Season 2---- just a far fetched dream?

Hello people ! 😊

So, its been 1.5 months since Kabir and Ananya had last lit up our TV screens 😭 But, I have still not been able to get over their magic..
😳 Now, coming to the point. Can't any thing be done from our side to get a season 2 for the show or at least a short online series. I know, previously there have been a lot of efforts made by fans for getting sequels of other shows, but most of them have failed. But our show is different. 😳 Its one such show, where the makers and actors have shown great interest in coming up with a season 2, if the channel permits. This is one show where the makers and the channel or the actors didn't have any fallout making it impossible for them to ccom back together. At the very beginning, Reporters was launched as a season based show.. So, we do deserve a season 2 for it !

As far as TRPs are concerned, I just found out today that PKHJD, which replaced Reporters has the same ratings, 0.2 (14th-20th Nov). Which clearly goes onto show that Reporters did not fail to deliver numbers due to lack of good content or performance, but due to some slackness from the channel's side. Otherwise every show, specially an EK show wouldn't have failed in the same way. On the other hand, Reporters had created a rage online. Sony can at least cater to its online audience by bringing Reporters instead of getting shows like Parvarish 2 and all , which neither have online popularity nor TRPs.

I kinda feel, its the right time for us to do something to get our show back ! The channel needs to know the fan power of Reporters.. What say guys ?

I totally agree with you !! Already a petition was started in change.com... And then in another website.. I am not sure of its name... !! I think twitter will be a great platform and so will other sites that help us to reach the concerned directly!!
Unity and consistency in our protest can do wonders...

Hi dear...I totally agree with ya. Missing KaYa and reporters like anything. Though its just been 1/5 months but it seems like ages. Sadly there's no sane show on tv currently. Leave getting addicted to them, I cant even tolerate how shitty they are.

As for Reporters2 I feel this is everybody's dream here and in my view sony might just think about doing it in some time. The biggest reason is that now most of the shows of sony have flopped. PKHJD is stuck at 0.2 only and unlike Reporters it doesnt have a dedicated online audience too. Even parvarish2 has opened to mediocre response with just 0.4 trp. Also the way IPNMP ended and how PKHJD is not being promoted by sony, I doubt Ekta will be interested in launching a new show on sony anytime soon. In all such cases Reporters2 does have a chance owing to its popularity and amazing team. Kritika has said that she will do S2 if it happens and so has Rajeev but in his last interview Rajeev said that we will next see him on big screen and he will take up tv after a while now.

So as much as there are hopes of a S2, it depends on chance as well. Its not necessary that when Sony wants to remake it all actors are free or not. So the best we can do is just hope. Also its important to keep mentioning about S2 from time to time. Like on twitter, all the fans, no matter how less or more we are, if we keep on doing this consistently, we will stay in the eyes of the makers. We need to keep reminding the makers/channel/actors that we all want a S2. A few tweets a month or a reply to anyone from team mentioning abt Reporters can do the trick. Tag them in new tweets about how much we miss reporters.

I think a good idea can be all of us who are on forum starting a fanclub/group on twitter. This will help to channelize our efforts and increase our network of KaYa fans. We can re-tweet each other and streamline our collective effort in that way.
