Hey everyone, it's been real busy and I really miss coming out here as often as I used to. Not to complain or anything but 13- 14 hour long days at work is really sucking the life out of me. I have been wanting to post this one from almost 2 weeks now and though I am not very happy about how it has turned out, I have decided to post it. Honestly it staying on my lappy any longer would have driven me as crazy as the work at my office is right now.

BTW, is it only me or does anyone else also think the CVs are stalking our Forum?😆 Sanskaar's taunts to Swara on the show seriously feel like it's coming from all of us -- Mahaan banne ka shuak hain na?," not going to say sorry since you hurt me 100 folds more than I do and everyday yet I say nothing", the divorce track. Every single one of them are what we always wished and complained about na?😃 I really am enjoying SwaSan right now.😃 Rest of the show🤢

I wanted to inform you guys, that this one is different from my other works on SwaSan which of course were more serious and angsty.(I think 😆 ) This one's light and very random. Something that just popped into my mind and I had to get it out. Hopefully it's not way too random.😕 Also this particular TS follows the story arc of my FF - Partners. If you haven't read it, it's fine as long as you know and don't mind the fact that Sanskaar is a professional singer/ rockstar and Swara is a dancer. I am trying my best to try to work on updating that one as well. I really hope I can have an update up by the end of this weekend. So to anyone who is waiting for an update on partners, apologies, promise I will try to update ASAP.

This was supposed to be an OS but yet again, couldn't stop writing so it ended up being a two shot. This one is a little special to me, so I really hope I haven't done too bad at writing it to bore you guys. I actually realize the fact that it's very generic but somethings just need to be said out loud, which is why I started writing this one.😊 As usual awaiting your honest feedback, good or bad. 😊

Haven't proof read it . Will do it as soon as I get some time so please forgive the mistakes.

|To be yours ...|

~~Every time, you look at me and look away when I catch you looking at me, this feeling inside of me is more than I can handle and it is not fair that I am left to wonder if it's all in my head or do you really look at me the way I always look at you?~~

Swara was happily sipping her favorite chikoo-choco shake while Sanskaar sat frowning at her, clearly disapproving her drink choice. It had been one of those odd days where both of them had the privilege of spending the day away from their families and the madness that came with it. There had been a meeting that Sanskaar had to attend in Mumbai and since it was going to take him a couple of days to return, he had insisted that she come with him and Bade Papa had instantly agreed and had made arrangements so that she could accompany him on his trip.

"Swara that's the third one in a row, you are bound to catch a cold or worse a fever if you kept that up" Sanskaar warned her concerned.

"Kuch nahin hoga Sanskaar! You know how long it's been since I had one of these and this one just tastes amazing! Here you should try too!" she declared thrusting the drink towards him.

"No thank you, I'm not insane to want to down a milk shake after getting completely drenched in the rain a few minutes ago", he declared managing to push the glass away from him like it had offended him in some way causing Swara to chuckle.

"You are so boring Sanskaar! Thande mausum mein thandi..."

"Thandi Ice cream aur milkshake peene ki mazaa hi kuch aur hota hain.." he completed , cutting her off.

"Exactly!" she declared grinning while he shook his head at her.

Swara was again drawn towards the sight of raindrops racing across the caf's windows. Tracing the raindrops on a window cheering for them had always been her favorite past time. The patter of raindrops on the window or rooftop had always been her favorite sound and she loved how it immediately set her at ease, completely calming her down. She had always been fascinated by the magic of it all. However today she realized that unfortunately, the spell was not quite as powerful as it usually was. Her thoughts kept diverting back to what she had heard back at the hotel.

*******************************************************************

"Mujhe kuch aur pehnle na chahiya tha.Kya zaroorat thi saree pehanneki. Ab bukhto Swara, the number of times you have excused yourself to the washroom would have got everyone thinking something entirely different!" she cursed trying to pin the pleats yet again.

"OMG that was Sanskaar right?!",Swara suddenly heard a girl entering the washroom shriek causing her to yet again falter with her pleats.

"Would you keep it down, please?! Do you want to announce it to the entire world?" another girl hissed nervously.

"Kusum we are in the frickin' washroom. Besides 2 whole years and he didn't know, you seriously think that would change today? You are so mental! Heard he is married now, if only you weren't such a chicken back then" the girl complained.

