Character Roshni -doormat or not ?

I read few comments about character roshni as female lead in JR that she is just doormat and not having major part or contribution to story🤪..she is just their to romance hero 🤣...and its waste of Nia's time and talent😲 ..

i wont say who said it..its a comment from general viewer of JR .. i was very angry at first...😆but later just laughed at regressive ppl be it trp aunties or online viewers both are same...bcoz of ekta and rashmi sharma's show ...ppl are still in backward days thinking female lead to be a powerful superwoman like simar fighting dayaans🤢...and like gopi to be complete sanskaari saying maaji ,ahemji🥱..or like typical ekta leads marrying diff ppl and still in love with one person ,lying and cheating their life partners😲 ...if either of above characteristics feature are not present in any FL that female lead is unfit 🥱😆

I mean if a FL is realistic ,having her own views about situation and not taking anybody's shit and who can question her hubby /mom when they are wrong are doormats ..like seriously if young audience have such opinion i wont blame SNS for topping trp chart 😆

I think except shiv and ayesha track i felt roshni had equal role and importance in every episode like DD and Sid..just that story is about Sid..they show his POV and him taking charge of solving problems 😛..but if we see ,this story JAMAI RAJA is running only bcoz of roshni 😆.whatever sid is doing from episode 1 is for roshni ..If she is not there what would jamai Sid do 😲

current shabby track is also bcoz of roshni...as shabby is jealous of roshni and want to ruin her life ..Sid or raghu track is also to kick shabby out ..which is again done by sid to make roshni happy...whole story is revolving round roshni and ppl say that she is having nothing to do😲

I agree that presently cvs are showing her dumb inorder to drag the track but i personally never felt her like doormat...nor never Sid or DD treated her like that 😆

P.S...I dont know why i made this long post😆 but felt like sharing my thoughts, seeing how regressive ppl are

Very well said CHANDZLOVESSIDNI Bang on post !! I totally agree with you . JR revolve around Roshni ! Nia's character is as important as Ravi and Achit . I think most of the Tv Bahu s or female leads are all doormat LOL , haven't changed in recent times .
TVs FL over the years been so lame it's always Ekta's shows that ruined women's image and point of view . Viewers are so used to seeing ignorant FL that's why they can't digest Roshni's character which it self is a far more better then most of the current female leads . 😆

You can't compare Roshni with the other bahus of other shows...those shows are the typical female oriented dramas and this is the opposite. If you look at it then Sid is the bahu and Roshni is the jamai in terms of those shows...lol!! Just like in those shows we see bahus fixing problems in their saasural here we have Sid fixing his saasural's problems. In those the bahus stand up for their husband's respect and happiness, here that is Sid.

I am not going to agree with the word "Doormat" for Roshni's character when she is being everything for her husband and a great strength & support for her mom... Roshni is a bold, well-educated and independent heroine of tv soaps unlike other saas-bahu soaps. But at present (specially after leap), I am not happy & satisfied with her character chandu😕 She is going very dumb and showing as very dependent also... I am not saying tht Roshni should stand against Shabby and defeat her alone. But wht I want and expecting frm the character is she shouldn't be shown always crying and going weak against Shabby. By now, she should ve tried something to prove Sid's innocence in MMS scandal... She never shouted or asked the police strongly whether thy are searching for her husband in all this 6 months... When DD is shown a working woman and Simran also, then I wish Roshni should also do something... not everytime, but atleast in this 6 months, when Shabby took over their property she shouldn't have depend on her when she has her own school. I am lil disappointed with her character portrayal after leap

I think Abi explained a lot of things which I wanted to say I completlyy agree roshni is not a doormat but yes Roshni character is been shown dumb post leap I agree the show is about Jamai and he is given the responsibility to sort the problems but what I am not happy is roshni is jus dependent on sid and DD to sort her problems she jus believes whats thrown her way be it by sid or DD well blame it on CVs their has been no character growth in roshni sid and DD Roshni was way better before leap she would not give up on situations and ppl who are saying its all about roshni sorry its not about roshni not once their has been a track on roshni even during yash drama roshni had no say and that was the most useless track what my problem with CVs is she is equally important as DD and sid so why not introduce a track on Roshni where she is shown sorting her problems to move her life why she needs a support of DD and sid she is been really shown weak offlate or probably CVs can introduce a guy for Roshni well I am not saying ignore Sid or DD when their has been a complete track on them then why not Roshni if only Jamai is their to sort the problems then why give importance to any characters they have given importance to simran also even villians have got more footage then Roshni at times

Roshni is not a doormat. If she was then you wouldn't have seen her kicking and beating the shit out of the ML! 😆 Like Rose pointed out, its Sid who is a door mat in the show - and in order to run a show of this genre one character has to be the Mahaan doormat to take the crap of others! 😛
