I actually preferred the malayalam and tamil versions.. Both Mohanlal and Kamal were phenomenal in the lead roles.. Needless to say that since they are two of the best actors in India.. Telugu version was a little off, since I didnt feel the same intense from Venkatesh as Mohanlal or Kamal.. Ajay is decent as well.. As for the police role, Asha Sarath nailed it all the way!! Such an amazing find she is!! 👏 Tabu unfortunately couldnt match up, which is surprising considering that it is the Tabu.. That said, the hindi version is definitely NOT overrated.. Infact its extremely underrated.. The south versions all were sleeper hits of the year.. So its disappointing the hindi version not matching up..

It was NEVER overrated. It's one of the few good movies that go unnoticed after a certain period of collections. Yes, Drishyam started off with a bang, but was lost midway.

It has everything - suspense, thrill, family drama, romance (??), everything.

We loved the movie.. Generally we never discuss movie after watching it but we ended up talking about this movie for an hour after watching.. It was refreshing for me to see how common man was bending system without power and money when we have alwyas seen influential people breaking laws and taking advantage.. It was so refreshing to see influential people helpless..