"Jenny, can you please just give it a rest! Like you said he is married now, I really don't want to talk about it," she saw the girl called Kusum reply.

"I don't get it though. You had a crush on him for 2 freakin' years and yet you never approached or even talked to the guy unless it was office or project related . All you had to say was hey! I'm Kusum and what's your name you delicious looking insaan? Seriously! You sat next to him every day." she said exasperated.

"Right, because announcing how edible they look would definitely make them want to be my friend! Seriously Jenny enough of this, I was happy just crushing on him. Besides, there was something about him that screamed he would run away if I tried to ever talk to him about my feelings, not to mention how exhausting it would have been to have to pretend to not feel the way I did for him . I wouldn't have been able to get myself to talk to him even if I wanted to. You know how I get when I'm nervous, I spout absolute shit! Besides, If I did say it to him then what next? That would be the end.So instead I chose to not embarrass myself and be content with admiring him from afar. I know how ridiculous that sounds to you but it's something that I will always cherish",she declared while Swara saw her friend roll her eyes at the girl.

"Like I said, you are definitely mental and I'm going to go mad if I continue to listen to your fascinating theory about secret feelings and the pleasure of unrequited love. Let's go, our encounter with your Mr. Darcy awaits us" she announced and left while Swara got a good look at the girl called Kusum who was now fidgeting with her dress looking completely nervous before she left after her friend.

With a start she realized that she had still not got to pinning her saree up. She hurriedly pinned it up and left to join Sanskaar at the table.

When she got to the hall, she saw that he was already in conversation with the two girls she had just encountered. As she approached their table she heard him speak, "Yeah, with this we would definitely be able to have the demo of the apps in less than a week thereby cutting down the development time at least in half. More velocity is what we are always after in an agile environment and this helps us achieve exactly that"

"Right, which is why we are pleased to have you on board to once again help us in achieving the set objectives much before the planned time. This is definitely going to please our clients Sanskaar. It is unfortunate that we don't have the time to discuss it in detail, however we will take everything you have proposed into consideration. Mr.Maheshwari , will get back to you shortly. Thank you so much" she saw the girl called Jenny announce offering him a hand shake while finally noticing her behind Sanskaar.

She saw Sanskaar follow her gaze. "Swara tum theekh ho?What kept you? Are you feeling okay?" he enquired while she noticed the girls looking at each other stunned and confused.

Sankaar finally realizing that they had company ,hurriedly excused himself and introduced her."Oh I'm sorry for being so rude. This is my wife, Swara and Swara these are my former colleagues and our current business partners Kusum and Jennifer" he introduced them.

"Hi Mrs. Maheshwari. It's nice to meet you. We will now take our leave Sanskaar", the girl called jenny announced smiling at her rather nervously before the both of them left.

*******************************************************************

She wondered if that girl still had feelings for him now. That thought didn't seem to sit well with her. She wondered what would have happened if that girl had actually confessed to him. What would have been his reaction, she mused.

"Swara!" she heard Sanskaar call out to her snapping her out of her trance. "Kahan kogayithi? I asked you if you wanted anything else to eat. It's going to get really late before we reach home", he asked.

"Forget about food Sanskaar, I just remembered something that I had to ask you. Remember those girls that we met today during your lunch meeting. Your colleagues? How well do you know them?" she asked him before she could stop herself.

"Huh? Like I said we worked together for about a year and half so I guess they are really good at what they do. Why do you ask?" he asked confused.

"Seriously Sanskaar?!", she face palmed. "I'm not talking about work. I meant how are they as people, you know as friends? And you call yourself an artist", she huffed annoyed that he was being so dense. She waited as she fidgeted with her abandoned sandwich, her favorite milkshake now forgotten.

"You of all people should know by now about the kind of person I had turned into back then Swara but if I had to describe the kind of people that they are, I'd go with honest and kind I guess" he shrugged. "What's with the 20 questions suddenly? Where are you going with this?" he asked her

She knew that since Kusum and Sanskaar were now business partners, her telling him about the crush would definitely make things awkward for both of them and besides when she had chosen to never tell him about it, what right did she have to reveal another girls feelings that way? Finally having made her mind up, she answered. "Nahin aisey hi, I had always wanted to know how girls in the IT sector were. Was just curious". She was proud of the fact that not only had she come up with a convincing lie but she also managed to get herself do the right thing.

