Shahid Kapoor back in Half Girlfriend

There seems to be no respite in sight for Ekta Kapoor's Half Girlfriend, directed by Mohit Suri. Sushant Singh Rajput has opted out of the project due to date issues.

And now, the makers have approached their original choice for protagonist Madhav Jha " Shahid Kapoor.

Says a source close to the development, "Shahid was to play the Bihari loverboy. Then Shahid's Shaandaar bombed and the film's producers went to Sushant. Unfortunately for them, he had already given away those dates to Dinesh Vijan for his directorial debut."

Adds the source, "Shahid is now back in the project. It seems the role was destined for him."
