Mini's last venture Indian Idol 3 as an anchor, saw her getting a lot of appreciation and this time it only seems to be increasing with each passing performance. At present, Jhalak Dikhla Ja 2, is taking up most of Mini's time. "It is great to be a part of Jhalak, I am enjoying myself. I have always loved dancing. For me, Jhalak is not just a show, but a platform where I learn a new dance form every week. My choreographer Hemu is a fantastic person to work with, he is extremely hard working and co-operative," said Mini. When asked about her competitors, she said, "I am not taking Jhalak as a competition. In the show, I am competing with myself. After every performance, I work hard for my next one, thinking of outdoing it. For the past three years, I have been asking the masses to vote for others, now it's time to ask for some votes for myself." With a successful innings as an MTV VJ and then a TV anchor, Mini is in no mood to enter Bollywood, unless she is offered a role in a film that doesn't revolve around a stereotype. "I never gave acting in films a serious thought, as TV has always kept me busy and successful. But I would not mind if I come across an author-backed, appealing role," she said. |