"Okayyy?" he said quirking his eyebrow at her not sounding very convinced. Looks like it's not going to stop raining anytime sooner, so I am going to go order myself a burger, do you want me to get you anything? You should really eat something Swara. It's going to be really late by the time we get home" he told her as he looked at the pouring rain outside the window.

After the 3 milkshakes that she had downed and the one she was currently trying hard to finish, if she had anything more to eat, she would definitely burst she thought. When she had told him exactly that he had got up clearly not happy with the reason, she could tell with the way he had pursed his lips. Having nothing else to do after he had left and not wanting to dwell more on the blast from Sanskaar's past, she tried to distract herself with a magazine lying on the table while continuing to blow bubbles into her milkshake .She soon grew tired of the magazine and looked around the cafe which she now noticed was completely packed with more people coming in to avoid the rain outside. Two tables away from her, she noticed a small girl who was intently staring at her and trying to imitate her in blowing bubbles into her smoothie. She couldn't help but wave at the adorable girl and try to get her to wave back. Her parents she assumed, who were up and till then engaged in a serious conversation with each other had finally noticed their daughter waving happily at a complete stranger. Her mom, she assumed was the one who shot the I don't trust you' look her way and switched positions, securing her daughter between the herself and her husband. That had made her chuckle as it reminded her of her own over-protective mom.

She now looked back to check on what was taking Sanskaar so long when she saw them. He was talking to the same girls from lunch earlier, laughing at something they were saying as they made their way towards their table.

"Swara, I was just telling them how we were having a discussion about my days back when I was also a part of their team. They are apparently stuck here as well so I suggested we could all hang out until it stopped raining", he explained.

"Hey Swara , it's really nice that we got a chance to acquaint ourselves", Kusum was the first one to announce and Jenny held her hand out too. She was proud that she had managed to greet them back as pleasantly as she did seeing as she felt anything but pleasant about having them join Sanskaar and her. The whole situation was bothering her tad too much she realized. She didn't understand or rather couldn't exactly put her finger on it but she clearly wasn't happy that Sanskaar had invited them over to their table.

"You know Swara, Kusum here used to sit adjacent to my desk for almost all 2 years while I worked there and she didn't even bother to talk or even look at me. I thought she didn't like me the way she used to ignore my presence all the time. Now I know the girl is just weird that way" ,Sanskaar declared causing Jenny to snicker at the comment.

"Hey! How mean! I am not! It was you who always looked like you were going to snap at anyone who would dare talk to you. You were scary, not my fault", Kusum retorted pouting.

"Now that I have to agree on, you really looked intimidating Sanskaar.Swara, I'm not exaggerating when I say this, the entire 2 years that we saw him, never seen him smile, ever! I mean who doesn't smile? I had never thought I would be sitting here with you pulling Kusum's leg. You're really not that bad", Jenny announced causing Sanskaar to chuckle.

"I don't know if I should be insulted or pleased by that comment", he replied.

"I always thought you were weirdly intriguing", she heard Kusum declare grinning causing everyone to stare at her while she just shrugged.

"Err thanks , I think" , Sanskaar replied rather sheepishly annoying her even further. What was he doing flirting with them the way he was she thought furiously. She felt completely left out of their conversation , she wished she knew more about the Sanskaar they were talking about. She didn't like the fact that she knew nothing about this part of him. She always had prided herself about knowing and understanding him more than anyone else in the world. It irked her to know that there was a part of him that she was a stranger to. She was more annoyed at the fact that these two girls knew so much about that part of his life and as she took another stab at her sandwich, she managed to knock over the frappuccino that Sanskaar had got for himself. "I'm so sorry Sanskaar", she hurriedly apologized.

"Swara, it's fine it's just a drink. I'll just get another one" he assured her.

"You can share mine if you want, I really can't finish the whole thing alone", Kusum suggested while pushing the drink towards him. At this she perked up, finally getting her chance to participate. "But he really doesn't like chikoo-choco milkshake Kusum", she informed her.

"No, it's not like I hate it or anything Swara, I just don't share the same love that you have for it that's all", he told her while taking a sip at the drink. "Hmm , it's really good. No wonder you had 4 of them " he declared making her gawk at him feeling rather embarrassed and betrayed.

