CRICKET is a gentleman's game and we Indians are known to be tolerant. I am a passionate lover of cricket and a good sport like every Mumbaikar.

I appeal to every Mumbaikar to refrain from the indecent behaviour that was witnessed at Wankhede on Wednesday. I appeal to every Mumbaikar to make the city proud with their good behaviour.

Cricket is a sport. It means competition and we have to appreciate a good game, especially a game like cricket, which we live and breathe. A fan has to take the game in the right spirit and appreciate the hard work and performance put in. After all, only one team wins. So, may the best team win!

It's not in us to be racist or condescending towards others. Fans should be sensitive to these issues, especially because as Indians we have fought against racism and caste for centuries.

I find it hypocritical to be racist in Mumbai or anywhere in India. It spoils the fun of the game.

It's okay to sledge to distract and play around with a player's mind. But if a fan wants to show passion, there are better ways.

Whatever has happened is sad, as it reflects badly on our sportsmanship and takes away from the spirit of the game. It doesn't reflect well on the country and its people.
