You've got that James Dean daydream look in your eyes!
*Ringg!*
It was mornings that made Khushi vicious like a cat. She slammed her hand on her alarm clock and accident knocked it of the bedside table.
Probably breaking the second of it this month!
Groaning Khushi turned on her back and shielded her eyes from the harsh sunlight swimming in her room through the open curtains. She sleepily rubbed her eyes and stretched like a cat.
Sighing, she sat up and wiggled her toes in the carpet. She loves the fuzzy rug that was spread all over her room's floor. It was a pale pink, almost rosegold. One of her favorite color.
She pulled her hair in a messy topknot and headed for the en-suite for her morning routines.
Two more days. Khushi said to herself. Two more days until she was 18. And two more days until the much awaited ball.
As soon as the announcement of the Ball was made, media was in a frenzy. They wanted to capture every single detail of the ball, starting from preparations until the event.
The invites were two ago and almost all the invites were accepted and appreciated. The guestlist was ready and her dress was ready too.
Supposedly, Arnav's mother, Mia Raizada had designed a dress especially for Khushi. Ironic!
Let the son cut your hair and let the mother doll you up! Ha!
But as her mother told her, Mia was one of the best. And Shashi and Garima wouldn't settle for anything less.
Adin was beyond furious when he found out. He wanted nothing to with that godforsaken person and anyone of his acquaintance. But it wasn't possible seeing they had close business relationships with Raizada family.
All the preparations were at full swing.
The caterers and flowers and themes. Everything was planned to perfection.
The party was to be held at The Leela Palace, Delhi's most luxurious hotel.
The guest list starred all the Big business tycoons and a few film stars. It was for sure going to be star-studded.
It was very convenient because Khuhsi's and Adin's birthday were December. It was holiday season, meaning no school for quite some time. It meant that they both had complete participation in the organising part, much to Adin's dismay and Khushi's delight.
~

Theme: Yule Ball
With love,
Guptas
Arnav scoffed.
He was never going to such a ball with the most boring and clichd theme ever.
Yule?! Really! The whole winter wonderland theme made him want to puke. Only a nerd like Khushi could think of something like this.
He knew Khushi was obsessed with Harry Potter since the first time they met due to her very obvious "Expecto Patronium" T-shirt. Typical nerd stuff. He snickered.
But he knew very well that he had no choice but to attend. It was about business and not pleasure. But maybe I'll find my pleasure there. He was a cheeky bas***d and he knew it.
He shoved the invite in his drawer and slipped on T-shirt. He was getting late. He couldn't afford to be late to meet her. He still had to buy chocolates and flowers!
On second thought, he grabbed the invite ti bring along. Might as well show her.

Khushi was looking to buy a gift for Adin. She had no idea what to get him. He almost had everything he wanted or needed. It was a tedious job but necessary.
She was scrolling through her Instagram when she was hit with the idea of the best birthday present ever. She just had to make the necessary phone calls.
She quickly drove back and home started planning to surprise Adin for a change. Every year, Adin gave her the best of gifts but this year, Khushi wanted to do it. She wanted to make her brother the happiest man. And she knew exactly how to.