"I know right? I really liked it as well. Not all the shops make it that well", Kusum replied grinning while Sanskaar nodded his head in agreement. She didn't want to hear the rest of the conversation, tending her annoyance and rage in brooding silence, she rose up from her seat

"Looks like the rain stopped, I guess we should get going now before it's very late" she announced now standing up having enough of the conversation causing Sanskaar to look up at her befuddled.

"We will leave in 5 minutes Swara, they haven't finished their drinks and you told me it's bad manners to leave while others on your table hadn't finished " Sanskaar announced, raising his eyebrows at her.

"I know Sanskaar. It's just my head feels heavy and it's way too cold in here. I think I had one too many milkshakes today so I'm going to wait for you in the car after I take the medicines. It was really nice meeting you two. ", she told them and left the table before she said or did something that would not only embarrass her but also Sanskaar. She didn't know what had gotten into her. She was so infuriatingly mad at him, for inviting them over, chatting away while ignoring her and more importantly sharing her favorite drink with that girl. How could he, when he had clearly refused it when she had begged him to try it. It had been the last straw and she had to get away from them before she blew. As she reached their car, she realized that in her hurry to get away from them, she had completely forgotten to take the keys from him. Cursing at herself for being so dense, she turned back only to see that Sanskaar was running towards her.

"Tum theekh ho? Kaha tha na maine, don't drink too many but as usual you never listen" he chastised her while unlocking the car. They got in and Sanskaar took the medicines out from the cabinet and handed it over to her with some water. "Chalo after you take them, wear my jacket and you can go to sleep. I'll wake you up when we reach home", he told her and even though she was still mad at him, she couldn't help but do what he asked her to.

~~I think we like to complicate things when it is really quite simple; find what it is that makes you happy and who it is that makes you happy and you're set. Promise.~~

The quotes inside~~ were by me( yep, made that one up 😆) and from one of my favorite movies of all time, One Day respectively. If anyone hasn't watched the movie yet, do consider watching it. It's beautiful!😳

Hey guys I know I promised an update yesterday but blame my PM for it😆Seriously I am going to loose all my marbles if I have to put up with the utter nonsense on the show especially after the really long days at work.🤢 I am officially now down to watching only the "SwaSan" links updated by Asha in the forum. Thank you so much Asha for being our savior in such dfficult times.🤗😆

I know so many of you wanted intense romance between SwaSan (God knows how long we have to wait for it to happen on the show) I wish I could have given you guys what you asked for, but since it follows the story arc of my FF - 'Partners', I couldn't deviate from it even when I really wanted to.

Let me explain:
A) If you have been following that story of mine, you should know that this was before Sanskaar professed his love to her. Right now here in the story they are just best friends.
If you haven't read 'Partners' - Swara and Sanskaar are best friends from their college days. SwaSan go way long back, they were not strangers when they met during Sanskaar's revenge drama.

B) This story is obviously about SwaSan but it also is about Kusum. She sort of represents all of us when it comes to being in love with Sanskaar. This story was kinda to represent our love for him as much as it is about SwaSan. So I hope you enjoy reading that part as well.😊

To people who do follow 'Partners', since Swara has just realized her love( in the last update) I promise you there will be so much more romance in the future updates.

Now I hope you understand and forgive me for not being able to give you that here and enjoy their story.

As usual way too late to proof-read, will do it in the morning (in my case the afternoon)😛 so please excuse the mistakes and typos

|...always!|

~~Because, if you could love someone, and keep loving them, without being loved back . . . then that love had to be real. It hurt too much to be anything else.~~

Sanskaar couldn't remember the last time that he had been so upset over returning home. He had, had a good time on the trip, especially having in her company. He had missed it, spending time with her, just hanging out, having a good time and away from all the madness that was now their normal. Which is why he realized that this day had an almost dj vu feeling to it. He had been very glad to see how happy she was to have got a break as well. He would happily give this to her every day, all she had to do was ask.

"Sanskaar, mein pehle change karleti hoon theek hain?"Swara's voice brought him back from his reverie. "Theek hain and then off to bed you go" he announced sternly making her roll her eyes at him.

He made sure that she took her medicines after she returned and tucked her into bed . "Mein theek hoon Sanskaar, it's just a head ache. Stop fussing over it like it'some bhayaanak illness!" she snapped at him.

