Gautam wants to be like Suniel 4 Oct 2007, 0000 hrs IST,TNN While most young actors say they'd like to be Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan someday, Gautam Rode says he wants his life and career to be like that of Suniel Shetty. "Amitabh Bachchan and SRK are great actors, but I like the way Suniel Shetty has handled his work. He's doing so many things at one time. He's a sincere actor, he has his own production company, other businesses and he's even the brand ambassador for hockey," says Gautam, who'd acted in the movie Anarth a few years ago with Suniel. Gautam became a household name with his show Lucky, which ended recently. "It was quite a hit among kids and I'm really glad about that," he says. The actor has just returned from Goa, where he was shooting for an upcoming TV show. He's had a blast in Goa, but the popular tourist spot's 'afternoon shutdown' has left him stumped. Says Gautam, "One afternoon I decided, with a couple of friends, to eat out. We set out hunting for a good restaurant and couldn't find a single place because everything was shut. Finally we had to have idlis at a place and that too at 5 pm. I didn't know Goa totally shuts down in the afternoon," he recounts. ********** Gautam's new passion 18 Oct 2007, 1456 hrs IST,TNN Gau tam Rode's got a new passion — hunting for a good pair of sunglasses. In fact untill now, Gautam would avoid wearing shades because he used to wear lenses. Now the actor has just gone through an eye procedure and he no more need to wear his lenses. "I'm hunting for all kinds of trendy shades these days," he tells us excitedly. ***** Gosh I didn't know he wore lenses! Haha come to think of it though, that shouldn't stop him from wearing shades right? 😕

and wow he is shooting for his new show in Goa that is just great, I can't wait to watch it, I hope it's not a sabtv show, we don't have sabtv, I think most of the people don't have it
well, I didn't know they shutdown resturants in Goa in the afternoon, are they crazy 😆 idli I wonder how idli taste, but I don't like south indian food, and that too, when he is from delhi... I don't think he would have liked it, poor guy... 😆 what about you Manu, have you ever tasted it 😃

Yeahh i was quite puzzled by the shades thing, i mean if he's wearing contacts then he should be able to wear any shades! lol.. eye surgery is freaky 🤢 i wouldn't dare hehe.. safer to live with contacts!
i wonder what this new show is.. an why it had to be shot in goa.. but it'll be nice to see gautam on screen again (= haha you're still better than me lol, i only have zee, sony and star plus 😛 i bet i'll end up watching online again like for paraya dhan ;P
Lol Im from delhi too but i dont mind south indian food haha.. i like idli! have u tried it? its very nice! its a small little white flattish ball, and u dip it in sambar and coconut chutney, yumyum, ok now im like drooling lol.. but my fav south indian food would have to be masala dosa 😆

I have tasted masala dosa, yeah, it's good, no I've never tried idli though😃
