Katrina Kaif voices concern over Chennai floods

Katrina Kaif is seemingly concerned about the recent floods in Chennai. Speaking at the GQ Fashion night, the actress revealed that she was extremely concerned about the safety of the people stuck there, states a report on Deccan Chronicle. Katrina also remarked that people should do everything possible to help the victims.

The report goes on to state that when Katrina was asked about whether she has a message for the people of Chennai, she replied that her mother resides close to the affected area and that she was worried about her. Adding to it, the actress said that even though natural disasters cannot be controlled, everyone should do their bit to help the affected people.

Since the last few days, unexpected torrential rains have brought life to a halt in the city of Chennai. The Army and the Air Force were also called in for relief work as well as food distribution. While airport operations were suspended and roads remained flooded, residents have done their best to help those in need. Several celebs also took to social media to express their concern over the situation and to pray for the safety of residents.