"Okayy... I understand that you have a headache but what's with the attitude Swara? Are you mad at me over something?" he asked her miffed at her odd behavior.

"It's nothing Sanskaar. I'm sorry for snapping at you. I have no idea why I'm so worked up" she told him.

"Seriously? And you call ME moody. Until today evening you were happy, sipping your milkshake and suddenly you're all gloomy and ticked off! And here I thought you would be happy being out of this place, I honestly get a whiplash trying to figure you out sometimes" he declared giving up.

"Tumne woh milkshake kyun piya?!" she demanded suddenly, completely catching him off guard. "Hain?! ...Tum kya bole jaa rahi ho Swara? Maine kab piyatha? Tumne piya that aur who bhi poore chaar , are you milkshake high?" he asked her clearly confused at where she was going with it.

Throwing the blankets off her, she sat up staring at him clearly looking mad. "Nahin!Tune kyu piya?Aur who bhi uski . Jab maine offer kiya toh you clearly refused to even take a sip while you happily drank it when she offered" , she accused.

It then struck him, her sudden desire to get back home and the silent treatment that he got in the car. "Oh so that was the reason", he realized. He couldn't help but chuckle. She really was dense. "You clearly are mental Swara" he declared in between his laughter causing her to hit him with a pillow. "You insensitive idiot! I hate you" , she announced while he still doubled over in laughter. "Okay I'm sorry , I'll explain. Ahhh...! Stop hitting me crazypants! ", he told her while managing to grab both her hands. "The only reason I accepted her drink was because it would have been rude not to when she offered. Besides, I have way too much fun watching you when I diss something you like" he explained causing her to pout. "That was still mean. You completely shot me down back there" she complained. He suddenly realized he really had, albeit unintentionally, hurt her with that one and clearly owed her an apology.

"I'm so sorry for that Swara. I did not mean to or even realize that I embarrassed you back there", he apologized. He watched, waiting anxiously for her reply when a mischievous grin lit up her face. "You will be forgiven only on one condition" she announced making him anxious. "And that would be?" he asked apprehensively. "You will have to tell me everything about your life back when you disappeared. Every single detail.,okay?" , she told him and he let out a sigh of relief . He was glad that she had forgiven him. "There really isn't much to tell Swara but if that's what it takes then okay", he said making her grin, clearly happy that he had agreed. "Par kal theek hain?" he told her and when she looked like she was going to argue, he shushed her. "Nahin..Now is so not the time, it's late and you better get back to sleep. Long day ahead, don't forget we are back to Maheshwari Mansion" he reminded her causing her to pout. Pulling the blanket over her and informing her he would be spending some time over in the studio before he hit the sack, he left the room wishing her goodnight.

As Sanskaar walked into the studio, a huge grin on his face, he couldn't help but be amazed at how well their plan had actually worked. He remembered how ludicrous he had thought of it when he first heard it.

***********************************************************************

"I'm telling you Sanskaar if you really want to know what she actually feels for you we should seriously try this." Kusum suggested.

"I don't know Kusum this seems so completely filmy and unreal to me. I mean why would she be bothered by me being friendly with you. She has seen me hanging out with loads of other girls that I'm friends with," he told her.

"No you don't understand Sanskaar, there is a difference. I'm not just another girl. You see Jenny over here had to open her big mouth earlier today and your wife heard her tell how completely in love with you I was back then" she told him.

"Hey! In my defense, I never imagined Sanskaar's wife to have been in there and besides you two haven't yet told me how you are suddenly such good friends with each other" Jennifer complained.

"That's for another time Jenny. Now do you understand? If she has even the tiniest bit of feelings for you then she will react. What are you so afraid of? Even if the plan fails, you really have nothing to lose. I am just another girl that you know and you can go back to playing "we're best friends"with your wife", Kusum suggested.

"Fine. I still think this is ridiculous but if you want to have a go at it, promise me it will not be anything too dramatic, it is not one of your soaps" Sanskaar told her sternly

"Of course, nothing over the top we promise" both of them promised.

"Okay but we are supposed to leave in a short while, where are you going to put this plan of your's into action?" he asked her

"I have that sorted, make an excuse and stop somewhere and text us the location and we will take care of the rest" she suggested excitedly.

