Always knew Ranvir was hatke...that's why so many of us took time to decide whether we ' like ' him or not. Happy to read good work is appreciated. Specially in this industry when Star kids are forced on the audience. And he is not a STAR kid.

I watched it yesterday and thought it was strictly average.

First, too many songs, some of which totally killed the mood and were context inappropriate. Malhari was the worst offender- wrong time and just stripped Bajirao's character of any dignity. Looks like Bhansali forgot it was BM and not Ram Leela.

The film could also use at least 30 mins of it being shaved off. It dragged at many points.

I felt all 3 were equally impacting and no one overshadowed the other. I expected to be blown away by Kashi, but that didn't happen. She was good, but not incredible. Mastani was quite frankly an unappealing character- always mournful and pompous. I think DP did her best with the lovesick Mastani, but the character was not strong enough to evoke empathy.

Bajirao and Mastani's love story has zero impact and is one dimensional. It was a very flash in the pan, fatalistic love story and failed to move me. I expected that though. It was basically glorified infidelity and that never appeals to me. I don't know why Bhansali is so fascinated by the Romeo-Juliet type of love stories.

All in all, the movie was just...okay. I kind of feel I wasted my time, 'cause I didn't like it that much.

After this, definitely not watching Dilwale at all. Looks like it will be even worse. 😆

I need to watch this movie now. I wish they made one movie on Bajirao's rise to power. We can have a prequel then.

Guys just finished watching BM in Housefull show
Its spectacular...
DP and PC both are amazing
But Ranveer killed it
People clapped and whistled in malhari
People cried a bucket and I'm not over it yet
