Kareena's Hat-kar Films open 2 weeks ahead of SRK's Hat- Kar Films

After much deliberation R Balki has locked in on April 1 as the release date for his quirky marital drama Ki And Ka about a working woman and her house husband. This would be the first of Kareena Kapoor's two offbeat roles in 2016, the other being Abhishek Choubey. Udta Punjabi which opens on 17 June, 2016.

Interestingly both of Kareena's hat-kar films open two weeks ahead of Shah Rukh Khan's hat-kar film in 2016.

While Shah Rukh's Fan, which sees him go for complete image re-vamp, will open two weeks after Kareena's Ki And Ka, his Raees, which marks another image makeover for Shah Rukh, will open two weeks after Kareena's Udta Punjabi.

Says a source close to the development, "2016 will be the year of reckoning for both Kareena and Shah Rukh. With Balki announcing the date for Kareena's Ki And Ka just two weeks ahead of Shah Rukh's Fan, their fate in offbeat films is likely to be decided within the same month."
