When Cricket meets Bollywood, guess what happens? Sparks fly and that's what happened recently at Hard Rock Caf, in Mumbai, when stars shone down in full spirit from the cricketing world and Bollywood at a post event party thrown by a sports channel. We were there right there (we are everywhere) at the exclusive private party. Salman Khan along with the Saawariya couple Ranbir and Sonam Kapoor represented the Bollywood fraternity. Surprisingly our Bollywood stars who are known for their late arrivals came on time! Sonam and Ranbir walked in first and Salman followed them for the party sharp on time, giving the cricketers a heartfelt welcome.
They enjoyed every moment of their encounter with the dashing sportsmen as they all chilled out at the V-VIP area of the caf. Salman looked handsome and dashing as always in a black leather jacket and denims while Ranbir sported a sophisticated look as he wore a black suit. However, one woman who made head turns for all the wrong reasons was Sonam Kapoor. She wore a red atrocious flared knee length outfit with black stockings which looked like the kathiawadi men's robe more than anything else! We wonder was it a deliberate attempt to get in the groove of the ongoing Navaratri festival?
Sachin Tendulkar walked in with wife Anjali and obliged his admirers with his trademark smile and easy demeanour. Ajit Agarkar, Pakistani former cricketer Ramiz Raja, Murali Kartik, Dinesh Kartik, Zaheer Khan, Venkatesh Prasad, Harbhajan Singh, RP Singh, Rohit Sharma followed soon. But the guy who stole the show was Indian captain Dhoni. When he entered sporting tee-jeans and gelled hair, all the girls present went berserk. While the Australian team without Nathan Bracken and Bret Lee enjoyed the attention they got. We heard Symmonds joking, "The wildest thing I've ever done in India is bungee-jumping! I did it from Taj Mahal." Salman presented the Aussies black leather jackets like the one he was sporting.
Sonam who was blushing all this while was later seen talking to Yuvi, with both giggling and having fun. The usually smiling Dhoni sported a rather smug look, in spite of enjoying a huge female following! (Or was Deepika's absence the reason?)
What surprised us the most was the captain and the vice captain's choice of ladies! While Yuvi and Mahi are best friends on and off the field Deepika and Sonam are arch rivals professionally!
