Hey everyone, it's been real busy and I really miss coming out here as often as I used to. Not to complain or anything but 13- 14 hour long days at work is really sucking the life out of me. I have been wanting to post this one from almost 2 weeks now and though I am not very happy about how it has turned out, I have decided to post it. Honestly it staying on my lappy any longer would have driven me as crazy as the work at my office is right now.
BTW, is it only me or does anyone else also think the CVs are stalking our Forum?😆 Sanskaar's taunts to Swara on the show seriously feel like it's coming from all of us -- Mahaan banne ka shuak hain na?," not going to say sorry since you hurt me 100 folds more than I do and everyday yet I say nothing", the divorce track. Every single one of them are what we always wished and complained about na?😃 I really am enjoying SwaSan right now.😃 Rest of the show🤢
I wanted to inform you guys, that this one is different from my other works on SwaSan which of course were more serious and angsty.(I think 😆 ) This one's light and very random. Something that just popped into my mind and I had to get it out. Hopefully it's not way too random.😕 Also this particular TS follows the story arc of my FF - Partners. If you haven't read it, it's fine as long as you know and don't mind the fact that Sanskaar is a professional singer/ rockstar and Swara is a dancer. I am trying my best to try to work on updating that one as well. I really hope I can have an update up by the end of this weekend. So to anyone who is waiting for an update on partners, apologies, promise I will try to update ASAP.
This was supposed to be an OS but yet again, couldn't stop writing so it ended up being a two shot. This one is a little special to me, so I really hope I haven't done too bad at writing it to bore you guys. I actually realize the fact that it's very generic but somethings just need to be said out loud, which is why I started writing this one.😊 As usual awaiting your honest feedback, good or bad. 😊
Haven't proof read it . Will do it as soon as I get some time so please forgive the mistakes.

|To be yours ...|
~~Every time, you look at me and look away when I catch you looking at me, this feeling inside of me is more than I can handle and it is not fair that I am left to wonder if it's all in my head or do you really look at me the way I always look at you?~~
Swara was happily sipping her favorite chikoo-choco shake while Sanskaar sat frowning at her, clearly disapproving her drink choice. It had been one of those odd days where both of them had the privilege of spending the day away from their families and the madness that came with it. There had been a meeting that Sanskaar had to attend in Mumbai and since it was going to take him a couple of days to return, he had insisted that she come with him and Bade Papa had instantly agreed and had made arrangements so that she could accompany him on his trip.
"Swara that's the third one in a row, you are bound to catch a cold or worse a fever if you kept that up" Sanskaar warned her concerned.
"Kuch nahin hoga Sanskaar! You know how long it's been since I had one of these and this one just tastes amazing! Here you should try too!" she declared thrusting the drink towards him.
"No thank you, I'm not insane to want to down a milk shake after getting completely drenched in the rain a few minutes ago", he declared managing to push the glass away from him like it had offended him in some way causing Swara to chuckle.
"You are so boring Sanskaar! Thande mausum mein thandi..."
"Thandi Ice cream aur milkshake peene ki mazaa hi kuch aur hota hain.." he completed , cutting her off.
"Exactly!" she declared grinning while he shook his head at her.
Swara was again drawn towards the sight of raindrops racing across the caf's windows. Tracing the raindrops on a window cheering for them had always been her favorite past time. The patter of raindrops on the window or rooftop had always been her favorite sound and she loved how it immediately set her at ease, completely calming her down. She had always been fascinated by the magic of it all. However today she realized that unfortunately, the spell was not quite as powerful as it usually was. Her thoughts kept diverting back to what she had heard back at the hotel.
*******************************************************************
"Mujhe kuch aur pehnle na chahiya tha.Kya zaroorat thi saree pehanneki. Ab bukhto Swara, the number of times you have excused yourself to the washroom would have got everyone thinking something entirely different!" she cursed trying to pin the pleats yet again.
"OMG that was Sanskaar right?!",Swara suddenly heard a girl entering the washroom shriek causing her to yet again falter with her pleats.
"Would you keep it down, please?! Do you want to announce it to the entire world?" another girl hissed nervously.
"Kusum we are in the frickin' washroom. Besides 2 whole years and he didn't know, you seriously think that would change today? You are so mental! Heard he is married now, if only you weren't such a chicken back then" the girl complained.
"Jenny, can you please just give it a rest! Like you said he is married now, I really don't want to talk about it," she saw the girl called Kusum reply.
"I don't get it though. You had a crush on him for 2 freakin' years and yet you never approached or even talked to the guy unless it was office or project related . All you had to say was hey! I'm Kusum and what's your name you delicious looking insaan? Seriously! You sat next to him every day." she said exasperated.
