something missing in your life?"
"Like?"
"I mean before your pregnancy, you were in college and a job, which was better than your current one. You probably have dreams...of you know careers, education, friends and all that. Do you ever want all that back? Like remember you were talking about how you didn't want to do business, instead you wanted to be an interior designer? Don't you still have that dream?"
"Why are you asking so suddenly?"
"Because when Mihika talked about marriage today, I realized you aren't much older than her. You probably had ambitions before you found out you were pregnant and then married me. Did our marriage and the kids take that away from you?"
"Not at all. First of all Raman you can't compare Mihika's situation with mine. She didn't end up pregnant with a man who didn't care. Once that happened, I knew my life had changed and it would never be the same. I still do wish I could go party with my friends, still want to go down the career path I was passionate about. But there is a difference between my dreams and my reality. I can't go party with my friends since I am not in the condition to, I have myself, you, and two kids who need me more than anything. And who knows, maybe one day I can go back to school and get that degree I wanted."
She paused for a moment and looked around the room at Ruhi sleeping in her crib before she continued.
"But as of now I have different priorities than my friends because they don't have to worry about whether their child back home has slept or whether their husband has eaten. And school isn't what I want right now. I chose to keep my baby and get into this relationship because I want to see Ruhi and our baby grow up. I knew what I was doing and how I was changing my own life. Maybe once they grow up, I will want to focus on myself and my career."
"Then what about now? Can't you have a life beyond me and our kids? I do, I go out to business parties and have my social circle. You're always at home, I don't want that."
"I can. I just need people who can connect with me right now and who can clearly understand me."
"You mean other pregnant women?" He tried to joke, but she was serious at the moment.
"Actually yes. You know all those classes people offer; parenting, birthing, and yoga classes. I'm sure all the people there are somewhat similar to me sine they will understand my mood swings, nausea and cravings. All the things that would disgust my friends from college and even you to some extent."
"Okay, you realize that ice cream was just-" He tried to defend himself.
"I know it was! But it's not my fault." She pouted at him.
"I know, I was just kidding. Now enough talking and go to sleep." He smiled at her relieved as the questions in his mind were finally answered. He covered her with the duvet and they both lay down to sleep when she looked at him.
"But seriously Raman, this relationship is one of the best things that has happened to me. So never think that I would rather have my old life than this. I love living with you, raising a family with you and every single thing that has come or will come with our marriage." Saying so, she kissed his forehead and hugged him tightly as she fell asleep...
~~~~~
The next 2 months went the same way. Life was going smoothly as Raman and Ishita came closer than before. She made sure he was not overexerting himself with work, while he was always ready to pamper her and take extra care of her. He found himself spending more time with her and Ruhi when he decided to take Saturdays off as well and she got some time alone & new friends when Mihika and Raman made her join a yoga class on those very mornings he had off and afternoons Mihika would watch Ruhi.
Mihika and Mihir began to often visit Ruhi and Ishita when Raman wasn't home knowing Mihir's presence was tolerated, but not welcomed by him. However even Raman himself couldn't deny the fact that he was happy to see Mihir and Ruhi having a bond of their own.
And though not saying it aloud, both Ishita and Raman were happy to have Mihika and Mihika in the form of someone to call when they needed Ruhi to be taken care. Especially when they wanted to go out and spend time alone. Though those days were rare where they could go out for a movie or dinner, they were always a delight whoever they came around.
However one thing that was getting on Raman's nerves now was the fact that though he could spend more time with his wife, they weren't getting as intimate as before. Some days she didn't want to be doing anything, but sleep and others she was too tired to do anything. Now as she was 26 weeks into her pregnancy, she had completely put a stop to any intimacy further than making out and cuddling each other's bare bodies in bed. As much as he understood her, he longed for the baby's arrival with much anticipation knowing his wild and passionate romantic nights with his wife would return once the baby arrived.
These two months were also a ton of progress when it came to the arrival of the baby. Raman would spend a huge part of his weekends off to lock himself in the spare room to work on the nursery he wanted to make for his children. They also took time out occasionally shopping for the baby. Now they had a double stroller for their kids, more toys and clothes as well as a new crib replaced the old one they used for Ruhi.
The baby preparation wasn't the lone thing progresses in these 2 months. Ruhi was also growing pretty fast. She had begun to start moving her arms and legs much more making Raman worried for Ishita when Ruhi was in her lap, but realizing his daughter's rough nature was for everyone except her mother, he seemed much more relieved at the thought. But their relief wouldn't last long as Ruhi had seemed to become a picky child when it came to her food choices and the toys she would play with. She would try to talk in her own language when she wanted to say something and that gibberish she spoke got loud when she wasn't given what she wanted. With a much more demanding and more vocal child, Raman and Ishita had to be much more alert and on their feet while handling Ruhi, especially Raman when there were days Ishita was in a bad mood or resting, having Ruhi screech and scream was the last thing that was needed.
