SRK to play extended cameo in Gauri Shinde's next?

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly be seen in an extended cameo in filmmaker Gauri Shinde's next movie, which also features Alia Bhatt.

"Contrary to rumours, Shah Rukh is not playing the lead. He will only be seen in a cameo," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

The source added that it was a women-centric project with three male leads.

"One of the male leads is from the south filmdom. The makers are closely guarding the names of the lead actors," he said.

The film is jointly produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions.

This will be Shinde's second directorial after the critically and commercially successful "English Vinglish" (2012).

So he is not the lead with Alia. That makes me feel so much better. Cameo i can handle, but i didnt think i could watch SRK romance Alia.

I have been saying all along that SRK is doing the role of a mentor to Alia and she has 3 young actors starring opposite her.

I guess SRK just wants to work with good directors like Gauri Shinde now, no matter the length of the role or if its a lead role or not.

Good decision, hes diversifying! 👍🏼

No I want him to be the lead actor and not a cameo appearance for aloo baby. I'm sure it's KJO's idea and desperately wanting his baby to be a superstar. I want SRK to play strong roles and not a cameo

He did an extended cameo in Billu too, didnt he? I like the fact that hes trying out different types of roles, not typical lead roles. At this stage, all 3 Khans have to diversify and reinvent themselves.

KJo is funding many more movies for his Aloo baby but I dont think Aloo is the reason for SrK to take up this movie,😆 Gauri Shinde is the reason. He wants to act under good directors now. Doing Raees with Dholakia, Fan with Maneesh Sharma, this one with Shinde and 2 more with Imtiaz and Anand L. Rai possibly. 👍🏼