"Right, because announcing how edible they look would definitely make them want to be my friend! Seriously Jenny enough of this, I was happy just crushing on him. Besides, there was something about him that screamed he would run away if I tried to ever talk to him about my feelings, not to mention how exhausting it would have been to have to pretend to not feel the way I did for him . I wouldn't have been able to get myself to talk to him even if I wanted to. You know how I get when I'm nervous, I spout absolute shit! Besides, If I did say it to him then what next? That would be the end.So instead I chose to not embarrass myself and be content with admiring him from afar. I know how ridiculous that sounds to you but it's something that I will always cherish",she declared while Swara saw her friend roll her eyes at the girl.
"Like I said, you are definitely mental and I'm going to go mad if I continue to listen to your fascinating theory about secret feelings and the pleasure of unrequited love. Let's go, our encounter with your Mr. Darcy awaits us" she announced and left while Swara got a good look at the girl called Kusum who was now fidgeting with her dress looking completely nervous before she left after her friend.
With a start she realized that she had still not got to pinning her saree up. She hurriedly pinned it up and left to join Sanskaar at the table.
When she got to the hall, she saw that he was already in conversation with the two girls she had just encountered. As she approached their table she heard him speak, "Yeah, with this we would definitely be able to have the demo of the apps in less than a week thereby cutting down the development time at least in half. More velocity is what we are always after in an agile environment and this helps us achieve exactly that"
"Right, which is why we are pleased to have you on board to once again help us in achieving the set objectives much before the planned time. This is definitely going to please our clients Sanskaar. It is unfortunate that we don't have the time to discuss it in detail, however we will take everything you have proposed into consideration. Mr.Maheshwari , will get back to you shortly. Thank you so much" she saw the girl called Jenny announce offering him a hand shake while finally noticing her behind Sanskaar.
She saw Sanskaar follow her gaze. "Swara tum theekh ho?What kept you? Are you feeling okay?" he enquired while she noticed the girls looking at each other stunned and confused.
Sankaar finally realizing that they had company ,hurriedly excused himself and introduced her."Oh I'm sorry for being so rude. This is my wife, Swara and Swara these are my former colleagues and our current business partners Kusum and Jennifer" he introduced them.
"Hi Mrs. Maheshwari. It's nice to meet you. We will now take our leave Sanskaar", the girl called jenny announced smiling at her rather nervously before the both of them left.
*******************************************************************
She wondered if that girl still had feelings for him now. That thought didn't seem to sit well with her. She wondered what would have happened if that girl had actually confessed to him. What would have been his reaction, she mused.
"Swara!" she heard Sanskaar call out to her snapping her out of her trance. "Kahan kogayithi? I asked you if you wanted anything else to eat. It's going to get really late before we reach home", he asked.
"Forget about food Sanskaar, I just remembered something that I had to ask you. Remember those girls that we met today during your lunch meeting. Your colleagues? How well do you know them?" she asked him before she could stop herself.
"Huh? Like I said we worked together for about a year and half so I guess they are really good at what they do. Why do you ask?" he asked confused.
"Seriously Sanskaar?!", she face palmed. "I'm not talking about work. I meant how are they as people, you know as friends? And you call yourself an artist", she huffed annoyed that he was being so dense. She waited as she fidgeted with her abandoned sandwich, her favorite milkshake now forgotten.
"You of all people should know by now about the kind of person I had turned into back then Swara but if I had to describe the kind of people that they are, I'd go with honest and kind I guess" he shrugged. "What's with the 20 questions suddenly? Where are you going with this?" he asked her
She knew that since Kusum and Sanskaar were now business partners, her telling him about the crush would definitely make things awkward for both of them and besides when she had chosen to never tell him about it, what right did she have to reveal another girls feelings that way? Finally having made her mind up, she answered. "Nahin aisey hi, I had always wanted to know how girls in the IT sector were. Was just curious". She was proud of the fact that not only had she come up with a convincing lie but she also managed to get herself do the right thing.
"Okayyy?" he said quirking his eyebrow at her not sounding very convinced. Looks like it's not going to stop raining anytime sooner, so I am going to go order myself a burger, do you want me to get you anything? You should really eat something Swara. It's going to be really late by the time we get home" he told her as he looked at the pouring rain outside the window.
After the 3 milkshakes that she had downed and the one she was currently trying hard to finish, if she had anything more to eat, she would definitely burst she thought. When she had told him exactly that he had got up clearly not happy with the reason, she could tell with the way he had pursed his lips. Having nothing else to do after he had left and not wanting to dwell more on the blast from Sanskaar's past, she tried to distract herself with a magazine lying on the table while continuing to blow bubbles into her milkshake .She soon grew tired of the magazine and looked around the cafe which she now noticed was completely packed with more people coming in to avoid the rain outside. Two tables away from her, she noticed a small girl who was intently staring at her and trying to imitate her in blowing bubbles into her smoothie. She couldn't help but wave at the adorable girl and try to get her to wave back. Her parents she assumed, who were up and till then engaged in a serious conversation with each other had finally noticed their daughter waving happily at a complete stranger. Her mom, she assumed was the one who shot the I don't trust you' look her way and switched positions, securing her daughter between the herself and her husband. That had made her chuckle as it reminded her of her own over-protective mom.