**********************************************************************

Kusum had been right and he was glad that she had convinced him to go through with it. There was hope after all. He had her to thank for all of it. She was one of his very few friends that he could talk to about almost everything and not be judged because of it. She was also one of the few who called spade, a spade. He had never imagined they would get to become such good friends especially after that awkward encounter almost 2 years ago.

**********************************************************************

Sanskaar hurriedly walked towards his desk as he got out of the lift. He was way too late and he hoped his absence hadn't created much trouble for the team. Krish had somehow learnt about his whereabouts and had since then been pestering him to come back and be a part of the band. It had almost been impossible to make him understand as to why he couldn't go back yet. But after he convinced him that he would be happy to be an unofficial, behind the scenes part of the band till he could make his comeback, Krish had promised to keep the information only among the band. He hoped he could count on his band to keep their promise as they always had.

"Sanskaar Maheshwari , your knight in shining armor eh?" he heard a girl comment stopping him in his tracks.

"Shhh! Jenny what is wrong with you? Anyone can hear us, including him", he heard a familiar voice say.

"Don't worry, he's not in office. He's probably not coming to office today seeing how he always has a habit of being the first from our team in the office. Besides I think it would do you good if he did listen to our conversation. You won't ever tell him, there should be some way that he knows about your obsession with the guy. Seriously Kusum, it's valentines day, you can at least tell the guy that you like him. No one is asking you to propose to him. All I'm saying is you never know, take a frickin' chance. Don't live to regret it, "he guessed the girl called Jenny say.

"Wait, Kusum?! Crush on me?", he thought stunned. He had caught her staring at him a few times. He had always thought that the fact that a girl who was so full of life and always managed to become friends with even the most difficult people in their team had never spoken a word to him was because he had somehow managed to offend her.

" *Why does everyone always think about love stories when they think about valentines day and love? What about absence-of-love stories? Aren't they much more common?*We are done discussing this, don't ever talk about it in the office again. Please don't make me regret telling you about it Jenny" he heard her announce and before he realized she had walked out of the conference room straight into him.

"Sorr..." she gulped not able to complete her sentence. Her had turned completely white. "Sanskaar?! ..did.. did you hear.. that?", she asked him clearly dreading the answer. He didn't know what he was supposed to say. Should he say yes he had and that it was okay and she shouldn't sweat about it? Or should he just lie and pretend that he was just passing by which he totally was five minutes ago and say that he hadn't heard anything at all? But he then decided that she at least deserved the truth.

"Yes , I'm sorry for eavesdropping on a conversation that clearly was supposed to be only between you two. I don't really know what to say right now but I am surprised that you like me that much. I always thought you never liked me much so I'm happy to hear that's not the case", he told her and he saw that his reply had at least managed to take away the fear in her eyes but now looked confused.

"Why would I hate you?" she asked clearly baffled.

"It's nothing... It's just..You never talked or looked at me though we sit right next to each other while you have no problems blabbing away to everyone else on our team" he explained.

She gave him a sheepish smile."Ah, guess that's how it looked like huh?" she face palmed. "Well since my biggest secret is now in the open might as well tell you the complete truth huh? I could never hate you even if I didn't have a crush on you Sanskaar. I don't know if you would remember, it was almost a year ago...It was one of those days where we were forced to come to office on weekends, I wasn't keeping well and it got worse and forcing me to leave. It was at around 8 PM in the night I guess and there were no buses in sight, the cabs not available for another 4 hours. I did eventually get into a bus but I knew I was in no state to survive the 2 hours travel to home. I remember praying that I would somehow manage to get home without collapsing midway through the journey and it was then that I noticed you. At first I really did think I was hallucinating. I mean you used to stay on the opposite part of the city but when you helped me get off the bus and followed me back to my place, I realized it couldn't possibly have been all in my head. Now I don't know if you were in the bus for me or got down at my place for me, now how could I hate a guy who would do that for a girl that he barely knew? I tried to talk to you to thank you but you were so aloof. It sometimes made me question if it really was you back then so I just didn't know how to bring it up" she explained.

He couldn't help but smile at the fact that she still remembered the fact from that long ago. "I couldn't just walk away after seeing the state that you were in" he replied causing her smile to turn into a grin.

"Well now that I know it was you for sure, this has been long due from my side so I really should say it now. Thank you for that night, for being there and dropping me home", she told him.

