~ Chapter 5 ~

We're not friends. We're not enemies. We're just strangers with memories.

School on Monday was even worse combination than chilli ice-cream. The day had not even begun and Khushi was dreading the rest of it.

Maths was not one of her forte of excellence. In fact she hated it. She just got so lost between the numbers that it gave her a stinging headache. And when you have that headache for the very first hour of your school, you couldn't possibly think of another hell.

"Urgh" She groaned with frustration. She was probably trying for the hundredth time to prove the equation in front of her but failing miserably.

"Need some help, sweetpea?" Khushi turned around only to meet with the ugly face of Adin's friend- Dev.

"Not from you" She scoffed haughtily.

"Well, I can solve that question quite easily. If you haven't noticed I'm a maths genius. I could tutor you if you ask nicely enough." Cocky bas***d.

"Thanks but no thanks." She humped and started to go over the problem once again.

It was as if the heavens showed her some mercy when the bell rung throughout class signalling the end of the class. Khushi couldn't have been happier.

With an exaggerated sigh of relief, khushi picked up her books and headed to her locker to change them for the next class.

Her locker was a piece of her. Every detail on the locker showed a part of khushi. All her secret obsessions, sticky notes regarding studies, daily schedules and list of homeworks were all around the locker.

Khushi dumped her fatass maths text book and pulled out her report for the English class. Admittedly, it was one of her favorite classes this year. After collecting her belongings, khushi shut the locker and locked it for safety measures. Her book were far more priceless than her jewelry. Or that is what she thought. Once a nerd, always a nerd.

She looked at her watch and realized that there were still a few minutes until the lecture started so she leaned against her locker and closed her eyes. Maths sure gave her a headache.

She was in her happyland until someone decided to rudely interrupt it by shoving into her. Hard. So much so that she fell on her ass due to impact.

Scurrying on her feet she looked for the culprit who had pushed her and found the very famous Bad boy in flesh and blood.

She expected him to apologize or maybe look a little contrite but none of those happened.

She took a deep breath to control the anger that was fuming out of control on this rude display of behavior. Studying between elites and living in one of the very respected families, khushi was taught the values of mannerism at a very early age and upon seeing the lack of was clawing the insides of her prim and proper heart.

Upon that deep breath, she smelled something that she hadn't smelled since the party that few nights ago. Weed.

The stench was so heavy and disgusting that it almost made her gag. And to think that it was directing from Arnav made it all the more worse.

He sure didn't look like the sweet guy who had given her a ride home. He wasn't the same person who saved her from the bullies. Instead, in front of her stood a jerk with a loopy smile basking in the attention of the female spectators and preparing for devouring one of them for the night.

It was that moment, in which, khushi knew that she was blind to not heed the warnings. Blind enough to let Arnav slip a blindfold on her senses to make her feel stupid enough to not believe that under the skin of this charming, supposedly mannered, hot as hell specimen was a bad boy bone. One that he was born with. And one that cannot be removed.

It was then that the first shudder of fear ran through her spine because now she stood, as an open target for the bad boy and his minions who had surrounded her, ready for yet another round of bulling. Because that is what happens to the Good girls. And that is what Bad boys do.

DID YOU MISS ME? SAY THAT YOU MISSED ME! 😆

Hey everyone!!

I'm back!

As you people know, I was very sick a few days ago and then I had a lot of catching up to do with my missed work at college. So all in all, I was terribly busy this week.

I feel so very bad for not updating since so long.

*Sniffs*

ohmygosh! Finally you updated... just a bang after the break u have taken. This update is just tremendously awesome yaar...

So finally, we came to know about the bad side of arnav! Arggh how dare he push kushi?

Just yesterday was he acting all gentleman-ish and the next day, he is behaving like a well trained jerk!

The quote you used in the beginning of your story is apt and meaningful for this story...

I could roughly guess the further parts of this story but not sure yet..would love to read in ur awesome way of writing!

So who is this dev? An another badboy..are arnav and dev frnds are what?

Anyways awesome update on the whole!

p.s- ofcourse I missed u and ur story a lot...😳😳
