Great points, something that we have been discussing in IF... Hopefully things change in BW but doubt it... Since BW is a mini image of our societal mindset...

Misogyny in India, in Bollywood is ingrained!

Even the male newcomers get paid more than the female newcomers, though the public doesnt know either of them. Disgusting! 🤢

And that age factor, we have been posting abt that here daily. Why are 50 yr old heros supposed to be desirable while their 40+ yr old ex heroines are supposed to be too old to do heroine roles? 😡 These middle aged guys star opposite heroines 20 yrs younger, while the gorgeous older heroines sit at home waiting for roles. At least Hollywood is much better in this respect, famous older heroines get main lead roles. Though there is the glass ceiling in corporate life, at least HW doesnt show it.