"Well then you are welcome". He replied

She had given him a grateful smile and had turned to leave when she suddenly stopped and turned back. "I ...uh.. I like you..as in I have a crush on you. Before you say anything, I don't expect you to return my feelings or anything but it's just ..after that stupid conversation inside about it being valentines day and all and then this", she said pointing towards the both of them. "our first real conversation I just had to get it out. There I said it... erm..and it's so completely awkward right now sooo... I'll just leave and Pretend this never happened okay. Bye!" she blurted and before he could fully comprehend what she had said, she had turned to leave."You look great today. Red has always looked good on you", he had admitted, causing her to stop in her tracks. "Red looks good on you? Seriously?", his subconscious taunted. She had however turned back blushing while correcting him that she was wearing peach and not red but thanked him for the compliment.

*********************************************************************

He had no idea why he had said what he had said next, maybe it had been that face he mused. Before he realized what had happened, words had flowed out of his mouth Now, as he sat on the stool strumming his guitar, experimenting with few root strums, thinking back on their conversation then, he realized how weird it was that they had gone on to become such good friends.

As he had entered the studio, he had a fair idea for a new song, these memories had now opened the door and he could now clearly see it. As he struck another cord, picturing his girl, he wondered, "when had he started to feel the way he did about her? His Swara?" It was impossible of course, to remember when and how those wonderful feelings had snuck in, surrounded him and had become the most predominant feelings in his heart, nothing else could or would ever come close. It had been terrifyingly overwhelming yet amazing and wonderful at the same time.

As he managed to find the right rhythm, the words started to emerge.

I hung up the phone tonight

Something happened for the first time deep inside

It was a rush, what a rush

'Cause the possibility

That you would ever feel the same way about me

It's just too much, just too much

Why do I keep running from the truth?

All I ever think about is you

You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized

And I've just got to know

Do you ever think when you're all alone

All that we can be, where this thing can go?

Am I crazy or falling in love?

Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?

Are you holding back like the way you do?

'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away

But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

Has it ever crossed your mind

When we're hanging, spending time girl, are we just friends?

Is there more, is there more?

See it's a chance we've gotta take

'Cause I believe that we can make this into something that will last

Last forever, forever...

As he strummed the last chord on his guitar, he heard applause and when he opened his eyes, he couldn't help but grin as he saw his very inspiration in front of him, reflecting the grin adorning his face. "How had he gotten so lucky?", he wondered

"That was amazing Sanskaar. Good to know that you haven't turned rustic" she commented on his song writing causing him to roll his eyes at her. "Oh I had help of course. Every artist needs his muse", he retorted causing her expression to turn from content smile to befuddlement. "Muse eh ? And who might that be?" she asked him narrowing her eyes at him suspiciously. "Now that is a secret for only me to know" he replied. "Haww? No fair! You don't tell me anything , your past or your muse..hmph" she retorted pouting. "Stupid Sanskaar, stupid song...stupid Kusum" he heard her mutter to herself making him chuckle. "Mazaa aaraha hain na mujhe pareshaan karke?.theekh hain, you sleep here! I'm locking you out unless you give me a name." she threatened him. "It's my room as much as it's yours Swara, you cannot lock me out" he told her. "Watch me!.. Good night Sanskaar", she replied and before he knew it, she had locked the door behind her. "Swara! Yeh kya bachpana hain, please open the door..people are going to be disturbed with me here outside knocking on the door" he tried reasoning. "Nahin, the door will open only when you tell me who your muse is" she remained adamant. Seeing as he had no choice, he turned to leave when she opened the door and suddenly pulled him inside. "I don't want to give mom another reason to complain about how her bangalan bahu is doing atyaachaar on her chora", she explained huffing. He couldn't help but laugh at her remark, as he took his place on the couch. When he proceeded to switch off the lights and settle down wishing her good night, he heard his phone beep. He wondered who was texting him at this time of the night as he opened it. It was from Kusum and it read

Toh Mr. SanskaarMaheshwari , it worked didn't it? She was so completely J! 😉

making him grin.

Seems to have worked a little too well🤔. Madam is still angry at me over the milkshake

Hahahaha..congratulations my buoy! Admit it! I have amazing acting skills, I should totally have my own show!🤣

Haha😆 yes amazing they were. Waise TY😊

Your wc 😊 but Sirf TY se nahichalega..😈

Hmmm...