She now looked back to check on what was taking Sanskaar so long when she saw them. He was talking to the same girls from lunch earlier, laughing at something they were saying as they made their way towards their table.
"Swara, I was just telling them how we were having a discussion about my days back when I was also a part of their team. They are apparently stuck here as well so I suggested we could all hang out until it stopped raining", he explained.
"Hey Swara , it's really nice that we got a chance to acquaint ourselves", Kusum was the first one to announce and Jenny held her hand out too. She was proud that she had managed to greet them back as pleasantly as she did seeing as she felt anything but pleasant about having them join Sanskaar and her. The whole situation was bothering her tad too much she realized. She didn't understand or rather couldn't exactly put her finger on it but she clearly wasn't happy that Sanskaar had invited them over to their table.
"You know Swara, Kusum here used to sit adjacent to my desk for almost all 2 years while I worked there and she didn't even bother to talk or even look at me. I thought she didn't like me the way she used to ignore my presence all the time. Now I know the girl is just weird that way" ,Sanskaar declared causing Jenny to snicker at the comment.
"Hey! How mean! I am not! It was you who always looked like you were going to snap at anyone who would dare talk to you. You were scary, not my fault", Kusum retorted pouting.
"Now that I have to agree on, you really looked intimidating Sanskaar.Swara, I'm not exaggerating when I say this, the entire 2 years that we saw him, never seen him smile, ever! I mean who doesn't smile? I had never thought I would be sitting here with you pulling Kusum's leg. You're really not that bad", Jenny announced causing Sanskaar to chuckle.
"I don't know if I should be insulted or pleased by that comment", he replied.
"I always thought you were weirdly intriguing", she heard Kusum declare grinning causing everyone to stare at her while she just shrugged.
"Err thanks , I think" , Sanskaar replied rather sheepishly annoying her even further. What was he doing flirting with them the way he was she thought furiously. She felt completely left out of their conversation , she wished she knew more about the Sanskaar they were talking about. She didn't like the fact that she knew nothing about this part of him. She always had prided herself about knowing and understanding him more than anyone else in the world. It irked her to know that there was a part of him that she was a stranger to. She was more annoyed at the fact that these two girls knew so much about that part of his life and as she took another stab at her sandwich, she managed to knock over the frappuccino that Sanskaar had got for himself. "I'm so sorry Sanskaar", she hurriedly apologized.
"Swara, it's fine it's just a drink. I'll just get another one" he assured her.
"You can share mine if you want, I really can't finish the whole thing alone", Kusum suggested while pushing the drink towards him. At this she perked up, finally getting her chance to participate. "But he really doesn't like chikoo-choco milkshake Kusum", she informed her.
"No, it's not like I hate it or anything Swara, I just don't share the same love that you have for it that's all", he told her while taking a sip at the drink. "Hmm , it's really good. No wonder you had 4 of them " he declared making her gawk at him feeling rather embarrassed and betrayed.
"I know right? I really liked it as well. Not all the shops make it that well", Kusum replied grinning while Sanskaar nodded his head in agreement. She didn't want to hear the rest of the conversation, tending her annoyance and rage in brooding silence, she rose up from her seat
"Looks like the rain stopped, I guess we should get going now before it's very late" she announced now standing up having enough of the conversation causing Sanskaar to look up at her befuddled.
"We will leave in 5 minutes Swara, they haven't finished their drinks and you told me it's bad manners to leave while others on your table hadn't finished " Sanskaar announced, raising his eyebrows at her.
"I know Sanskaar. It's just my head feels heavy and it's way too cold in here. I think I had one too many milkshakes today so I'm going to wait for you in the car after I take the medicines. It was really nice meeting you two. ", she told them and left the table before she said or did something that would not only embarrass her but also Sanskaar. She didn't know what had gotten into her. She was so infuriatingly mad at him, for inviting them over, chatting away while ignoring her and more importantly sharing her favorite drink with that girl. How could he, when he had clearly refused it when she had begged him to try it. It had been the last straw and she had to get away from them before she blew. As she reached their car, she realized that in her hurry to get away from them, she had completely forgotten to take the keys from him. Cursing at herself for being so dense, she turned back only to see that Sanskaar was running towards her.
"Tum theekh ho? Kaha tha na maine, don't drink too many but as usual you never listen" he chastised her while unlocking the car. They got in and Sanskaar took the medicines out from the cabinet and handed it over to her with some water. "Chalo after you take them, wear my jacket and you can go to sleep. I'll wake you up when we reach home", he told her and even though she was still mad at him, she couldn't help but do what he asked her to.
~~I think we like to complicate things when it is really quite simple; find what it is that makes you happy and who it is that makes you happy and you're set. Promise.~~
