The Joker. What a character. I loved everything about him. Little details here and there that made him one of the most iconic characters in cinema history. For one how we never truly got his backstory, what made him who he is.
Another one was how he changed his story about the scars every time he brought them up. It gave him an air of mystery, complexity. It showed who the Joker really is, how his mind works. More so than revealing his story could ever have.
And how well was he brought to life. Ledger nailed it. One of the greatest performances I have ever seen.
I am not a fan of Bale's Batman or Bruce Wayne. Its just not the characters I grew up with and know. The less said about his bat voice the better. Sounded more like he had throat cancer rather that the cold, menacing voice he is supposed to have. Now Affleck on the other hand... So badass, so..., so Batman.
But it worked well enough in the context of the world they built and that was good enough for me.
The Dark Knight is to this day the best CBM ever made, with TDK trilogy being the best CBM series. But I do think Affleck's Batman trilogy has the potential of topping it. In-fact I would be disappointed if it didn't.
Affleck is a phenomenal director and storyteller. His Batman is perfect and he is a huge fan of the character. What more can you ask for?