Kya hmmm?😡 You owe me big time Sanky boy!

As an idea popped into his head he replied.

lol😆 alright alright...how does a song dedication sound then - 'to the pretty girl in red'?

It was only fitting he decided, since she had been a part of his inspiration for the song.

You mean like an actual song from you..to me? The Sanskaar Maheshwari of EthoS , a song for me? 😲😲

Nahin chahiye toh boldo..offer is withdraw-able😈

Nooo! I mean yes, that would be wonderful ! Thank you for the honor dear sir⭐️

You are most welcome Ma'am. Wanted to ask you something though

Yayy! My favorite pastime..20 questions..shoot! 😆

"do you..you know..still feel the same way about me?", he typed but he realized that it was such a weird thing to say, he couldn't possibly ask her that so he deleted it and instead sent

It's 3 AM kya karti rehti hain raat bar? Wait forget I asked,.you and your obsession with fictional characters. So jao yaar! GN SD😊

Hey! do not diss my stories and my guy! Hmph! Night! Ab toh sirf good nights or great nights hi honge na? 😳🥳😆

*insert rolling eyes*So jao! Warna dark circles ajaayenge 😈😆

With that he put his phone away and for the first time in a long time, slept with utmost content and peace of mind. There was still hope. But even if there wasn't any, unrequited love wasn't the worst thing in the world after all, he realized. He wouldn't change the way he felt about her for anything in the world.

~~Sometimes people fall in love with those who do not return the same strength of feelings. It is as it is. What I give, I give freely. You owe me nothing, not love, not friendship, not even obligation.~~

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The quotes ~~ are by Sarah Cross(Kill Me Softly) and Sherry Thomas(Tempting the Bride) respectively. The video and the wonderful song is of course of David Archuleta's Crush. I fell in love with the song when I first heard it. I thought it fit the story. Hope you enjoyed listening to it.😊

Geethu my dear...🤗 🤗

Why were you hesitating to post this yaar? It was really, really good. I liked the SwaSan dynamic---the casual vibe, the chatter over chickoo--choco shake. 😊 Is that a favorite drink of yours BTW? I love chickoo shake and I love choco shake--never tried them together as a single one. 😆

Am I allowed to dislike Kusum in your fic? She's not based on someone you know, someone you like, na? Please tell me its ok that I dislike her! 😆

And Swara, Swara...so gone in love for her pati...totally deewani that she dislikes the thought of any girl who had a crush on him in the past, coming into contact with him in the present. But to be fair, Kusum sounded quite soppy in that discussion with Jenny in the ladies room. 😊 And to be frank, I guess all girls (and guys too, for that matter!) would feel a bit uneasy and angsty if an old crush of their significant other's; or an acquaintance who had a crush on one's significant other, showed up for a casual chat. 😉

Possessive Swara, I like! Tell your pati that you want him to share only your chickoo--choco shake, my dear! No sharing with other girls allowed! (BTW, Geethu, that was a cardinal sin committed by poor Sanskaari Sansku Baba. Having turned down his wife's offer to have a sip, he accepts it from an acquaintance. Not done, not done. 😉 I guess he just wanted to seem polite, after all the ribbing he got about being remote and unapproachable!)

Waiting eagerly for part 2. And BTW, AMAZING quote that you made up, my dear. It was better than the other quote from the film, which you referred to. You should copyright this quote of yours, ASAP.

Also, as to your musings in the intro bit, I agree that the CVs surf this forum. 😆 Some of the dialogues are so uncannily similar to what we have been discussing and writing in our Fics. Chalo, lets put in oodles of romance and passion between SwaSan going forward. We could do with some sunny and intense romantic scenes on TV, na? 😳

Loads of Love

so intriguing!!! a jealous Swara.. but yaar, along with Swara me too felt she was left out and ignored in the conversation... felt bad for her... but just loved the concern of Sanskaar for Swara, when he came running after her.. :)) haha!!! he doesn't know the cause of illness, Wait Sanskaar, reach hotel, your biwi will take your khair-khabar , may be by making you drink 10 glasses of shake until your stomach burst out... 😈 or something else.. 😉 and quotes were so nice.. :) eagerly waiting for next part.. 😊
by the way never heard about chickoo shake. will try it surely...
